Keano you've been set up to advance past the group stage as you should be able to get 6 points of Venezuela/Bolivia. Hell of a draw! If you can get some nice GD against them and then at least work out a draw against Argentina you may just sneak first place. You could had been Peru, think about it.

if you were running 2 CM's at the same time would it bother you to have the same player(s) in both? (granted, one is about 3 years ahead of the other)vrabbit

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Thanks to everyone who voted. It means a lot to have so many people involved in this save. I am really excited about this save and I feel it could be a good one... if I get the job of course!
1860 Munich Career Mode
Meeting between Mr. OJ and chairman, Gerhard Mayrhofer
Mayrhofer - Welcome to our club Mr. OJ, after hearing so much about you it is a pleasure to finally meet you face to face.
Mr. OJ - The feeling is mutual. I am excited to be here and put forward my vision for the club.
Mayrhofer - Let's get to business then. You've never managed a club before or in fact worked in football management. Why do you think I should overlook this.
Mr. OJ - I'm a young guy, obviously, and I have simply not been in management for a particularly long time. It's been something I have aspired to do and I feel this could be the job for me.
Mayrhofer - The Director of Football has told me that your are in the running for a number of jobs at the moment including FC København, Bristol City, Bolton and Red Bull Leipzig, a rival team of course. Could you explain to me why this is the case.
Mr. OJ - I am merely considering my options. Leipzig and København both enquired into my availability whilst Bristol are a boyhood club of mine and the oppurtunity was too difficult to at least not apply for. However if I feel this club suits me and my needs, I will decline to talk to the other clubs.
Mayrhofer - You may be aware of our rivalry with arguably the largest German side, Bayern. How do you plan on coping with this/
Mr. OJ - Bayern are a great team and realistically at the moment we cannot expect to challenge them. However I have a vision for this club and where I see it going. I really do feel that within a few years, we will at least be able to challenge them.
Mayrhofer - If hired, we would expect you to fight for promotion. Do you feel you could do this?
Mr. OJ - Yes. I do. I back my managerial ability and I feel I could meet that expectation. Additionally I would love to do well in the cup, however the league is my main ambition. I feel with the right signings and good performances from the players we currently have, that should be easily reachable.
Mayrhofer - Finally, I wish you to tell me why I should choose you over the other candidates and hat your vision is for this club.
Mr. OJ - I wish for this club to be self-sufficient. Reliant on our own youth academy, our own training facilities and less dependent on signings from outside. In the first few years at this club I will of course need players from outside but after this period I want the beating heart of this club to be young players from our own academy.
You should pick me over other candidates because I am the best option. I speak the language unlike some, I have played at a high level unlike some and I have an innate and strong understanding of how the game works and what it takes to be successful. Of course other managers may have more experience but I am hungry to learn and for success. Thank you very much for your time sir and I hope you choose me for your job.
Mayrhofer - I have thoroughly enjoyed this interview and we will be contacting you shortly.
The way this save will be written will be in a variety of ways depending on the time I have. If I have loads of time there will be press conferences, meetings, media articles and some more stuff I have planned. If I have slightly less time then I will write it with the main element being match reports. Hopefully you enjoyed the post and I look forward to seeing the responseLast edited by TauterHat; 12-04-2014, 05:20 PM.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
AD Alcorcon - '19-'20 Season
Roster Review
(* Denotes players graduated from the youth academy)
Starters
GK - Sven Ulreich (82 OVR), 7.5/10: It's difficult to believe the keeper voted to the league's starting XI doesn't get a higher grade but that's really how I felt about 31-year old from Germany, and he only gets the extra .5 due to the league honors. Just not enough clean sheets for my liking and that can't be put on the defense which was solid. His ratings are pretty good with no regression so it's really had to explain what's going on with him. I tried and failed to land a new GK last winter so don't be shocked if there's movement on that end this upcoming season. 21 clean sheets. 63 apps.
RB - In Sung Jo (74 OVR)*, 8/10: The 18-year old from South Korea is a stud, so it was scary that at the end of the season after he asked for a raise he expressed doubts about his long-term future at the club. Luckily he just recently got over that and has agreed to remain at the club. Speedy and aggressive, he's basically everything that I want on a full back (though I wish he was taller than 5'8"). He's only going to get better too. An Exciting Prospect. 2 goals and 5 assists. 42 apps.
RCB - Jherson Vergara (81 OVR), 7.5/10: The 26-year old from Colombia was much better for us this season after failing to adapt quickly last season following this transfer to us in the winter. Very good defender who is a pest in the air game. I'm very happy with him at this point. 1 goal. 49 apps.
LCB - Rafael Soares Martins (80 OVR), 7.5/10: The 24-year old from Portugal failed to make the league's starting XI for the first time since the team joined La Liga but he was still a key player for our back four. 2 goals. 49 apps.
LB - Nicola Lancini (75 OVR), 7.5/10: The 26-year old Italian had a successful first season at the club on both sides of the ball proving to be an upgrade over Adama Traore. He puts a lot of pressure on opposing defenses with his speed on the outside. 6 assists. 49 apps.
CDM - Andre Hoffmann (79 OVR), 7/10: We can't really complain about what the 27-year old German gave us at the back of the midfield this season but we definitely want more out of this position which we're just not getting with him. We will probably be looking to upgrade this position for a third consecutive year after also moving on from Tomas Rincon last summer and Michael Essien the summer before. 1 goal and 4 assists. 50 apps.
RM - Badile Salawu (78 OVR)*, 7/10: The 19-year old Nigerian academy-product did not really take that next step this season, and really had a better second half of the season once he was moved from to RM from LM. Still, he has tons of talent and he'll definitely continue to get opportunities to improve and show the world what he's capable of. An Exciting Prospect. 1 goal and 4 assists. 48 apps.
LM - Jose Miguel (78 OVR)*, 7/10: The 22-year old Argentinian finally cracked the starting XI midway through this season when he briefly replaced Salawu at this position before Yamura's exit returned the Nigerian to the starting lineup. Miguel has a special bond with the coach in that he was part of the very first group of prospects brought up through the academy, being promoted right away in the spring of 2015 as the team needed more players. As the team was able to improve its roster Miguel found himself more and more relegated to the bench and loan spells, but he worked hard and tirelessly and is now a starter for us. We look forward to seeing what he can do with a full season as a starter after he showed some nice flashes this season with some clutch goals. 4 goals and 5 assists. 48 apps.
CAM - Angel Correa (85 OVR), 8/10: The 25-year old from Argentina has finally arrived for us, serving justice to the #10 on his back. He's a STAR. His combination of technique, speed, and savviness is a nightmare for opposing defenses and we are excited about him continuing to be the brains of our attack. 16 goals (5 in CL) and 11 assists. 50 apps.
RS - Alessandro Farago (79 OVR)*, 7.5/10: Third straight season with 11 goals for thie now 20-year old academy product from Italy who showed us towards the end of the season that he's ready to become the final piece of the puzzle in our attack. Small but shifty, this kid is only going to continue to get better and should have a breakout season maybe as soon as next season. Has Potential To Be Special. 11 goals and 5 assists. 42 apps.
LS - Nicolas Lopez (84 OVR), 9/10: We do not do the things we did this season if Nico Lopez doesn't come in the winter transfer window and takes us to the next level. That's a fact. We were struggling to hang on to 7th place at the time and had barely gotten past the group stage of the Champions. He came in and scored 14 goals in 19 games for us, finishing as the club's leading scorer even though he was only around for half the season. That puts him on pace for 30 goals in a full season, which is what we expect from him next season. More importantly, A LOT of his goals came during clutch moments AND his presence helped Correa develop into a star as well. MVP. Has That Special Something. 14 goals and 6 assists. 19 apps.
Subs
CDM - Roberto Damian (72 OVR), 7/10: Something to love about this 23-year old from Venezuela is that he understands his role and plays it without issue. He's the backup CDM. Solid and unspectacular but he rarely has a bad game so we are very pleased with him. 1 goal. 42 apps.
CAM - Juan Morientes (76 OVR)*, 7/10: The 19-year old future star from Spain took a big step this season towards being one of the main contributors for our team, becoming a frequent sub for us and a mainstay for the B team. He mostly plays at RM. Has Potential To Be Special. 4 goals and 1 assist. 30 apps.
CF - Maximilian Knoll (75 OVR)*, 7/10: The 20-year old from Germany continues to make his case for more playing time and was recently signed to a contract extension that saw his wages go from $500 to $40K. Not bad huh? Even though he's only 5'10" he is lethal in the air game and with Salomon Rondon now retired he becomes our #1 striker off the bench so he will definitely get more playing time, plus if there's something Farago is lacking right now is the stamina to play full 90-minute games and games on short-rest. Has Potential To Be Special. 7 goals and 4 assists. 25 apps.
LB - Euller (71 OVR), 6/10: Similar to Damian the 25-year old Brazilian understands his role as the backup LB and performs it well. Nothing flashy but nothing horrendous. Just gets the job done and is an integral part of the B team. 22 apps.
CM - Dani Barrera (75 OVR)*, 7/10: The minituare 20-year old from Argentina continues to get better and better. He had not gotten much action with the club the past few seasons but his high potential continued to develop whether in practice or out on loan and this season he became a mainstay on the B team as well a regular candidate as a sub. He can play both CDM and CAM. Has Potential To Be Special. 6 goals and 3 assists. 19 apps.
RB - Vladimir Rankovic (70 OVR), 7/10: The 27-year old from Germany closed out the season on amazing form, making up for some poor games earlier in the season. He is a useful player on offense but more of a liability on defense and we may be looking for a replacement this summer. 8 assists. 19 apps.
RW - Serge Gnabry (76 OVR), 7/10: This fan-favorite at Arsenal joined the club at the end of the winter transfer window and although he didn't unseat Salawu at RM he was one of our main subs by season's end. You can't teach speed and the 24-year old from Germany can play on either wing. 2 goals and 3 assists. 15 apps.
LB - Lansana Afrani (71 OVR)*, 6/10: He's actually used as a LCB and he has that spot on lock down with the B team. The 17-year old from Cameroon is steadily getting better and has a bright future ahead. If he continues to develop well he may make one of our more expensive CB's expendable. Has Potential To Be Special. 14 apps.
CAM - Bart Gorter (71 OVR)*, 6/10: The 17-year old from the Netherlands had a decent first season with the senior team, showing moderate improvement. His immediate goal is to contend for a starting spot with the B team and he may be a loan candidate. Has Potential To Be Special. 13 apps.
ST - Chuba Akpom (70 OVR), 6/10: This will be the last season with the club for the 24-year old from England as he's unhappy with his lack of playing time at the club. With Knoll and Rondon occupying the backup striker positions Akpom just was not needed that much. To make matters worse he requested a raise, surely looking to be transfer listed as he had to know we were unlikely go raise the wages of a player that we barely use. He's been transfer listed. 2 goals. 12 apps.
Reserves (players who didn't play much this season, or return from loan, or have been recently promoted from the youth squad)
GK - Carlos Alberto* (67 OVR, Showing Great Potential), GK - Alex Navas* (64 OVR), CB - Franco Flores (74 OVR), CB - Javier Marquez* (66 OVR, Showing Great Potential), CB - Markus Goretzka* (63 OVR, An Exciting Prospect), CDM - Patrick Sobiech* (68 OVR, Showing Great Potential), CDM - Adam Lee* (63 OVR, Showing Great Potential), CM - Jose Vidal* (71 OVR, An Exciting Prospect), CM - Damian Silva* (66 OVR, An Exciting Prospect), LM - Hallam Campbell* (63 OVR, Has Potential To Be Special), Juan Nunez* (62 OVR, Showing Great Potential), LW - Joy Hoesen* (59 OVR), LW - Jomar Mayat* (59 OVR), ST - Hiroya Imada* (68 OVR, An Exciting Prospect).
Finally, let's check out what the academy looks like at season's end.
- Victor Jimenez (CM, 66-70, 86-92): 16-year old from Spain described as an attacker. He saw significant improvement in the academy this season but we're currently talking to him about staying in the academy for another season in order to give himself a better chance to be an impact player for us right away. A special talent.
- Victor Velazquez (CAM, 62-66, 83-89): Spanish prospect recently turned 16 and who reminds us of a young Leandro Paredes or Angel Correa. We want to keep him in the academy for another season.
- Johnny Wilson (CF, 54-58, 74-80):16-year old from England who will scouts compare to Farago.
- Julio Gutierrez (LW, 53-57, 73-79): 16-year old from Spain who brings some speed to the pitch. He's settled at LW which is a great fit for him but he showed very little improvement in the academy this season.
- Victor Jimenez (CM, 58-62, 74-80): 17-year old from Venezuela who is a defensive-minded midfielder. He needs to remain in the academy for now but we're not sure he'll want to stay in it for another full season given his age.
- Francisco Miguel (CF, 51-55, 71-75): Kid from Spain who just turned 16. Described as technically gifted but needs to remain in the academy for at least one more season.
- Damon Elliot (CF, 51-55, 70-74): 16-year old from England who projects as a speedy attacker. His best shot at being a long-term consideration for us is to stay in the academy for one more season.
* Denotes recent addition to the academy.
On one last note I just want to point out that after writing this review I've realized that I've accomplished one more goal at this club, which is to create a bad *** academy/youth core. A significant number of academy graduates have become key members of our team, others have moved on to other teams and brought us excellent profit, most notably Zeshin Yamura being sold for $32 million. My reserves are mostly composed of high-potential youngsters that other teams constantly come to loan and some like Vidal and Sobiech may even find themselves as part of the B-team rotation next season. I'm very proud of this accomplishment and hope to keep it up.
On one final piece of news, Barcelona's manager won manager of the year (of course, since they won the local double) for the second consecutive season and Valencia's Paulo Dybala won player of the year for the second consecutive season as well (I almost went after him this past winter before I found Nico Lopez).
Next season is going to be FUN!vrabbit

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Yeah I do know that. Hence having him in your Dagenham academy would be quite funny but also possible. The game recycles players so it is very, very unlikely, but possible, that one of us could get Yamura. Obviously not the same guy, but the same nameComment

Wycombe Wanderers
FIFA 14
Season 2
2014/15
Spoiler
April 2015
Chris Russell in the Youth Academy wanted out so I decided to take a chance on the 18 y/o. He came out as a LB/RB with 53 OVR and his potential is 71-75. To be honest I think he is more suited to being a CB as his Sprint Speed and Acceleration are terrible. He is 6'3" though and his Aggression, Interceptions, Marking and Standing Tackle are all in the 60's and his Strength and Sliding Tackle are in the high 50's. We will try to get him out on loan in the next window.
Match 41
Swindon Town 0-1 Wycombe
Kretzschmar 75'
Man of the Match: Louis Laing
Match 42
Wycombe 3-0 Plymouth Argyle
Kretzschmar 4'
Sarmov 7'
Plano 52'
Man of the Match: Sam Wood
Recap:
We started off brilliantly when an attack in the 4th minute saw Wood cross it for Kretzschmar to head down into the net. Sarmov added another 3 minutes later when he tackled the CB and powered through to finish with his left foot. Chances followed from Plano and McCoy before on 43 minutes Plymouth had a great chance to pull one back but it was put wide. We came out all guns blazing in the 2nd half and 7 minutes in Plano extended our lead to 3 when Wood assisted his second and slid him through to finesse finish it past the out coming keeper. Late on Morias missed a header from a Scowen corner with it going just wide.
Wycombe Wanderers have been named the Football League 1 Champions for the 2014/15 season. We achieved our 2nd League Title in succession with 4 games to go.

How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
January 2020 - Season 7
FIFA 14 (PS3)
Transfer Window
Transfers In
John Ruddy - England (78 OVR GK)
Purchased for $2.4m from West Bromwich Albion
**Signed after match against Arsenal
33 year old goalkeeper John Ruddy is the first Wimbledon signing of 2020. The Iceman had only 6 months left on his contract with West Bromwich Albion but Chavez wanted to bring in this player as soon as possible. Ruddy had originally been signed by West Bromwich Albion from Norwich City as a signal of intent by the then West Brom manager Indiblue who planned to take the Baggies to the top of English football. Indiblue eventually left West Brom for personal reasons, but his successor at the club didn't share the same ambitions and didn't strengthen the squad. Under new management, West Brom were relegated from the Premier League and haven't qualified to the promotion playoffs since. The Baggies are now in the FL Championship and they are in 12th place in the league. We were able to speak with Chavez this evening regarding the new Wimbledon signing:
"Ruddy is an incredible shot stopper and we plan to take him back to the England national team. We firmly believe he deserves to play with the us, the defending champions, and he brings experience to the table. The fact of the matter is that ever since we lost Worner our youth goalkeepers haven't had anyone to look up to or talk to when they are in a tough spot. Our goalkeepers aren't even 21 yet and they've had to learn on their own. Ruddy is a natural leader, very vocal and strong in the box. He will not only improve our defensive stats on the field, but he will also help in the development of our youth keepers." - Chavez, Wimbledon manager.
John Ruddy has signed a one year contract with AFC Wimbledon with a $45k weekly wage, and will wear the #13 jersey. West Brom seemed happy to sell 33 year old Ruddy as opposed to letting him go for free, but they set one condition: Ruddy will not be able to play for Wimbledon in the Capital One Cup semifinal fixture between Wimbledon and West Brom, as the fixture was announced before the transfer was made.
Adam Morgan - England (76 OVR ST)
Purchased for $8.5m from Stoke City
**Signed after match against Portsmouth
When AFC Wimbledon signed James Tarkowski from League 1 club Brentford and Chavez released a statement saying that there were plenty of players in the lower leagues worthy of Premier League football, Stoke City were the first to jump on the wagon and they signed Adam Morgan from League 1 club Yeovil Town. Stoke were expecting Morgan to play a key part in their squad like Tarkowski did at Wimbledon, but the ex-Liverpool player wasn't able to break through the ranks that season and has only made 1 appearance for Stoke this season, which prompted AFC Wimbledon to initially send a loan offer for the player. Stoke formally rejected the loan offer, and also rejected loan offers with high future fees from Wimbledon. Eventually, Wimbledon sent in an offer to obtain the player permanently for a fee of approximately $1,500,000 higher than the player's value. Stoke immediately accepted the offer with plans to invest the money in other positions. A few words from Adam Morgan himself:
"It was an opportunity I couldn't pass. Things at Wimbledon are very organized, you start with the reserves, you move up to the B team and from there you push to get into the first team. I really like that they give you a chance to show yourself pretty frequently along with 10 others that also want to show themselves on the field. Things weren't too good for me at Stoke so I won't take this opportunity lightly."
Transfers Out
*Ryan Yeoman - England (66 OVR RM)
Loaned to Crewe Alexandria
*Christophe Brown - Scotland (69 OVR GK)
Loaned to Birmingham City
Top 3 BPL Transfers
1. Lamela - Inter Milan ---> Manchester United for $21.5m
2. Redmond - Norwich City ---> Tottenham for $16m
Zoet - Deportivo ---> Manchester United for $16m
3. De Gea - Manchester United ---> Atletico Madrid for $15m
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
AFC Wimbledon 3 - 1 Arsenal
WIM: Ruiz 51' Thompson 66' James 90'
ARS: Ozil 69'
Wimbledon start the month on the right foot with a solid win over an Arsenal that typically complicates things for Wimbledon but this season they haven't been on their best form. Youth academy graduates Ruiz and Thompson scored the first two goals and the leading league top scorer Luke James finished them off with the third. Mezut Ozil has a knack for always getting a goal against Wimbledon and he did so again, but his goal didn't mean much as his teammates weren't able to follow through.
West Ham United 0 - 3 AFC Wimbledon
WIM: Paterson 36' Murphy 39' James 70'
West Ham United defeated Wimbledon earlier in the season, but now midway through the season Wimbledon hammered the Hammers with a big 3-0 win. West Ham have one of the best goalkeepers this season Adrian, but without support from his backline there wasn't much Adrian could do.
FA Cup - Round 3
AFC Wimbledon 1 - 0 Portsmouth
WIM: James 83'
Wimbledon won the match, but Portsmouth put up a hell of a fight almost forcing the fixture to a replay. This wasn't the Wimbledon B team either this was the first team. Thats right, the same players that walked over Arsenal and West Ham were put to work by a team from a lower league. In the end Luke James was able to score the only goal of the match, but we were beginning to think Portsmouth were actually gonna hold the 0-0 draw and force a replay at their home ground.
Capital One Cup - Quarter Final
AFC Wimbledon 2 - 1 West Bromwich Albion
WBA: Berahino 15'
WIM: Harvey 28' 65'
Once again the Wimbledon B team strikers struggled to find the net and Tyler Harvey had to come to the rescue. Chavez returned to the 4-4-2 Diamond Wide with Max Clayton and the new signing Adam Morgan up front. The style of play went back to being very fast paced but the strikers weren't able to finish and West Brom frequently found spaces on the counter. Wimbledon usually outplay the Baggies but always struggle to get past the goalkeeper Ruddy. Now without Ruddy in the squad having recently signed with Wimbledon, the West Brom players knew they couldn't rely on their defense anymore and they came out to attack. Wimbledon were just barely able to win, but there's still 90 minutes left to play and West Brom no longer seem like the underdogs. John Ruddy did not appear for Wimbledon even on the bench due to the clause in his contract.
Norwich City 0 - 4 AFC Wimbledon
WIM: Thompson 24' Odhlambo 34' Paterson 71' Yeoman 77'
John Ruddy made his return debut in the Premier League against the club where he had the most success at: Norwich City. With Ruddy on the field Wimbledon showed much improvement. Of course they played heavy in attack as usual, but they were far more solid in defense and actually kept a clean sheet. Youth graduate Ryan Yeoman scored his first official goal with Wimbledon which led to Crewe Alexandria to put in a loan offer for him.
Tottenham 1 - 1 AFC Wimbledon
TOT: Martial 24'
WIM: Thompson 85'
Tottenham learned from their mistakes the last time they faced Wimbledon and they played extremely well tonight. The Spurs defense was able to neutralize Luke James and Michael Thompson until the final 5 minutes when Thompson was able to get a ball past Lloris. It seemed as if Tottenham studied Wimbledon's attack and knew where to be to intercept the ball each time. This match was also the first match in which John Ruddy received a goal having kept a clean sheet against Portsmouth and Norwich.
Capital One Cup - Quarter Final
West Bromwich Albion 1(2) - 4(6) AFC Wimbledon
WIM: R. Mannus 16' Eaves 26' 50' May 90'
WBA: Dawson 39'
The defending COC champions AFC Wimbledon are headed to Wembley to try and win two back to back Capital One Cups! This match was nothing like the first leg. Chavez made a few changes, the biggest being the return of Tom Eaves to the B team lineup. The formation was changed to a 4-2-3-1 Wide with Eaves leading the attack, and he excelled as the lone striker getting himself a brace. Ruaidhri Mannus took the defensive midfield role with Tyler Harvey, and Diego Ortiz was moved from wide midfielder to center attacking midfielder. The youth graduate has incredible skills on the ball but he has extremely poor pace and stamina. He's been linked with a loan move away from the club, despite being one of the best players in the squad on paper, but he looked really good in this new role so he may have just earned himself another opportunity.
Notable Youth Academy Players
* = New Addition
SpoilerBen McGovern - CDM (63-67, 88-94): Only 16 years old, the Northern Irish midfielder looks very promising. Ideally the club wants him to stay in the academy for one more year. Hopefully he doesn't demand a call up anytime soon.
Chris McGinn - CDM (66-70, 87-93): The 17 year old from Northern Ireland has finally chosen CDM as his position of choice. He's considered to be physically strong, but may not be promoted until next year.
*Jacob Sercombe - ? (46-60, 77-94): The 15 year old from England has recently joined the academy and has yet to choose a set position. Judging from what we've seen on the pitch, he has the characteristics of a CB.
Kyle Clarkson - LW (59-63, 80-86): Recently added to the academy so still being analyzed. The English winger is only 5'8" at age 15.
Mal Osborn - RB (58-62, 80-86): One of the only fullbacks in the U-17 that isn't defensive minded. The English winger is only 15 years old and can't be registered with the senior team until next season, but he's already one of the fastest players in the academy.
Sean Archer - CDM (65-69, 85-91): The 17 year old from Scotland is an incredible playmaker who prefers to stay in the defensive half and analyze the game from there. He's one of the most exciting players in the U-17 but he will not be registered with the senior squad until next season.
*Sebastian Torres - LW/ST (45-59, 76-94): The 16 year old from Mexico has recently joined the academy. We're hoping he decides to play as a striker due to his height of 6'2".
Steven Ross - CDM (63-67, 80-86): Defensive minded midfielder from Scotland. Recently turned 16 but won't be considered for promotion until next season.
Todd Zebroski - CDM (62-66, 80-86): 16 year old playmaker from England. Definitely one to keep an eye on but can't be promoted until next season.
Tyrone Kedwell - CM (56-60, 77-83): I'm not gonna lie I signed him immediately because of his last name - Kedwell. Could he become a club legend like Danny Kedwell? I sure hope he can live up to the name.
Headlines
Eaves is Back!
This season has been tough on Wimbledon striker Tom Eaves and this transfer window was full of stories linking him with a move away from Wimbledon. It is confirmed that Hannover, Werder Bremen, and Granada sent a transfer offer to Wimbledon for Eaves. However, Chavez refused to let him go stating that Eaves has given Wimbledon a lot, contributing to last season's title with goals and never complaining about anything. Chavez still brought in Adam Morgan though, making us believe Morgan would be replacing Eaves. Fortunately we were wrong and Chavez's plan worked. With another striker ready to take his job Eaves got up and took a stand to prove that he has what it takes to be a Womble. After almost 2 months without scoring a goal Eaves scored a brace and played an exceptional match against West Brom. Eaves is now playing alone up front and Clayton has been moved to right midfielder where he can show off his speed. The future is finally beginning to look bright for the English giant.
Ruddy Shows He's Still Got It
33-year old goalkeeper John Ruddy has shown he still has the reflexes and leadership to play at the top level, and so far has 3 clean sheets in 4 appearances with AFC Wimbledon. 20-year old goalkeeper Adam Cowie has been demoted to the B team, but there's no doubt Wimbledon just want to sharpen him up a little bit more. Cowie has exceptional diving skills and his positioning is always spot on, but his reflexes are lacking and his handling could also use some work. Ruddy is nearing the end of his career, and Cowie will be ready when Ruddy decides to step down.
Champions League R16 and Capital One Cup Final
As it was announced last month, Wimbledon will be facing FC Porto in the Champions League Round of 16. Wimbledon were eliminated from the quarter finals last year at the hands of Porto and now have a chance to avenge themselves, but Porto are beginning to look like the favorites to go through. Last year Wimbledon weren't able to defeat the Portuguese and were only eliminated by Away Goals rule, but Porto still looked much better on the field and were in control of the match. In more domestic news, Wimbledon has advanced to the Capital One Cup Final where they will face Tottenham Hotspur, who eliminated Arsenal in the semifinals. This match is also expected to be very tight, as Wimbledon were barely able to escape with a draw the last time they met.
That's all for this month. Expect the next update soon as I just need to type it.
