What is a fun team I'm so tired of using the English teams I was looking at Germany like 1860 Hannover and Hertha I think it was because they have a good selection of kits and a real stadium any other suggestions?

There is a Munich side in Bundesliga 2 that uses the same Alianz stadium as Bayern.

I'm looking for a team that has good skill and decent budget but someone I can build up but most important thing is to have real life stadium and sweet kits any ideas?
i remember someone saying that once per season meant once per fifa game. as in FIFA 14's year (september 13-september14) is "one season". so once you use it, you can't use it again, unless you buy another "scout future star". so if you wanted to use it again in a career mode, you would buy a different one, then open up the same career mode.

and I would say try Dortmund. I've been having a blast with them. they have a good squad already, but need some building in a few areas (some defensive positions, and a keeper who is aging but still decent. as well as striker now that Lewandowski is gone...). they have pretty distinct yellow kits, with black and white versions as alternates. plus Signal Iduna Park is a fantastic atmosphere (if not the best IRL and in game) in the world.

            updating my BVB file...

The summer window has officially closed for my second season. There were more moves than I originally intended, but I am quite satisfied with my current team. I feel there is enough depth for the most part to make it through my crazy schedule (more on that later).

            The transfer window follows thus:

            OUT:

Bonmann GK - Loan to Walsall
Leitner CM - Loan to Everton
Amini CM - Loan to Bolton
Friedrich CB - Transfer to Borussia M'gladbach (300k)
Schieber ST - Transfer to Stoke (8.5 mil)
Bandowski LB - Loan to FCZ (idk the club lol)
Gunter CB - Loan to FC Koln

            IN:

Soumaoro CB - from Lille for 9 mil
Martial ST - from AS Monaco for 6 mil
Gnabry RW - loan from Arsenal, with future buy clause for 2 mil
Criscito LB - from Zenit for 9 mil
Sahin CM - from Real Madrid for 23 mil (officially brought him back permanently)

unfortunately, Schieber left on deadline day, too late to sign anyone to be a 3rd option up front. Will probably be rotating Gnabry in occasionally with Benzema and Martial. In the January window, I will probably sign another ST with good potential and that is young.

This window leaves my squad in decent shape:

            GK

            Weidenfeller
            Langerak
            Focher

            DEF

            Soumaoro
            Sokratis
            Sarr
            Hummels
            Subotic
            Durm
            Schmelzer
            Criscito
            Hornschuh
            Piszczek
            GroBkreutz

            MID

            Mkhitaryan
            Kirch
            Kehl
            Bender
            Gundogan
            Sahin
            Reus
            Blaszczkowski
            Hofman
            Aubameyang
            Gnabry

            ST

            Benzema
            Martial
            Ducksch

this will hopefully be a good enough squad to make it to January and qualify for Champions League knockouts.

My group is Spurs, Feyenoord, and Olympique Lyon. I would assume I would qualify, possibly along with Spurs.

any suggestions of REALISTIC January targets for strikers? I need someone young, probably mid-high 70's that can rotate in with Martial and Benzema, and would also be strong enough to start in a possible 2 striker formation. It needs to be someone Dortmund would actually sign IRL (so no Balotelli haha). was thinking of trying Torres, as I could see him move, and he would be a good sub striker. Any other potential people are helpful. will update more later!

Lukaku wants away from Chelsea. He probaly wants to stay in the Prem, but being from Belguim I could see him in Germany.

Ujah from FC Koln, should be mid-high 70s. In my Koln CM he was 78(I think) at the end of the first season. He played above his rating for me in my 4-2-3-1 wide.

and depending on where Hamburger are in the league table, maybe
Pierre-Michel Lasogga, good young player with good size and strenth.

              I love my strong STs

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

I started a cm with Atletico Madrid with the goal to make the team more fit for champions league football. First I got Ilkay Gundogan from Dortmund for 28.5 million + a midfielder worth 6.5 million (blanking on his name). This took up a significant portion of my transfer budget. I also landed John Obi Mikel from Chelsea to play CDM for 8.5 million. After these transfers I had to sell a little make 1 more move I had in mind. So I sold Christian Rodriguez for roughly 10 million I believe and Tiago for 5.5 to Arsenal (this really pained me). This allowed be to land the young French LW from Sociedad, Antoine Griezmann for 20 million. I was very happy with my signings, if only we could have gotten rid of David Villa I really wasn't fond of keeping him. But now that he's hear until at least January I have a plan on how to use him. He will primarily be used in Copa del Rey and Champions League matches. After all was said and done I had like 90K in transfers and 40K in wages so my funds are dry. We will run a 4-1-3-2 with the Starting XI as: Cortois, Juanfran, Godin, Miranda, Filipe Luiz, Obi Mikel, Koke, Gondogan, Turan, Griezmann, Costa. So I feel that we are ready to go the distance in the champions league because our defense is very strong (not only starters but backups), our midfield is very strong with Gabi and Mario Suarez coming off the bench, and we have Adrian to come in at the striker position. Any feedback is apreciated!!

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

I started my CM a few weeks ago with Napoli and I just finished my first year on second place, tied in points with Juventus. I signed Jese Rodriguez, Martia, Bakkali, Sorensen, Alberto Moreno, Morata (he didn't grow his OVR like in previous Career Modes that I had) Montoya and a winger from Galatasaray which name i cant't remember. Higuain is a beast! I was eliminated on quarter finals of the Champions Cup after I beat Bayern Munich in the round of 16. I am with Korea Republic playing the WC. I've just reached the second stage. I would like to sign a new CAM, thinking about Gotze or Lamela ( I love Lamela as a CAM). I need a CDM, a winger and a GK. Thinking about Pogba or Verratti, Llajic or Shaqiri and Curtois. Can't wait for my second season. Any recommendation on a striker? I play with the formation of 4-1-2-1-2.

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

                    BREAKING NEWS!!!!!

Toni Kroos of FC Bayern has refused to extend his stay at the Allianz Arena. In what will be known as one of the transfers of the year, Kroos has opted to join BVB Dortmund in June on a free transfer!!! (he fits the rules. 84 overall) FCB have essentially repaid Dortmund for Lewandowski by letting Kroos walk across the divide in Germany. He will be unveiled officially in July.

so as you read, big news in the transfer market. snagged possibly the signing of the year (and to come). Kroos will fit into my plans and play rotating CM positions with Mkhitaryan, Gundogan, and Sahin. or he will play on the right with blazczkowski. Aubameyang doesn't appear to be fitting in well, as he can't seem to click with the team (1 goal in 18 appearances overall). He will most likely be loaned out or sold in July. Bender also requested to leave, so he MUST be sold. No one bid for him so he has fallen out of favor and has not played since January 31st. He will most likely not feature anymore unless injuries demand it.

In other news, Anthony Martial begged for more first team playing time. I gave him a go in the Champions League group stage against Feyenoord. He definitely made me consider him more as he scored 4 goals in a thrashing of 5-0.

My defensive woes have been dragging out all season so far as Hummels and Subotic take turns riding the reserves due to injury. Only have played them together for 2 matches if I remember correctly.

UPDATE (left computer up after I typed this, played for a bit and now I can finish this post haha)

                    At the 5/1 update now....

signed 4 players out of the academy, all whom have bright futures ahead of them.

Azevedo CDM - 66 showing great potential
Catarino CAM - 72 an exciting prospect
Jaissle LB - 67 an exciting prospect
Gunter GK - 61 showing great potential

There are also some rumblings in the press about Reus wanting to leave, but nothing from him officially yet. I hope he doesn't leave. He is currently my cornerstone of the team.(however, if he does, I am thinking of replacing him with Lavezzi or El Sharaawy).

I won the Bundesliga by 8 points. I am also going to play the Champions League Final against Real Madrid. Hopefully that goes well. The Deutscher Pokal was won over Bayer 04 by a score of 3-1.

                    Will update the rest tomorrow!

Usually takes me a few tries to find one that I actually stick with for multiple seasons. So many flame out. Just keep looking, one of them will stick.

I have found the best way to do a long CM is to use a lower league team or a good team from a weak league and build them into greatness using the Youth Academy and Regens.

For example, I currently have a CM with Greuther Furth (team that starts out in the 2. Bundesliga). I have turned them into power house using the Youth Academy and signing regens (usually from the Free Agent pool). It took a few seasons to get the team rolling but but now they are a 5* rated team.

I usually set rules to restrict my player purchasing (like many on the forums do). I will pick a region for my youth scouts and never deviate. For example, in this CM I am only scouting German speaking countries (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) and Scandinavia. Secondly, I only allow for 5 players on my team that aren't from those countries. So, I have 2 italian defenders, a belgian CDM, and 2 ST's that aren't German or Scandinavian. I have found that this really helps to keep the CM fresh year after year, since I am just not using all of my $ to stock my team with the same players over and over again.

I am 10 years into my CM and my team has only 2 "real" players left on it, Henriksen (a norwegian CM and probably one of the best bargain players in fifa) and Ter Stegen. The rest of my team is all youths and regens (my Shadow team).

Using this method, I have found it is very easy to play multiple CMs all the way through because the team really takes on a unique personality with all of the youths and regens. You can basically play with some of the same youth players all the way through the whole 15 seasons and build an attachment with players. Also, even buying the same regens each CM is still fresh because they regen with different stats each time. For example, I had 2 CMs in fifa13 where I bought Ibra's regen. One time he came back as a 5'7" speedster with 5* weak foot and 5* skills and next time he came back as a 6'3" brute with 2* weak foot and 2* skills. So, even the same regen was unique both times.

Hope this helps and sorry for the long post.

I 2nd the use of the YA to build up a lower level team. One other side affect I've noticed which helped keep it interesting is I have now switched formations a few times based on a few exceptional players I have picked up. If I were shopping the GTN, I would just be looking for a player to fit the role I needed to upgrade. With the YA there is much more random in the position and skillset that you find. Now I find myself saying man - I have an extra X but am weak at Y - what formation works to get the best 11 on the field. This has made it fun and also helped make me a better player.

Started off with Aston Villa played there 1 season (10 games in the 2nd season) I finished i 8th place and in the start og the 2nd season i wan on top of the league. Chelsea then came and offered me a 35k per week deal. I said YES. When i came there Chelsea where on 12th place xD And now i'm on 6-7 place. Didn't progress to the 1/8 finals in Champions Cup. So now i'm play euro League and won my first 1/8 game vs Twente 6-1 away. Players like Piazon, Van Ginkel, Oscar and Hazard is AMAZING talents! Oscar is 85 and Hazard is 86 but Piazon is 80 and 20 years of age Now i'm 25 games in the league and are playing decent winning some important games.
