I always sim games against teams in the bottom 3 on the table. I sim all preseason friendlies. And after that its just a random one here and there. I play 85% of the league games I would say. And I play all cup games.

Since i'm a pretty small club,with a transfer budget of 2,500,000 should i hold of on opening a youth academy?

Its really more of a preference. I don't think that is too little to spend on a youth program. But you can't do both. You will have to commit to one or the other. Start a decent youth program (good scout) or try and get a solid transfer or two.

And really doing the transfers might be more of a pain. Because you probably have bad scouts for that and their info will be off, or the ranges will be far apart. I recently got into soccer, the World Cup this year was a huge part of. Having a friend who plays it in college doesn't hurt either. However, I have had Fifa since the PS4 launch and played it a few times. The World Cup really got me into a soccer mood, so I started a career up managing Crystal Palace using Orion's sliders. Boy was it tough at first. Using Legendary sliders and not having too much knowledge really put me in for a hurting.

It took until game 5 to score my first goal of the year. Then in game 6 I believe, I draw 3-3, then go on like a 7 game stretch where I won 5 and drew 2 to put me at good shape in the table. Now 25 games in I am sitting at 10-5-10 and happy with my progress. I am still learning about the game, teams, and players, but I have done some management and brought in a few new offensive pieces and tried to build an overall fast team up front. I run a 3-4-3 Diamond and am having a blast.

I also was hired for the Northern Ireland job and had one heck of a debut. I went up 2-0 real quick on Spain, but at the 86th minute they snatched the lead. 4 extra minutes were given and I tied it back up at 3, then in the 93rd I hit the game winner. Friendly or not I was pumped. I somehow scored 4 on Spain and beat them with a poor Northern Ireland team. England brought me back to Earth with a 2-1 defeat, then the USA defeated me most recently on the international side of things. In my Crystal Palace season I just won my most recent game over Arsenal 3-1 with all 3 goals being headers which I am very proud of.

So ended the season by winning the EPL by 2 points over Arsenal. First league title in 5 seasons. Also lost to Chelsea in the Champions Cup. I lost two cup finals and lost in a semi in another. And barely held on to win the league title. Brutal but fun season.

Just qualified for the WC with England. By 1 point in the second place slot. I lost to Greece 1-0. Which was a shocker. They were bottom of the table with only 1 win the entire qualifying. Then I drew with the first place team Austria. Finished 1 point ahead of Bolivia. Was good thing I didn't lose to Austria or Bolivia would have gotten in on GD. They had had me by 1 in that.

Currently sitting on top of the table 8-4-0 been a great start to my new season with Peterborough United, Britt Assombalonga has been great leading the scoring chart with 9 goals for the season and 2 in the Capitol 1 Cup.

With Promotion in sights in the early stages of the season, I am looking at my shaking up the roster slightly at the end of season transfer period, I have a few young and up and coming CB's in Shuan Brisley, Jack Baldwin, and Ben Nugent (who is on loan to Middlesborough this season) I also have my starting CB, 25 year old Michael Bostwick who's value is at $975,000 and his wages are fairly high, I am looking at putting him on the transfer market at seasons end as I feel the younger players can step up and cover his role!

With the January transfer window not too far away, I have been heavily scouting a RB from AFC Wimbledon in Jim Fenlon who is valued at $250,000 and would be a great back-up and future starting RB behind Mark Little.

Going to attempt to start a new career tonight. I really wish I could handle playing the CPU, because the manager mode just isn't that deep, to me, outside of the games.

The GTN is a pain, and scouting takes too long to see results, especially when I'm not playing games. Maybe I'll try to play a couple cup games with my youth/reserves along the way. I'll update with my team choices later on.

What I've noticed about this years FIFA:

Tackling / taking the ball away from the CPU is super easy

CPU marking is absurd; they just run at the ball and take it from you.

So why isn't there a ball control or tackling slider?

Got fired from Man City. Two months into the season. I will be honest. I was simming every game. I just wanted to get to the end of the season to play the 2018 WC. We were 5th in the EPL, but lost the first game of F.A. and Capitol One cups. And then I lost the first three games of the Champions. And they gave me the boot!

Then it let me pick from only two teams. Both in Ligue 1, which I thought was odd. I picked one can't even remember the name. Not like it matters now, lol. They fired me at the end of the season. Simmed all the games and finished mid table, which is what they wanted from me. I have no idea why they fired me. I played two games into the group stage of the WC and then got fired. Then there was like 40 jobs to choose from. But I didn't want any of them. So I just randomly picked one. Going to try and move to MLS some how.

Won all three games in the group stage as England. Round of 16 came from behind down 1 late in the second to score to two goals on S. Africa to advance. Then played France in the quarters. What a game. They go up 1-0. I tie it 1-1 just before half. They go up 2-1 right away. I tie it up 2-2 in the 92nd minute. Extra time I score to go up 2-3 right before the end of the first 15. Then they tie it back up right at the start of the second 15 at 3-3. Then they get a penalty at the 119th minute and I miss the save. France wins 4-3.

I think I might be done with this game for a bit.

The perfect clearances by cpu to team mates and not enough fouls/ cards called I hope are fixed in 15. More customized manager mode for tourneys, cups, etc as well including more national teams/leagues included.

I am in year 3 as Everton mgr, staying steady in top 3 of EPL, group stage of champions cup, and still in other cups. Thinking about leaving US post as boring unless playing a tourney, and hopefully getting euro side to try getting through euros, qualification, and WC 2018.

All right guys here goes:

I started a career as the Queens Park Rangers with the goal of getting promoted to the Premier League. Well I finished 3rd the first season behind Wigan Athletic and Watford F.C. I still had a shot in the Championship playoff but lost to Middlesbrough in the first round.

I also finished 2nd in the FA Cup with a loss to Chelsea in the final 3-0 but still qualified for the Europa League next season.

Got eliminated from the League Cup by Fulham and the eventual winners were Everton 2-1 over Man U.

Now onto my epic quest with Wales.

After narrowing down all the jobs (none of which were that great anyhow) I accepted the offer to coach Wales because I wanted Bale. Since I took over the coaching position kind of late in the year they were only one game down from Belgium in qualifying. I lost my first friendly to Portugal 1-0 and won my next one against Peru so I was in. Landed in the following group:

Spain
Wales
South Korea
Egypt

Talk about luck of the draw!! First game against Egypt was a good old fashioned whooping. Only ended 2-0 but had something like 78% possesion and mr terrific Bale assisted on both of my goals. Next game against South Korea was my biggest surprise yet. They came to play. I was constantly on the defensive from a barrage of attacks until Mr Bale came through again with the nastiest of assists for my only goal. Held on to win it 1-0. I had 6 points now and was assured advance into the knockout stages but i wanted to avoid playing a top squad so i wanted to win my division. South Korea and Egypt were way out of it and Spain had 4 points. A draw or win would have me leave the group at the top. My guys were in top form for this game and I was on the offensive all game. Had a few scary moments and one incredible, ridiculous shot in the 88th from Bale on the right outside the penalty that curved around all the players in to the far post and bounced off so the game ended 0-0. I was in.

As I'm relaxing, grinning from ear to ear I sim the game a bit to find out who I have to play first round. .................BELGIUM
I hate waffles.
It was 4:30 in this morning but I was addicted. My underdog Welsh team was giving it to the big boys. Game on.
This was my hardest game yet. Neither team could do much of anything and Hazard just kept attacking me all game. 0-0 FT, time for ET. In the first five minutes of extra time Bale exploded on a run into the enemy box. He was immediately surrounded by 3 Belgian defenders and managed to barely pass the ball over the leg of one. That's all we needed. After not being able to do anything all game I suddenly had one of my midfielders burst into the frame and hammer the ball into the opposite post and into the net. That was it. I went super defensive and got the 1-0 win. Elation! Even the announcers were stunned. Then the hammer dropped. Next game had me facing a German buzzsaw that had just annihilated Hungary 4-0. I really didn't feel like getting my face smashed at 05:30 this morning so that was it for me.

Next update will be tonight after Planet of the Apes. Hopefully the Welsh can do the impossible.

Started a new career as Plymouth Argyle FC of the Football League Two in England. Plymouth is one of the oldest clubs in the League, fielding a soccer team since 1886. My goals are to fight for promotion and make it to the round of 32 in the Domestic Cup. I won my first competitive match 2-0 over Hartlepool. It was scoreless until I got one goal at the 85' minute mark and another before time expired .Now, I'm in Round One of the Capital One Cup away at Huddersfield.

I bought 2 players during the offseason transfer window and they each accepted my contract offer, I got the two confirmation emails saying that they were on their way to the training grounds, yet in the transfer negotiations screen it says "club retracted" and neither of the players are in the squad. What the hell kind of bs is this.
