First official cases in Ohio. Three confirmed, all near Cleveland.

The only concern I have is that my wife is a nurse in a nursing home. We are about 45 minutes east of Cleveland.Comment

Some school employee in the next county over tested positive, and now all schools in that county are closed tomorrow (not sure for how long).
Wonder how this will affect the MLB. As of right now they do not plan on postponing games, but there are cities like here for the Braves where we have cases just a few minutes from the stadium.Comment

The big press conference today touched upon some relief for hourly workers who miss time because of illness and have no sick leave. Some companies are already providing a safety net of sorts.
I remember how haphazardly and incorrectly many FEMA funds were distributed after Katrina.Comment

The virus is really hampering us at work.
I work for a electronic component distributor and some of our parts, and most used/ordered parts, are made overseas. Due to the spread of the disease, we are seeing lead times increase anywhere from a range 4 weeks to infinite, meaning they don't know when they will re-start production.
I know the primary focus is on one's health, but the economic impact this virus is having is starting to get concerning.OSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

UVA is suppose to be making an announcement in the next day or so. Currently the students are on break, but I would not be surprised if they did the same thing as OSU. I know they were discussing that same solution last week in admin meetings.

It's been reported that the fatality rate for Coronavirus is 34 times higher than the flu. I don't know how accurate that is given the fact we don't know how many people have it and at what level.Comment

Re: CDC Officials Warn of Coronavirus Outbreaks in the United States.
We just received and email at work that anyone showing cold or flu-like symptoms will be asked to return home.
We were also told that our upper management is currently working on plan that we could work from home if needed. At this time its not expected but the possibility exists.
We are also closing our will call and walk in counter area until April 1st. All will call orders will be moved to delivery (we offer free delivery)I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
