No problem. I hated typing it, lol. I wanted these changes to be positive. Instead they put more poop on an already large pile. Simply adding a customizable aspect would erase all the negative. Instead we're force fed nonsense that we either find workarounds for, or just except. The work around just got more annoying. The old way of saving at various points so you can go back and try to redeem yourself starting again in December, and the new one....never playing as a team you want to use if they have board expectations that contradict how you play.

    Another year of E.A. .......Whooohooo

Maybe they can modify it through a patch? Hopefully..

Doubt it. Honestly it seems like something that wasn't thought out at all. Maybe I'm wrong, but it doesn't seem like clubs use their youth teams a mini piggy banks, where they develop players just for a profit.

It seems like they tossed it together so something "new" would be in CM. I swear they put it in the game without testing it. The lack of information you get for selling out your stadium, etc isn't even in the game. You don't know what you need to do (besides the obvious, win games,)to accomplish it.

Heck, I was using a league 2 team, and within 2 seasons I had to profit off my youth players by reaching around 40-50 million.

Wtf? In two seasons? I could sell every player already on the squad and not get that, but I have to sell 16, 17, and 18 year-olds to make it? Lol!

So, to answer your actual point. They smothered this with too much dung to patch it. But hey, at leat there aren't 100's of 4'11" midgets in youth academies this year. That took 5 years to get fixed.

This will be the first time I've played fifa in about 4 or 5 years so I don't know much about it.. but yeah this sounds really concerning.

Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the heck out of the game. I like gameplay. Just the small things that either haven't changed or got worse annoy me.

Couldn't you develop 2 Goalkeeper and sell one? Another think how good grow ur player in a year ? May bump is apperently gone, sayed bamastriker 9. I simed couple month but my youth player didn't grow to much maybe by 1 overall .

Yeah, that's what I did (developed more than one player for each position, etc.) Problem: I hate having a 60ovr, 80-90pot......just to sell. Lol

I really wonder what will happen if you hit all your other goals but don't make that crazy expectation.

Think it depends on the team, and what level expectation the item is. I just wrapped up season one with Grimsby town in league 2. Expectations were low for everything. I met everything but finishing mid table. I finished 20th (simmed the season) and I didn't get canned.

So, that's something I suppose. Years past I would have been without a job. I guess in some ways I just don't like how they treat the youth academies, since I sim my first season building a youth squad to take over season 2.

I think you will be fine when ur Manager rating is over 50. I run a test with Strasbourg. In year 1 was fight for promotion, what is crazy. They got promoted in real life to ligue 2 last year. I had 59 Manager rating , and still keep my job. In year to 2 my objective was mid table what I did. I ended up with 71 Manager Rating. My biggest grow by a player was +6 overall in 1 season. He got no training, next best was a RB with +5 overall. With selling trained goalkeeper should that be no problem with budgets either.

Okay, I'm kind of... positive right now.

I just started a career with Manchester United and simmed the first season. By finishing 9th in the league and going nowhere in the cup competitions, I completely failed a couple of my critical board expectations.

Yet, here I still am for season 2. Huh.

I'm not done testing yet, obviously, but this is a good sign I'd say.

And, I noticed that some teams have low-to-medium expectations across the board, even in the PL. Some teams, like Burney and Sunderland, have a high financial expectation but VL/L/M on the rest.
                        That's a plus too.

I don't like having to run tests every year due to not being able to turn firings off, but I'll try to stay positive.

                        edit.
I just finished season 2. I failed all objectives except financial (which was low anyway).

I was not fired. I think my manager rating even went up.

I'm confused. But uh, I'm not complaining.

                        edit 2.
                        Alright, season 3 is done.
I didn't bother to re-sign anyone and finished in 16th place.

I also failed all my objectives (I had no financial objective though).
My manager rating went from 57 to 36.

                        So yeah, guess what happened...

"We believe that you deserve another chance and would like for you to stay at Man Utd next season."

                        Of course I was fir-WHAT?!

                        edit 3.
Season 4. Finished 16th again. Failed everything (only 4 objectives again). My rating went up 3 points somehow.

                        I'm still here.

                        This has me quite excited!

                          I just noticed another thing.

If you don't like the demands, you can restart and hope to get something different. It will still be on the same level (low/medium/high etc.), but the actual goals can differ.

For instance, I started a new CM and had a look at my goals. My Youth Development goal was about selling players for a certain amount. Then I realised I had screwed up when creating my CM so I started over. Now, my goal is to sign 4 players in 4 different positions (gk, def, mid, fwd). Other goals changed as well.

Yeah, I have had a couple different experiences with the same team, Grimsby Town. I only hit the financial goal, but failed everything else and didn't get fired.

I think it's 100x's better than previous year, but the logic in some of the goals is mind numbing, lol.

I actually don't like this. As someone who likes that you get fired for not doing well or meeting exceptions, this is a bummer. If you are doing that bad with ManU and not meeting your goals, you should have been fired after that fourth season.

This is exactly why it should just be a setting option. Because if its not, its either busted for one set of players or the other.

Now that they have a "system," in place, I'd be happy with an option to decide yourself what the goals are at the beginning of the season, or just leave it alone. Make it easy or make it hard.

I feel like they add a small layer to CM, but the logic of some are just stupid. I think the bottom line for everything EA FIFA....more customization please and thank you.
