Doing Career Mode with VfR Aalen of the Bundesliga 2. It's been really tough, started out with a 200K ish transfer budget about about 2K for wages. Also, only started with 1 player that had above 70 potential (Joel Pohjanpalo, striker born in 1994).

Probably one of the toughest rebuilds I've ever worked on in FIFA just due to the lack of funds.

1st Season: I was able to get a few useful players on loan and from free agency, while selling a few of my older guys to free up wage money. Team had almost no depth though. I got eliminated from the DFB Pokal in the first round, so after that I was able to focus on the league. Was actually near a promotion spot (4th, 5th ish) for most of the season, but late in the year a lot of my guys got hurt and due to a lack of depth I had to roll with some really, really crappy squads. Finished 7th in the league. Also didn't have much money to pay for scout trips so I wasn't able to really add anyone worthwhile to my Youth Squad.

2nd Season: Started out with a really bad team because all of my loanees went back, and I had an even lower transfer budget. I lost my first 5 league games, after which point I was like, "Screw it" and focussed all my attention on the DFB Pokal. I kept getting really lucky draws and didn't even have to play a team from the top Bundesliga division until the semi-final (Hoffenheim), who I was able to beat. Then in the final I faced Dortmund. I scored the luckiest early goal ever, then literally put 8 defenders on the pitch (with Pohjanpalo) and parked the bus for the rest of the game to steal a 1-0 win. Advancing so far in the cup left me with a lot of money to go out and get some 3 star scouts which would come in handy in the 3rd season. I finished dead last in the league, but wasn't relegated because the Bundesliga 3 isn't in FIFA, also wasn't fired (even though the board had demanded another high finish) because of my performance in the cup.

3rd Season: This is where things really started to come together for me. I had a decent starting budget (about 1M) and was able to go out and get some really good players on loan like Declan John (LB) and was also able to sell a few guys and buy Victor Andrade from Santos (CF). My team was actually pretty good (2.5-3 stars) and I was able to advance to the round of 16 in the DFB Pokal. I drew Bayern at that point and suffered the worst loss I've ever had in FIFA, 7-0 (I play on WC, 6 minutes, no sliders btw). They basically had their same team as in real life but with Falcao at striker lol so I got annihilated. Anyway, this season I actually did well in the league, but it was so tight. Near the end of the season I was in 3rd place (promotion playoff spot) but the TENTH place team was only 5pts back of me, that's how tight it was. The 2nd place team (FC K'Lautern) was about 5pts ahead and the 1st place team was like 15pts clear of everyone. I won almost every game down the stretch though, and the last game of the season was me vs. FC K'Lautern. They were 3 points ahead of me, but I had a better goal difference by a pretty wide margin, so if I won the game I'd finish 2nd and get automatic promotion; any other result and they would. I ended up winning 3-2. Took a 2-0 lead in that game, then they tied it, but I scored a late goal to win it with Joel Pohjanpalo.

4th Season: This is my current season, and I'm in the Bundesliga obviously after being promoted. The great thing about that third season is that because of the scouts I hired after my 2nd year, I was able to get some absolute monsters in my youth squad. I took notes on a few of them that I called up (don't actually have FIFA open in front of me atm), I think they're all 16 or 17 years old.

Sapina and Goretzka in particular are gonna be superstars, so I'm really excited about that. Sapina is from France, Odoom and Salawu are Nigerian and I believe the rest are German or Austrian.

I also made my first big signing this season thanks to my best budget yet: 2,500,000 Euros transfer budget with 20,000 Euros for wages. I got Levin Oztunali, 74 OVR, born 1996, and has "Showing Great Potential". He's a Central Defensive Midfielder, and he's gotten to mid 80s in past careers I've done so I'm very excited about that.

I'm off to a crappy start though, haven't won any of my first 6 games with 1 draw and 5 losses. I'll post an update with my actual squad later.

Anyone else notice that most all the players, at least like 70% of them, that you find with youth scouts are super short. It seems like the average height is 5' 1". I've seen guys as small as 4' 6". What the hell. Its like hitting the lottery to find a guy taller than 5' 5".

I bought 2 players during the offseason transfer window and they each accepted my contract offer, I got the two confirmation emails saying that they were on their way to the training grounds, yet in the transfer negotiations screen it says "club retracted" and neither of the players are in the squad. What the hell kind of bs is this.

And if you look, you are probably paying their salary. If I have it straight these were probably players with expiring contracts and not straight transfers?

I didn't know teams straight up offered you jobs. I thought you could only apply for the.

I just got an email from N.E.C. offering me the manager job on January 1st. I started over with Dundee United in the Scottish Premier League. Killing it in the first half of the season. Second on the table, 3 points behind the leader. And 12 points ahead of third. I turned it down though. Want to stick it out here and see how my guys turn out. Maybe I'll leave for the right the job. But I plan on staying at this club for a while.

I also got offered the New Zealand national job. And the South African job. I took the New Zealand job. Agent was saying Finland was looking to offer me the job, but I wasn't going to wait around and maybe not get it. Man is New Zealand's team is bad. Gonna be tough, but should be loads of fun. I find rebuilding with weaker teams more fun. When you go to select your squad for call ups, there is 5 guys in the pool to replace with the 23 on the roster, lol.

I thought I hated this game because of seasons but now I'm getting into manager mode and having a blast! here is my line up entering year 3 with QPR (won league in yr 1, promoted to premier and yr 2 got 10th place but managed to win the fa cup vs Liverpool 4-3 on penalties!)

So second half of the season with Dundee United didn't go as well. Still finished second however. But 18 points behind Celtic. And oddly 15 points ahead of the third place team. Went into the 2nd leg and no movement was made by any team due to how far apart each potion was. The standings were exactly the same at the end of the little 6 team tourney. Which means I qualified for champions cup. I will get crushed.

With New Zealand in the WC group stage I got placed with Brazil, Russia and Whales. First game I lost 2-1 to Russia. It was a good game and I almost tied it up after being down 2-0 at the half. Second game I beat Brazil in an amazing game. I scored first and then countered late to break a tie for a 2-1 victory. After two games Russia lead with 6 points, Brazil was ahead of me on GD by 1 (each with 3 points) and Whales with 0.

So I had to win and hope Russia beat Brazil, or Brazil only one 1-0. And I needed to win 3-0 just to be safe. But Whales gave me the hardest game of the three. They went up early and held the lead until I scored late in stoppage time to get the draw. So I went home early. And of course Brazil went on to win the WC. The only team I beat and they win the WC.

I feel like I play this game too much. I think I have a problem. Anyways.

Start of the second season with Dundee United I changed our formation from a 4-2-3-1 to a 4-1-2-3. I want more attacing help up front. So far I'm liking it. But may need to tweak work rates.

Made a couple moves to pick up a couple wingers. The board actually gave me money I asked for. I was shocked. I asked for a million and they gave it to me. So I was able to make a few changes that I wanted. We started 2-1-0 in the first three games.

We also drew Marseille in the first round of the Champions cup, or the playoff round before the group stage. And in the first leg we won 1-0. I was so shocked. They dominated all game but couldn't convert a chance. And I stole a header from a corner last minute. Then in the second leg we just dominated them. I have no idea what happened. I expected to get blown out. But we won 3-0. I scored super early off an intercepted pass for a one on one with the keeper. Planted it top corner for the goal. After that they fell apart. So I made it to the group stage. Which was my objective. And unfourtunatly for me we are in a group with Juventus and Madrid. Can't remember the third team right now. But I'm not making it out of the group.

Then I quite the New Zealand job. No new players were getting added to the pool of the 38 that already existed. And most of them were older and dropping in stats. So the team really was not going to get any better. And I realized the only thing they would be in is the WC. So now I'll wait for another offer. I got one from India the second I quit, but they were worse off and in the same region so no thank you.

So I'm at the January period in my first season as manager at Peterborough, My targets are Jim Fenlon from AFC Wimbledon and Cameron Lancaster from Tottenham also may look at bringing in a CM on loan for the rest of the season as I am making a big push for the F.A Cup and i have to face QPR in the next match!...I'm sitting comfortably second on the tables with 16-6-3 behind Wolverhamton who have been dominating this season on 20-3-2, Sako has scored 19 goals and Edwards has scored 17 goals already for Wolverhampton. With my main striker Britt Assombalonga(14 Goals) going down for 3 weeks my upcoming F.A Cup match against QPR just got a whole lost tougher!. I've turned down a bunch of International offers so far as none of them really interested me except Wales so far.

Decided to share my 1860 Munich career mode with the forum. i have done numerous career modes with them so i had the strengths and weaknesses down. first thing i did was address the defense. I signed a 58 overall 20 year old left back from Romania named Bogdan vatajelu since moritz volz is in his 30's and i don't feel like phillip steinhart is quite ready for first team. Bogdan has 88 acceleration,89 sprint speed,85 agility and 82 balance. Next i bought Gael Perdomo a 64 overall 23 year old from venezuela. Vitus eicher also has trouble with consistency so i needed a security blanket. Gabor Kiraly doesn't have much left the must i cold get out of him is 1 and if fifa is feeling generous 2 years. my last signing so far was a 18 year old striker named Hampus Ojala who is 62 and promising.

Now into mid September in season 2 with Dundee United. Sitting tied at the top of the table with Celtic.

Won the first game of Champions Cup group stage against CSKA Moscow in a surprising shut out. Won 2-0. Then lost in the final seconds against Jevuntus 2-1 in the second game. I tie it up at 88' mark. Then they get a goal off a 38 foot shot through 4 defenders and the keeper never moved to even try and block it. I threw my controller across the room. Sitting in third on the table. Behind CSKA on GD by 1. Four games to go.

Also have two Natinal team jobs on the back burner. Waiting to see what else comes in. The two teams offering right now are Slovenia and Venezuela. Wouldn't mind either job. But waiting to see if I can get something like Finland or Scotland.

Anyone else run into an issue with players not progressing? I've had Yedlin on my team for two years now. And he is still a 72. Is that his max? Is his potential limit a 72? He tears it up even for that rating. But it just seems weird that everyone else goes up a point or two, some times three or four each year. But he never moves. This last season he had 10 assists, 8 goals and an average of 8.2. And if hes on the ball he always wins it. Hes a beast of a RB. So not sure why hes not advancing. His value doesn't even go up.

Yeah I have a ST (Inaki Williams) in my Bilbao CM that just simply will not improve that much even though he's bagging a goal every 1.5 games over the course of 2 years. He's gone up a few points but with that production he should be up at least 7-10 points. Oh well, he plays much higher than his rating though.

In my Everton gig, year 3, quit US job after south america cup championship. Im in december, and just got offered Spain and Colombia jobs, wow. Must be my year 2 double, EPL and Euro Cup champs. Everton year 3 I am sitting 1 point back in champs league group in 3rd place, with 1 match to go against FC Basil. I need a win, and a draw or loss in other teams match to advance. I am in Semis of Capital One Cup with match against Swansea, and still in FA Cup. EPL I am consistently in top 4 so far. Still having a blast, hope 2015 is even better.

P.s. Diego Costa is my nightmare in champs league as I faced him twice with Athletico Madrid. Think he has scored 3 times against me in 2 games.

Season started falling apart. Dropped to mid table. Fell to the last in the Champ cup group with only two games to go. Had massive injuries. Was signing terrible players from youth and free agents to fill positions. It was a nightmare. I was going to be fired at the end of the season for sure. But then I got an email from Leeds United offering me the job. I was shocked. Second offer sent to me. And since I knew this was a sinking ship I did the punk move and took the job. And ended up on an even worse team, lol. There were dead last in the FL. Set a goal of finishing mid table. Roster in the same shape as I left Dundee. Massive injuries.

Played 3 games and moved up to 16th on the table with two wins a draw. No way I will be able to get top table for euro.

Also right before I was about to accept the Ecuador job, Finland offered me the position. So I took that. Currently qualifying for EC. Sitting in third, but tied with Russia in second on everything at 8 points. My objectives are to qualify for EC and WC in 2018.

after going on a horrible losing streak I decided to tweak my formation a bit and change to a 4-1-3-1-1 and it has broken my slump. I'm currently on a 3 game win streak with giovani and Austin breaking their scoreless streaks with 3 goals and 1 goal respectively. backup wales standout Vokes has scored twice and jordi alba scoring twice and getting three assists from the back!
