    It's a shame.
I'm conflicted because I don't know the inner workings of how these things work. On one hand I log in and see a lot of forum updates about games I don't think most people care about, but are there incentives there? idunno

if not, it sorta seems like forum topics that generate chatter should be brought up instead, but maybe that's on us? again

the fluidity of navigating seems gone, I think people are kinda stuck between trying to contribute to keep things moving or just moving on

I'll continue to stop by and browse just as I always have. The change in the user interface may have irked some people, but just about everything in life changes.

I can think of two things that don't change in life, though. One is politics. Ruin eventually comes to just about every person or conversation that politics gets involved with. The other is mankind's unending desire to be competitive. No matter the age, nearly all people have a spark for wanting to win or complete what they are working on. That is partially what led me to come to OperationSports in the first place—roster updates for NCAA over the years. And I have no plans to stop doing that.

I hate that the college Pick Em stopped this year, though. I truly appreciate Tovarich for doing that each year.

Yeah, and no posts in this subforum in the last three days. Crazy considering how active it used to be, especially a decade-plus ago. Oh well, times change, and I haven't spent as much time here lately anyways (so it not being as active is also partially on me), but the new forum format really hurt my participation, too...don't love the look TBH and also the forum being down for a bit didn't help. Also, it is crazy to see zero discussion in the CFB forum, though I guess I could help that by participating myself, too...I just remember back in the late 2000s when each weekly thread would be tens (hundreds?) of pages long...

Random late night rabbit hole that just makes you think....

From the time of the big bang until the time when all life and galaxies are estimated to end, if you were to condense it into a calendar year, our current point in existence is January 1st, 12:07am.

Everyone's always like "what might life be like in 10 years from now, 50 years, 100 years", but human history in 5000 years is still such an insignificant part of life in existence.

50000 years from now there might not even be a single sign that humans ever existed, and even then there's still so much more history left to be played out.

Also makes you wonder about just how much history we don't know about when it comes to the existence of the planet.

No wonder I always feel hungover.

What happened at 9:49am on 9-13-25 that there was 178k people online? (which is an all-time record). Was there a bot festival?
