Luton Town - September 2014 Update

Luton Town had a very successful month, going 3-2-0 and moving to 2nd place in the league table, 1 point behind leader Southend United.

9/6/13: Shrewsbury Town 2-2 Luton Town

(LUT) Guttridge 7'
(SHR) Singer 71'
(LUT) Hessenthaler 78'
(SHR) Akpa Akpro 90+2'

A disappointing draw after leading nearly the entire game.

9/13/14: Luton Town 1-0 Dagenham & Redbridge

(DAG) (OG) Batt 60'

Tough defensive battle that had only an own goal be the difference. Very few chances on either side.

9/16/14: Luton Town 2-2 Oxford United

(LUT) Benson 7', 34'
(OXF) Morris 11'
(OXF) Hylton 90+5' (OXF)

Another disappointing draw after controlling most of the 2nd half.

9/20/14: Exeter City 0-4 Luton Town

(LUT) Guttridge 2', 9', 87'
(LUT) Benson 21'

A dominating performance with Exeter City managing only 2 shots all game. Guttridge's hat trick came in garbage time after the game was already far out of reach.

9/27/14: Luton Town 2-1 Bury

(LUT) Benson 8', 26'
(BRY) Hussey 89'

Another late goal surrendered by Luton Town, but thankfully there was a 2 goal cushion.

Well im in a panic now, Gotze just requested a transfer with 4 days remaining in the transfer window before the season starts.

Board have my backing whatever i do. But i dont want a player in my squad that doesnt want to be there.

Ive had a look, Kesuke Honda at AC Milan is going cheep usually 10 million, they say i might be able to get him for 6.5k

Ill need a CAM/CM in those 4 days tho. I have Isco under consideration.

Yeah you can take a country through qualification and then play in the cup in the off season every 4 years. Also Euros, Sth American Championships etc

You have to play well for the better teams to ask for you, so far best offers i got were Sweden and Colombia.

Poland keep hassling me but i keep saying no.

So I started a career with the Colorado Rapids. They looked to have a young squad so I chose them. Just wanted to learn all aspects of the game on and off the field before I pick a better challenge.

If I do well, can I get offered jobs from other leagues?

I know it didn't have much actual gameplay impact, but it seemed to be a way to make some minor impact on player morale/confidence. At least it made me feel that way. When you have a big game coming up or against a rival you do have an option for press conference you will also get an email to participate in the conference.

I know how you feel man, I had a good Real Madrid MM going and then CR7 wanted a raise so I offered just a bit more he refused wanted to leave 2 days before winter transfer window deadline. I restarted a new Real Madrid MM and he wanted a raise again so I asked the board to give me more money cuz I spent all of mine on getting Vidal and Ibrahimovic. So i got more funding and changed the finance setup so all of it goes to my wages. Offered Ronaldo what he wanted 1 year 625K every week but he rejected saying he's not sure he wants to stay. Lately he said that he doubts about leaving but still not committed staying long term. Now Casillas wants a raise 1 year 210K might give it to him. I've made it to late March got a Clasico match next for first place, behind Barca by 2 points. Also made it to Copa Del Rey final vs Sevilla. Forgot to enable UCL for this season.

I will also try out that thing people do where they put the finance meter all the way 100 to transfer budget at the end of the season, and they get a **** ton of money when they start the new season.

Well, my start to the season with Leeds United is not that great. This just shows you how much the game improved in certain areas and where it is still shambolic (Goalkeepers! EA FIX THEM!).

However, I do enjoy it. It's a nice challenge compared to FIFA 14 .

Playing with QPR, it's a lot of fun!

I bought Kampl (12M), Ings (3.5M), Scuffet (6M) and Hinteregger (6M). Sold all the old players.
Here's the starting XI.

And here's the league table at midseason. We started awfully, but improved in November and December.

Just got to my transfer window. I was able to sell Wright-Phillips for nearly 6 mil. My transfer budget isn't high so I decided to have my scouts look for players with 1 year left on their deals. Found two goalkeepers valued at 9 mil and 10 mil. I've offered both of them contracts instead of paying a transfer fee. The idea is to sell the other to make some bank. Am I the only one doing this? I tries going to fa route but there isn't anyone worth signing.

Also I've been playing on WC and getting my *** handed to me. I couldn't understand why. I play with two cdms. I couldn't figure out I couldn't get stops further up the pitch. I had to change their roles. So they now cut off passing lanes. I also make my wingers and cam come back and defend. I don't think I'd have to this with better players. Anyone tried changing their player roles??

Use the protect ball button quite often when receiving passes when the passer is sprinting. Also I realized that my offense is actually so much butter when i put my team to play in Ultra Defensive. The counter attacking is great.

Anyways finally managed to resign CR7! 4 years. Also beat Barca and Levante to take 1st place of Liga by 3 points. El Shaarawy making his second appearance for Madrid after breaking his elbow in his debut match!
