I am also playing with updated squads and have placed Fleetwood town in the Barclays PL and swapped in Bor. Dortmund, FCB, FCB, Inter, Juventus, PSG, and Real Madrid. I left Aston Villa, Chelsea, Everton, Crystal Palace, Liverpool, Man U, Man City, Newcastle, Spurs, Swansea, West Brom, ad West Ham. I am thinking about bringing in these guys over the next couple of years (listed by last name and position): Gonzalez GK, Matri CB, Tah CB, Ronan LB, Bellerin RB, Murphy LM, Murphy RM, Dæhli RW, Jennings LW, Nørgaard CM, and Harvey/Martial,Schrijvers ST.

I am thinking that they are low enough starting overall's that I should be able to buy them fairly cheap over the first two or three years and improve them to their potentials. Also should I look into free agents, and if so which do you advise I buy?

Sorry for the long post guys! And thank you in advance for taking the time to read it and respond.

PS. I am playing on professional difficulty with 6 minute halves. And I know that I wont be winning the league for at least 3-4 years but at least it will be a challenge. Additionally, I did the european championships and got seeded in the Champions league with Stoke City, Fulham, and Galatasaray SK.

I believe that somewhere it says that even though you may win the league, obtaining it through playoff contention might not be enough to satisfy the requirement. so while you technically won the league, you still have to finish in first place to achieve the objective. It seems as though that objective was programmed for leagues that don't have a playoff, like the EPL (majority of leagues are like this), so it just carries over to every league. might be wrong though.

You're correct, they want me to win the regular season title. Kinda sucks because I can't seem to do better than a 2nd or 3rd place finish in this game, no matter what team or league I'm playing.

Oh well, still having fun.

hmmm tough question. South American league structures are fun, offering 2 round robbins where the top 8 make playoffs. So you get two seasons, 2 chances to make playoffs and win a playoff. Also make the South American champions league.

^ I haven't tried any South American league yet. Only Mexican league, and if I remember correctly, you can make it to the SACL with a team from Mexico, right? But I like BPL and Serie A the most. I have always been huge fan of those leagues, and always watch a lot of their games.

Currently doing a Genoa career. Gilardino is deadly from anywhere in the penalty area. Lead Serie A in goals 3 years in a row with 20+ goals. My finish in the league have been 7th, 6th and 3rd. In my 4th year now, currently in 6th place. Board wants me to qualify for Champions League. So that means a 3rd place finish again. Gillardino retires after this season, so I need to find a replacement. I have a 18 yo CF from Portugal with a 75 overall (from my youth team). Right now he is a sub and has scored 11 goals. I hope he can fill Gilardinos shoes next season.

Most of my good midfielders demanded to be transfered, luckily I had a lot of good youth academy players who are more than capable as starters.

Difficulty: Goniras Sliders, Legendary, 15 Min Halves, All Manual, NO SIMMING
Objective: Make A Run For The Playoffs (Top 8 In Apertura and Cluasura)

Wanted to restart once I realized I had been playing with Gonira's sliders on normal speed because I didnt wanna mess up my pace for online play, but I dont play online so i feltnit was best to restart on slow speed. The game plays way better now! Less shots, better defense.

Here is a quick backdrop. Added 18 teams from MLS to Chile League, dropped Chivas & San Jose, added Orlando City.

Added the top Chili teams into the Columbian league, replacing lower level sides.

Wanted to Create the best set up for the South American Champions Cup.
3 teams from MLS, 3 from Columbia, 4 from Brasil, 4 from Argentina, 2 from Mexico.

I've given up on Inter. Too much of the Italian league is unlicensed, which I absolutely can't get into. Furthermore, I don't see any interest or challenge in it. Winning the league too soon does that to me unless I'm doing a Chelsea domination career, which I haven't done in FIFA 14 so far. The furthest I got was the Cardiff game in the first season before giving up in frustration (I hit a bad patch).

My next career will be with Chelsea, buying a ton of superstars and just having fun; or rebuilding Wolves; or with a German/Spanish club seeking to eventually topple the imbalance in those leagues (stop Bayern/Real and Barcelona). All three are much better projects than my ill-fated attempt in Italy. What do you guys think? I'm leaning towards Chelsea or Wolves myself.

Oh, i see, when you go undefeated in Serie A with Inter, which would neverrrrr happen in real life, at least not this year, I'd get bored to. What difficulty do you play? lmao amateur? thats probably your problem, because on a harder difficulty Serie A is easily one of the most competitive leagues.

Your difficulty is your problem, not inter, not Serie A.... Who wants to play anything where you never lose a match? specially in a "rebuilding" CM like Inter. lol Thats fun.

Decided to start a career mode with Cardiff City. Full Manual using Gonira's sliders on legendary. Boy was is a struggle. Could not score goals the first half of the season. Messed around with the formations and stuck with a 4411(CAM). Frazier Campbell and Cornelius were not getting it done for me and i turned the first transfer window off for the realism and difficulty. Going into the winter window i was hovering between 18-20 on the table. with only £4 million. Bought Phillip Hosiner from FK Austra and Valon Berisha from Salzburg. Starting XI after the window looked like this, mananged to begin to turn things around quickly since between 20th and 12 there was only an 8 point gap. Until Berisha got hurt in his third game. Out 2 months. I bought Berisha because i don't rate Mutch too much. Awkward player for me. however, as i got used to playing manual I managed to finish the season in 12th place much in part to the brilliance of berisha when he returned. 4 goals 5 assists in only 8 starts. Kim also became my top scorer the second half of my first season with 8 goals. Player of the season? I would say 1. Gary Medel 2. Bo Kyung Kim 3. Magnus Eikrem. Started season 2 just did all my transfers leading up to the first game.

Alright. Start of season 2. FINALLY! now i can really make some big changes to cardiff after finishing 12th place. I was in the 3 relegation zone all season though so it was a great turn around. Firstly i promoted my youth RM since he was already 17 and threatening to leave. 67 overall RM/LM/CM High/High with a potential between 82-86. Next I needed a GK after conceding way too many goals. Marshall 29 years old and 76 ovr was swapped on a free with fraser forster. who comes from forster at 79 ovr and only 26. Next i sent nugent and healey on loan to get some playing time. I sold Odemwingie and wittingham thus far. made about £1 million on them. the board gave me an extra 2 million along with the 8 million to start the season. £11 million in transfer budget was perfect for who i was looking for. I tend to sign cheap high ovr players to save money and flip them for profit.

Getting back on point, how about Aston Villa as a rebuild project? Or Rangers in Scotland, even though the SPL is not the most competitive league in the world. Or the team I'm going to try when the updated rosters are availiable, Lyon. Not a bad team, in a pretty good league with PSG, Monaco, and Marsailles to deal with.
