I feel like this is one of those hard and fast rules where you shouldn't use House Rules and up the limit to say, 15 seconds

I always try to find silver linings and at least now I'm finally shedding the few extra pounds I've needed to for so long
Even the 3 second rule isn't good either. It all depends on how much you trust the cleanliness of the floor.

If you're at a restaurant and drop food on the floor where you can clearly see dirt and shoe prints, 3 seconds isn't going to change my mind on if I eat it.

If I drop food in my kitchen that I know I swept and/or mopped in the morning, just wash off whatever might have been dropped (assuming it's something that can be washed)

Not my usual update but it's been awhile, figured I'd give something. So much construction lately, I hate when they don't put signs up, I'm too curious, I wanna know what's up lol

side note: the feral cats have been displaced and I wonder what they'll do, too, they lived back there and it's all gone now

Here's an update, I drove out that way and noticed there is a sign, and they're building a storage facility and U-Haul rental back there.

Then, on the way back to the building, I noticed something that pissed me off. Every single AC unit was uncovered except mine. Maintenance covered them up for winter. Winter is over. Everyone has access to their AC except me. Why? What's going on here?

I feel like at some point they're gonna shut me off completely and I'll be Costanza crawling through vents and shouting "I'M IN MY APARTMENT!"

yeah, if I'm not in my own living room or kitchen, the 3 second rule doesn't exist lol

It’s no different than any other vaccine you get. I personally didn’t have any issue with either other than the usual arm tightness from a needle going in your muscle. (I did have COVID in mid-Nov). But back in January I got knocked on my *** for a day by the tetanus booster I got. Even if you get some side effects, take a couple ibuprofen and relax for the day. It’ll pass.

First shot often doesn’t present side effects outside of arm soreness.

I had ill side effects after the second one that lasted five days though, but now I’m past it and am that much more immune to the virus, so it’s a price well paid.

So far my experience. Got it this morning, have been pretty fine since. Made sure to get an appointment for my mother here when vaccines first opened, she had a bigger reaction but manageable to #2. I don't mind it tbh, happy to to protect myself and my family.

I got my second shot (Moderna) last Saturday. after the the first shot my arm hurt so bad till the following Thursday I swore up & down there was no way in hell I was getting that second shot. fast forward from that day to last Saturday I changed my mind and was okay with going through that unbearable pain (I don't know why it affected me like that, I generally have a high tolerance for pain)
but when I actually got into the waiting room I had an anxiety attack fearing the arm soreness and almost walked right out. but I held fast and stayed.
anywho long story longer I had very little arm soreness from that second shot and alls well that ends

I'm getting my 1st one soon too.

Like what others said, sounds like your arm will be sore for the first day or so. Maybe headaches as well, but hopefully that's all.

I dont think I've gotten any needles in over a decade. Not that I've ever been scared of getting a needle, but it will feel weird regardless because of how rarely this happens.

Just about gave myself a heart attack to wake up today.

Booted up my laptop, only to get a message saying it couldn't log in because of some user profile error. Restarted it and it logged me in after going to some "preparing windows" screen, except EVERYTHING was gone! All files, photos, everything!

I went to system restore, and it said I never backed up anything (not even those windows update backups that get auto done).

Didnt know what else to do. I thought all my files were gone forever which would've been horrible since many important things are on it. Yes, I manually do back up some files on my external drive, but many hasn't been backed up since probably Christmas (I do it about once every quarter), and didnt think of backing up other files at all in all the years I've had a drive.

I restarted the laptop and randomly everything came back.

I'm backing up every last file on the laptop now, everything from photos to browser bookmarks and everything in between.

It's not even 10am....how was everyone else's day lol.
