and Wonderbread definitely isn't inconsequential. Ricky Bobby don't do inconsequential. if you ain't first, you're last.

or maybe L&H is on to something. I probably didn't really latch on to Wonderbread until Ferrell did lol

I steadfastly maintain age doesn't necessarily qualify one as an adult

I know it can happen every year, though even then it's still rare, but I just read a story about twins being born on different years.

As in one was born December 31 at 11:45pm and the other on January 1.

That whole thing feels so weird though having birthdays in different years like that.

The thing I'm thinking about is schools. The twin born 15 minutes earlier will be a whole year ahead of the other twin when it comes to school? That seems so bizarre.

School is determined by age, not what year they were born in. With the exception of one day, they will always be the same age and in the same grade.

Are things different in the US?

Because here, its determined by calendar age.

This past year for example, anyone starting kindergarten in fall 2021 must have been born in 2017. So a kid born December 31, 2017 would be allowed to enroll, but January 1, 2018 would have to wait until fall 2022 to start.

Here it is pretty much, if they just turned the age the day before school starts, they can go, and vice versa.

I remember some weird stuff with my brothers where if you were born after a certain date, you had to wait months to a year to get into elementary or something like that.

Never knew this was a thing. People actually interpret holding a mug to mean different things about a person.

I guess I have multiple personalities because I hold a mug all of those ways lol

For me, I hold it like #3. It just makes sense for me. I never like holding the handle. I like feeling the mug in my hand, and the handles are often the weakest part of the mug. Just feels like an extra strain you're putting on your wrist to drink something when you hold it that way, since the weight is from the other half of the mug.
