Exeter City F.C.
FIFA 15 - Season 2
The Grecians
April
Blackburn Rovers 2 - Exeter City 4
BLB - Best 43', 68'
EXE - Wilson 12' (Pen), 48', McClure 57', Jamieson 65'
After McClure was taken down from behind in the box, Wilson converted from the penalty spot for the opening goal. Best then finished a rebound off a save from the keeper to equalize just before half. Wilson then received the ball from van Nieff and found the gap in the defense for the easy finish on the near post. Wilson picked out McClure on a run to the left post and McClure finished it with a strong left footed strike to the near post. Jamieson then went on a big run and was played through by van Nieff before finishing with a low shot to the right side of the goal. Best won a scrap for the ball and was able to knock it past the keeper to complete his brace for the match.
Charlton Athletic 1 - Exeter City 4
CHA - Jackson 15'
EXE - Jamieson IV 51', Ginnelly 58', Fox 64' (OG), Dean 90'
Fox hit a great strike from just outside the box that settled just inside the top left corner. Wilson found Jamieson on a run down the right side of the box and he finished past the keeper easily to equalize. Hesketh played a ball ahead to Wilson who then chipped it over the defender to Ginnely for the volleyed finish. Fox deflected a shot into his own goal to give Exeter an even larger lead. Fryers chipped a nice ball over the top that Wilson then played over to Dean for the easy finish in the final minute.
Exeter City 1 - Bristol City 2
EXE - Grimes 23'
BRC - Emmanuel-Thomas 13' (Pen), 77' (Pen)
Emmanuel-Thomas opened with a penalty that sent the keeper right and the ball left. Wilson was able to find Grimes down the right side of the goal for the near post finish to bring Exeter back even. In the end Bristol was awarded another penalty which was finished by Emmanuel-Thomas to the right side of the goal.
Nottingham Forest 0 - Exeter City 4
EXE - Jamieson IV 8', 15', 31', Ginnelly 76'
Wilson laid the ball off for Jamieson to run onto and take a touch before firing it past the keeper. Not long after Wilson found Jamieson again up the middle for the first time strike to the left corner of the goal. Jamieson broke free down the right wing after receiving a pass from Wilson and beat his defender before firing a low shot that beat the keeper to the far post to complete a hat-trick. Wilson attacked down the right wing and chipped a cross in that found Ginnelly's head to push the lead to four goals.
F.A. Cup Semi-Final
Exeter City 1 - Norwich City 0
EXE - Wilson 40'
Wilson scored the only goal of the match after receiving a pass from Fryers before touching it out right and placing it past the keeper on the near post. Even though Norwich won the possession battle 60/40, McEleney was outstanding in goal for Exeter making 9 saves and earning MOTM honors.
Exeter City 3 - Brighton
EXE - Ginnelly 3', 12', MacDonald 60' (Pen)
Ginnelly tracked down a ball played over the top and held off a defender before finishing to the near post. Dean sent in a cross to the box that found Ginnelly's head and settled just inside the right post to double the lead. MacDonald drew a foul inside the box and then stepped up to the spot to calmly convert the penalty for the final goal of the match.
Exeter City 5 - Sheffield Wednesday 3
EXE - Wilson 13' (Pen), 55', 81' (Pen), McClure 31', Adelakun 90'
SHW - Maguire 29', Betra 45', McCabe 90'
Wilson converted from the penalty spot in the 13th minute to open the scoring. Maguire was able to stretch out and tap home a ball that was flicked on off a cross to equalize. McClure beat his defender on the right side of the goal before firing a strong shot past the keeper. Sheffield answered just before half when Betra headed home a cross. Wilson used his pace to beat the back line and go through on goal for the easy finish and gain the lead back. Wilson then converted from the penalty spot once again to extend the lead. Adelakun followed up a rebound off his own shot in the 90th minute to put the game out of reach. McCabe took advantage of poor defending to grab a late goal that was ultimately meaningless.
Yeovil Town 0 - Exeter City 2
EXE - Hesketh 61', Jamieson 90'
Hesketh showed off some nice skill with the ball to work his way into the box and strike the ball from the right side of the goal to the far post. Jamieson subbed on late and it only took a matter of minutes for him to score as he used his fresh legs to beat the defense and place it past the keeper to secure the match.
Bournemouth 1 - Exeter City 2
BOU - Rantie 65'
EXE - Hesketh 6', Wilson 30'
Wilson played Hesketh through to the left side of the goal for the first time strike past the keeper. Wilson chased down a ball and struck from just inside the box to the opposite post to double the lead for Exeter. Rantie cut the lead in half with a great first time strike at the top of the box to the left side of the goal.

Youth Academy
Antonio Lopes (Mexico) 15 years old 59-63 OVR 76-82 POT
-Antonio Lopes has the potential to be a solid defender, and favors to play in the center of the back line. At 15 his 5'6" frame still has room to grow, his final height could make him a great candidate for the middle of the defense.
Carl Little (Northern Ireland) 17 years old 59-63 OVR 74-80 POT.
- Carl Little has stepped up for the youth team playing as a center back. The 16 year old hit his growth spurt that the youth doctors were expecting and now stands at 6'1" giving him a bright future in the center of the defense.
Jay Holmes (England) 16 years old 74-80 OVR 88-94 POT.
-Jay Holmes has the look of something special. His technical abilities are far beyond his age and enable him to be extremely effective in the CAM role of the midfield. He is no doubt one to keep an eye on moving forward.
Josh Meenan (Northern Ireland) 16 years old 58-62 OVR 72-78 POT.
- The young boy from Northern Ireland has natural talents at keeper. His growth spurt put him towering well above 6 feet and will be one to watch in the future as he looks to impressive the manager of both club and country.
Rafael Lopez (Mexico) 15 years old 56-60 OVR 71-75 POT.
-Rafael looks like he will settle on the left side of the midfield where he spends the majority of his time on the youth squad. His main attributes are in pace and the coaches are hoping that his technical abilities will catch up in time.
Xabi Rodriguez (Mexico) 16 years old 69-73 OVR 89-94 POT.
-Xabi at just 15 from Mexico already shows a lot of promise. He is a natural playmaker who prefers playing as an attacking midfielder. He can make things happen when he has the ball, and his future at Exeter holds no limits.
Exeter City Player of the Month
A.K.A. Anyone but James Wilson Award
Bradford Jamieson IV
Jamieson was a key part of the three headed attack that dominated the league this month. Accounting for 5 goals and creating several chances, Jamieson is finishing his debut season strongly proving that he was worth every cent of his transfer fee.
Press Conference
Q: With only one league match left you have a 3 point advantage and a massive goal differential. You have effectively secured the league title for the 3rd straight year in charge with Exeter City. It will be official after your last match, but barring a 10-0 loss, it is all but yours. How big of an accomplishment is this for this club?
A: This is absolutely massive. We were a league 2 team only 2 years ago, and now we just won the Football League Championship. Next year will be the Premier League, and it will be a monumental challenge, but one that we will treasure every minute of. I couldn't be prouder of every player in this club, and they have earned the right to call themselves Premier League players.
Q: You have the F.A. Cup final against Tottenham coming up as well. Describe the journey you have been on to get the club to this point. What kind of chances do you give yourselves for taking home the trophy?
A: The journey has been unbelievable. We went out in early rounds the past few years, but we have kept finding ways to win this season. Our cup performances have been outstanding all around, since we also have taken home the Capital One Cup this season. A league title and the F.A. Cup would be a dream ending to this season, and I think we can pull it off. We have already beat the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United, there's no reason to believe we can't beat anyone.
Q: With both the Premier League and the Europa League next season, how will you manage the squad for these two huge steps up in competition? Will you need to make new signings, or do you feel the squad has enough depth to manage as is?
A: It will be a very interesting challenge to take on. Having those added fixtures will put a lot of physical and mental stress on our players, but that is my job to manage that. Of course I will be doing my due diligence and investigating available players to bring in, but nothing is guaranteed. We are all excited to even be in this situation though.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
@Kenny77 - I like it how Mirallas is going big for and that you destroyed Liverpool. Hopefully if you continue your play, you will rise a few spots.
@vrabbit - Those 2 goals against Chelsea, my god. And then you go on to beat Arsenal, twice. You are on a roll. Keep this play up and Chelsea will be second in a heartbeat. I like it how Vilna, a youngster of the bench, is getting it done. Interesting to see what kind of a player he becomes.
@jamiec47 - RONALDINHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Still got no clue how you lost to West Brom, but other then that, your results are improving. I'm glad that the signings are working out. Maybe lown out Nelson, when the time comes?
@JAGGER6223 - How haven't you scored at home? Are the goals locked up or something? Nah, I'm kidding. You have had a good start, hopefully you can start scoring at home, it will probably make your life easier and you can make the next step.
@Indiblue - I was hoping for a french team, just not Nantes. Not that I don't like that pick, it is good, I just didn't expect it. Why Nantes? Also, I love the writeup itself - the way you talk about changing the teams playstyle and that you want your goals to be realistic. This is a very good start (Y).
@texasbum6 - I'm sorry, but James Wilson would still win the "Anyone but James Wilson" award if he plays like that.
But anyway, YOU DID IT! PREMIER LEAGUE FOOTBALL BABY! Now you just got to beat Tottenham and it is a fine finish to a great season.Comment

Road to Glory - My Story
Season 1
Part 3 - August is the month of penalties
Page 828 - Part 1 - Introduction
Page 831 - Part 2 - Pre-season
My actual first goal!
Right, now things were getting important. My first league game - game that actually is important, and it was against Southend United. Like I mentioned last post, I was in the starting line up. And boy, I felt nauscious, nervous - everything. Bentley told me not to worry, he had more confidence in me than I did.
Sadly the game itself started pretty badly, we were dominated and we couldn't really get the ball. They kept pressuring us and I really thought we would crack. Coach was furious, screaming in the locker room at half-time.
We came out in the second half and we were completely different. I was more aggressive aswell, wanting the ball. Then, 60 minutes in, I get completely destroyed in the box - penalty. I stepped up to take, what could be my first league goal.
And it was! After that, the coach told us all to fall back completely. I am pretty sure, at some point, we were 11 men in the box, just defending. Yet we won 1-0, a great first game for me and for the team.
Almost ran into my teammate
Second game was a Capital One cup game against Portsmouth. We were away against them. It was like the first leg; our second league game would be against them again, so we would stay the week there. A rather poor decision in my opinion, yet ey, I am not the coach.
The fans there were absolutely hectic. Our bus was getting thrown stuff at. The stadium itself was electric, making the game itself rather tough. Like the first game, they were pressuring us. We had a few good chances, me personally aswell, yet I couldn't put them away. Then, some good passing play, I got open in the box and put it away! A goal like none other!
Again - park the bus was the message by Bentley. Drummond was screaming: "Everybody back, now!". I got subbed off about the 65 minute mark. Watching the game from the pitch was tense, yet we won 1-0. Again, from my goal.
Told you, clear penalty!
So, obviously, after beating Portsmouth and going back in there, the fans were not happy with me personally. People were holding signs saying I am this genital or my sexuality isn't what I feel it is. (For the record, I am straight. No disrespect to gays but, yeah actually I'll just leave it at that.)
Getting off-track over here. Anyway, Portsmouth and bad fans. Game actually started a bit better this time, we were holding the ball and we got a early penalty - I kid you not. Another penalty. Fleming got his shirt ripped to shreds in the box, the staff gave him a new one.
Up I went to take it and I scored! Third goal - a goal a game. We didn't celebrate too long, as they earned a corner and put it away. The header flew right over the keeper, the ginger guy lept like a salmon.
Anyway, the game ended 1-1, we were still undefeated. I felt I played well, yet the coach was not happy with anybody for giving the game away.
Atleast somebody is happy
I actually got to sit out the game against Mansfield Town. I stayed home and watched the game - it was boring. The game ended 0-0. I kinda think that the fact that the coach did not play me hindered the team. I don't want to have an ego or anything, yet I am on form. The team itself played well, we just lacked a scorer up front.
Me with the late game winner!
I was picked and starting for the game against Tranmere Rovers. A even game, both teams had plenty of the ball, yet no goals. I missed a few shots aswell. I was getting really frustrated - it felt just like quick sand. I was struggling, and the more I tried, the more I struggled and fell down.
At some point, the coach decided to play for the draw. I completely disagreed with him. While Kenyon was holding the ball in the corner, I wanted it so we could score. My chance came in the 90th minute, as I broke through and slotted it in to the bottom net!
We won the game 1-0, with my last minute efforts giving us the win. Bentley was a bit frustrated with me not listening to his orders, yet I feel that the win made him happier - he just didn't want to show it from his grumpy face.
Where you heading, keeper?
Next game, another cup game - second one this month, this time, against Shrewsbury Town in the Johnson Paint Trophy. It was a rather easy game, yet we just couldn't score. Our lucky chance came in the 70th minute, when we earned another penalty. I swear to god, this has really been the month of penalties.
However, I was not phased about it, I stepped up and did my job. My fifth goal this month, I couldn't believe it. If you had told me at the start of the season that I would score 5 goals in my first 5 games, I would have told you that you are full of it. I got subbed off very late in the game, but it did not effect the score. We won 1-0!
Your boy scoring his second!
Last game of the month was against Burton Albion. I wanted to end the month on a real high, so I decided to ask for the ball more. Took us about 30 minutes of pressuring them, but a great cross from Drummond gave me a great chance for a header and I put it away! 1-0!
Second half, Burton was pressuring us a lot more, but they made a mistake of putting too many people up front. We got to a counter where they couldn't catch me. I felt that somebody pulled me from my shirt, but it did not matter - as soon as I took the shot, it was in! My second, 2-0! Seven goals this month, can you believe it? I know I can't.
That was the game though. A month without losing. We are third in the league at this moment, not sure who is infront of us. But it doesn't matter. I am more focused on my own play, not everybody elses.
Also, I want to thank you fans for voting me to be the Morecambe Player of the Month! It is an honor.
Thanks for reading this post, I hope we can continue winning and I can continue scoring. Otherwise, I have to show you pictures of others scoring.
Take care!
Spoiler
Chico got it right! Thanks to the penalties, Thomas managed to score 7 goals!
Sportsfreak, you can still change anything you want, and now Chico, so can you!
This is the full list on what you can change. YOU CAN CHANGE ONLY ONE THING!

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
SpoilerWishing all of you guys Happy Holidays!
SpoilerDagenham '17-18 Season
December/January Update
League Match 16
QPR - Dagenham (2-3)
Hoilett 11'
Reyna 64'
Akpom 86'
Elito 89'
Yilmaz 90+'
Recap: Well that was scary. Although QPR was the best team in the Championship last season we had been able to narrowly beat them both times then. This season they're fighting to stay out of relegation while we're battling for the league title, but they still gave us a hell of a fight. Love the resilience the lads showed in this one.
League Match 17
Dagenham - Chelsea (3-2)
Monzon 12' (P)
De Bruyne 45'
Elito 52'
Collins 56'
Schurrle 90'
Recap: Even I was shocked as this game went on because we outplayed the league leaders (going into this game) really throughout. The penalty awarded to us early on was well deserved but when De Bruyne evened it up before the half part of me felt a storm was coming. But WE BROUGHT THE STORM! 2 goals in a 5 minute stretch seemed to knock off the Blue Lions and we closed it out for the victory and overtaking
League Match 18
Arsenal - Dagenham (0-3)
Ngando 30'
Elito 44'
Collins 62'
Recap: It's official y'all, we're a contender for the BPL title. A week after shocking all of England with a victory against Chelsea we walked into Emirates Stadium and slapped around the hosts. It comes as no surprise that Elito and Collins are handling the strings of the best form we've had all season, and arguably the best form the team has had in its 25-year history!
League Match 19
Dagenham - Hull City (2-1)
Reyna 11'
Brady 64'
Caseres 66'
Recap: Don't ask me how we can outplay Chelsea and Arsenal but we suffer to beat a relegation team like Hull City, I have no answers. Luckily Caseres stepped up for Collins who suffered an ankle injury early in the game and we were able to carry on with 3 more points.
League Match 20
Wigan Athletic - Dagenham (2-1)
Nimely 31'
McLean 41'
Sio 85'
Recap: I mentioned in the last update that Wigan always gives us trouble and, well, here they are again. If we are ever able to string the 10+ passes they put together in front of the box before Sio's goal near the end I will be shocked. They just always play us tough and this was a hard defeat because Chelsea is right on our heels.
JAN
League Match 21
Dagenham - Nott'm Forest (1-1)
Giva 57'
Lascelles 58' (OG)
Recap: Oy! I think Nott'm Forest borrowed Real Madrid's players for this one, because they were playing out of their minds! Credit to our guys for fighting in every minute of this game, and a Nimely rocket bounced off the goalkeeper and then off Lascelles who was trying to get out of the way for the ball to continue to go away from the goal. He wasn't quick enough, however, giving us a draw that ultimately was better than a defeat, but Chelsea is now back in 1st place.
F.A. Cup - Round 3
Dagenham - Crewe Alexandra (4-0)
Wilkinson 4'
Nimely 13'
Caseres 45'
Reyna 59'
Recap: I'll be damned if we're going to overlook a team with Max Clayton leading their attack but we shut the kid down and put a whooping on the visitors since early on, convincingly moving on to the next round of this competition. Recall that one of our goals this season is to win one of these cups and we went out too early in the Capital One. However, doing better than expected in the league, it'll be tough to manage to stay competitive in both leagues.
League Match 22
Dagenham - Cardiff City (3-1)
Monzon 33' (P)
Reyna 72'
Zindilis 83'
Jeong 90'
Recap: Cardiff once again did a fine job of protecting their goal, keeping us from displaying our dominance on the scoreboard for much of the game, but eventually we broke through to score 3 times on them again. Really cool moment for the kid Zindilis near the end as he got to score his first goal in a Dagenham uni. He's worked his way to being the 3rd CAM for us and we try to bring him into games whenever possible.
League Match 23
Everton - Dagenham (3-3)
Fellaini 2'
Gibson 51'
Monzon 59' (P)
Viola 65'
Wilkinson 87'
Vilna 90'
Recap: What. A. Game. We had embarrassed Everton back in November to the tune of 4-0 and they surely remembered that, dominating us from early on. But to the guys' credit they never backed down, even when the 0-2 deficit signaled defeat, and even when Viola brought us back down to 2 goals behind just minutes after we had cut their lead. Perseverance all the way, Wilkinson put us back within 1 with a header off a corner kick then Nimely broke through on a breakaway and hit a nice shot saved by the Everton goalie, the rebound knocked to the back of the net by the kid Vilna who raced to the corner with several players right behind him to celebrate a great accomplishment. In the bigger picture Chelsea continues to separate from us but at least we managed to save a point.
F.A. Cup - Round 4
Arsenal - Dagenham (1-3)
Elito 24'
Elito 30'
Nimely 88'
Wilshere 90+'
Recap: Apologies to all Arsenal fans out there but right now we own them. Twice we've played at their place and we have been the better team through all 180+ minutes of play. Elito is just an unbelievable story, continuing to play above his rating, undoubtedly inspired by his journey with this team from League 2. We move on to the Round of 16.
League Match 24
Fulham - Dagenham (0-3)
Vilna 18'
Monzon 22' (P)
Collins 73'
Recap: Much like Everton didn't forget about us, we did not forget about Fulham's 2-0 victory on our turf early in the season when both their goals came after the 90th minute. We outplayed them from beginning to end this time around and made it count since the early going to close out the month on a great note (undefeated!)

Early on we were in disbelief at our great success this season but now we fully embrace what we're doing and we're ready to fight for the league title and perhaps even more. We don't want to leave anything on the table, especially after getting a taste of 1st place for a couple of weeks. It will be tough, but I think we can do it. There are only 14 league games remaining with 3 months to play so stamina shouldn't be an issue. We also will try to play our best guys in the F.A. Cup and we'll definitely need our top players against our next opponent: Liverpool. We were able to bounce them out of the competition last season after a replay but they beat us soundly in the second game of this season.
Now another significant development at this time is the coming and going of the winter transfer window. Significant moves have been made, so here's the recap:
TRANSFERS OUT: Stefan Reichel (CDM, 66 OVR), loaned to Watford for the remainder of the season. Jordan Seabright (GK, 54 OVR), loaned to Podbeskidzie for the remainder of the season. James Collins (ST, 74 OVR), sold to VfB Stuttgart for $6.6 million. Jack Connors (LB, 66 OVR), sold to Birmingham City for $775K.
TRANSFERS IN: Jon Toral (CM, 69 OVR), purchased from Arsenal for $1.7 million. John Jones (CM, 68 OVR), purchased from FC Barcelona for $1.85 million. Francesco De Giorgio (CM, 64 OVR), purchased from Roma for $750K. Jurgen Locadia (ST, ?? OVR), signed to pre-contract for 5 years at $80K wages.
Yes, you read that right: we sold James Collins. For those of you following this CM this is probably shocking but the reality is he was starting to become injury prone (on the shelf twice in the 1st half of this season) and Stuggart was willing to pay nearly twice his value for him. For a money-starved team like us, that's hard to pass. Admittedly the solid performances we've had from Ramiro Caseres played a part here. The sale happened at the beginning of the last day of the transfer window and we worked hard to bring in a replacement but none of those negotiations ended well and in the end we preferred to put money on Locadia coming in next season to fortify our attack. In the meantime we feel we can continue to do well with Caseres-Nimely up front though we definitely take a hit on our depth at striker since Chuba Akpom is the only true striker left on our bench/reserves. Other than that, Connors days with the club were counted once Gavilan was promoted from the academy. We brought in a number of midfielders to fortify our depth at the position and have additional options for a starting CAM, though Ngango continues to be the starter for now and the kid Vilna continues to be the main sub there.
As far as the academy is concerned our scouts are now back from Colombia, Ireland, and Morocco and none of them have been sent back out yet. Here's our youth squad:
- Nathan Kenny (MID, 57-63 OVR, 80-90 POT): 16-year old from Ireland who has our scouts very excited. Will settle in either at CM or RM but has a chance to be a complete midfielder.
- Dean Murphy (DEF/MID, 56-68, 77-94)*: 17-year old from Ireland who is likely to be an LM. He's the latest addition to the academy.
- Sean Foran (DEF/MID, 55-65, 77-91): 15-year old from Ireland still trying to find his niche on the field. The left-footed kid has shown early signs of being a midfielder.
- Davor Alanovic (LB, 52-56, 81-87): 15-year old from Croatia has outstanding potential and mammoth stature at 6'7" and 176lbs. He'll be played at CB and we'll work really hard to develop him into an excellent defender.
- Mario Diaz (LW, 56-60, 76-82): 17-year old from Mexico with a lot of confidence. Our scouts are trying to convince him that he's better off staying in the academy for a year even though he feels he's a better talent at the moment than some of the names on the roster. We don't disagree, but he would have a tough time cracking the B-team right now. We're excited about him though.
- Faruk Bahamdan (CAM, 46-50, 74-82): 16-year old from Morocco who settled into his position early on. He's raw, so he'll need a lot of time in the academy to develop.
- Pablo Escobar (CAM, 46-48, 74-80): 16-year old from Venezuela who needs to remain in the academy for at least a full season. He has recently shown some higher flashes of potential than when previously evaluated.
- Ciaran Kavanagh (???, 42-52, 65-81)*: 15-year old from Ireland still being evaluated by our staff. Projects as either a midfielder or winger as of now.
- Magnus Gerndt (RW, 51-55, 72-78): 16-year old from Sweeden who projects as no more than a role player.
- Cesar Miguel (CDM, 44-46, 72-78)*: 16-year old from Venezuela who needs a good amount of development. Could be a solid role player for us in the future.
- Carlos Alberto (MID/ATT, 50-58, 67-79)*: 17-year old from Colombia who we're hoping will stick at striker since we currently do not have any attackers in the academy.
- Enric Tinlea (CM, 54-58, 71-75): 17-year old from Romania who isn't likely to spend all season in the academy due to his age, but we'll hope that he does.
*** Cristian Alonso (CM, 56) demanded to be called up to the senior team and we granted his wish due to his high potential (84-94). However, the 16-year old playmaker from Venezuela is very raw and had the unfortunate luck of not being claimed on loan in this past transfer window. He possesses a lot of talent in spite of his small stature of 5'5" and we'll do our best to develop him.

Match 23
Newcastle 2-0 Stoke
Ronaldinho 83 (PEN)
Ronaldinho 90
Ronaldinho's debut and he gave us the lead from the penalty spot, beating the defender with an elastico before being brought down. Earlier in the game he had struck the bar with a free kick. He got his second in stoppage time, beating 3 defenders before striking hard and low in between Butland's legs. What a player!
Match 24

Match 25
Hull 0-4 Newcastle
Riviere 29
Ronaldinho 36 (PEN)
Ronaldinho 68
Kampl 74
This was a display of total domination that made me exceptionally happy with the team. Riviere made it 1-0, breaking past the defender before striking hard and low into the bottom corner. Aarons then won a penalty, which Ronaldinho tucked away. He then got his second of the game, the ball played square to him. One touch to take it away from the defender and the bang, back of the net. Kampl got his first goal for the club to complete the annihilation, cutting inside and stroking into the bottom corner at the near post.
FA Cup Last 16
Newcastle 0-2 West Brom
Ideye 13
Gutierrez 48
Our reserves were beaten in this match, Ideye winning a header before Jonas scored a goal to get his own back for the sour way he left our club.
Match 26
Manchester City 0-1 Newcastle
Kompany 51 (OG)
A great win thanks to a goal that needs to be looked at by the dubious goals committee. Riviere struck the ball, and I think it was going in anyway before the deflection of of Kompany but it was given as an own goal. Dzeko had an excellent volley ruled out for offside which meant we held on for 3 points.
Match 27
Newcastle 1-0 Aston Villa
Ronaldinho 52 (PEN)
Another goal for Ronnie, his 5th in 4 games gave us the win. Aarons won the penalty, being dragged down in the box as he advanced to the byline and Ronnie casually tucked in. The Brazilian star had already missed a penalty in this match when Given made an outstanding save. Benteke had a strike ruled out for offside late on.

Thoughts
This is the perfect time to discuss my new signings, and we'll start with the positives, the people who are straight into the starting lineup. Firstly, Ronaldinho. The most fun player I have ever used, he brings a flair to our lineup and the name itself is big enough to strike fear into our opponents. 5 goals in 4 games is better than I could ever have asked for and I think his flair is rubbing off on one of our youngsters, but I'll get to him later. The shaggy haired wizard on the ball is just incredible. He can play a pass from nothing, be surrounded by players and then be beyond them in the blink of an eye. Outstanding.
Next up, Asmir Begovic. What can I say? He hasn't conceded yet! The West Brom and Crystal Palace games both had Alnwick in goal. He is just incredible. He has made some outstanding saves, namely on his debut to deny Costa from point blank range. Another was against his former club, Moses thundering a shot only to be denied by the big paw of the Bosnia number 1.
Our right midfielder Kevin Kampl has also got flair, and pace and everything. He can beat his man and get the ball in the box for Riviere. Or he'll go the the byline, turn, cut inside and have himself a chance. He links up well with Riviere, and the Frenchman is probably the player he has passed to the most since joining.
Kolo Toure made it straight into the lineup and hasn't looked back. Our centre back pairing of himself and Collocini may not have pace but it has defensive ability in abundance. Any striker goes head to head with Kolo, and I have not doubt the Ivorian will make the tackle and play it out.
Our final 2 signings of the window were Nelson Oliveira and Virgil Van Dijk. We'll start with Virgil. Hasn't played many games but when he has he's been solid. I tried him in defence and didn't see much of him, mainly because Kolo had everything covered. I could probably play just Ronnie, Kolo and Asmir and still with with a clean sheet. When I tried him out of position in defensive midfield, he played very well. He is a good passer and obviously solid defensively. Nelson on the other hand. Well I've had 3 great signings and a couple of decent ones, a bad one was bound to happen. He has not hit the mark. I've tried him off the bench but when he comes on it feels like our attack has got worse. He can't finish, doesn't make good runs and really, both Riviere and Perez are above him in the pecking order now.
As I said before, Ronnie's flair seems to be rubbing off on someone. That someone is Rolando Aarons. The young winger has been feeding off of Ronaldinho. The kid grew up watching him in his prime, he must be loving playing along side him. He makes beautiful runs, latches onto Ronnie's passes, beats the defender and wins a penalty. He is great!

Q: 6 games in, 2 wins, 4 draws and no losses. How you feeling about that?
A: Content. It's nice not too lose but our goal is to go into every game and win not too draw.
Q: 3 clean sheets, most in the league so far got too be happy with that?
A: I'm content as well. Football has two parts of it both attacking and defending. When we defend well we don't score when we attack well we don't defend well. We need to join the two together and thats what we are working on at the training ground.
Q: Do you think it's an issue that you aren't scoring at home but you are away? All three 0-0 have occured at NIB Stadium (Home) and you haven't even scored at home.
A: It is a massive problem! Home should be your fortress where you score goals, although we haven't conceded there. We haven't scored there too! Like you said. We are working on that too
Q: Your doing something that many Glory team in the past haven't. Win away. Thoughts?
A: It's very odd isn't it. Many good teams say draw away win at home. It's the opposite for us. But I don't mind. It shows that the team has character. What all managers want from their team. Also, I think its better to start winning away then at home. Because it's harder to win at home then away.
Q: Keogh and Griffiths are playing amazing football at the moment. Keogh has scored 3 goals including a brace against Sydney and Griffiths has given 2 assists playing that deep midfield role. As well as getting back and being an important part of your good defensive setup. Keogh was a signing of yours as well. What are your thoughts on the two?
A: Both players are playing great but it's a team effort. You are noticed when you score but the tackle to get the ball back isn't. Andy and Rostyn are doing their jobs and doing them well. But for now lets look at the team and not the indiviuals.
Q: Last season we saw De Silva break into the team as a 16 year old. we also saw Harold play a good amount of games for the Glory last season however, not having much of an impact same to with Maclaren. We have seen the three come off the bench for small stints this season so far. Will you be using them more this season due to them having an extra year of experience?
A: I will definately use them more throughout the season. They are raw and very talented with a lot of potential. However, at the moment we have a solid starting 11, which is great too have this early in the season, but for players like Danny (De Silva), Chris (Harold) and Jamie (Maclaren) they are left out. You will see them play a good amount of football this season. trust me.
Thankyou.

Jeu à la Nantaise: Season 1 (2014-15)
SpoilerNantes put their faith in young bloodSpoiler
Football Club de Nantes announced that maverick coach Indi Blue, the former assistant at English second-division side Brighton & Hove Albion, has been appointed manager. He has signed a three-year contract, during which time Nantes will hope to revive its fortunes and begin challenging for its ninth French league title. Below is the transcript from Indi's first press meet, which was held with the help of a translator.
Welcome to Nantes, Monsieur Blue. How does it feel to be here?
Merci. It's my first job in charge of a club, and there are not a lot of better opportunities out there. It's an honour to have got this chance. I'm not trying to ingratiate myself to the fans, but the truth is that this is a fantastic club with a rich sporting heritage. On top of that, we have a very ambitious but realistic group of leaders in the boardroom. That makes it easy to match what happens on the pitch with what takes place off it. All said and done, I'm very eager to get on with my job.
Do you feel any pressure after replacing Michel Der Zakarian?
No, not at all. Michel was a great player and manager for this club, and the work he did over the last two seasons will be important going forward. Obviously, some people believe that it's foolish for the board to have let go of someone experienced and proven to hire a newbie, but is it really that much different from giving academy graduates a chance? Everyone keeps saying they want to see clubs giving opportunities to young players. Why can't that apply to coaches, too?
Nantes is one of France's most modest clubs, even more so than Brighton. Will that be a problem?
Absolutely not. I think it's wise to operate within your means, which is probably why the last few seasons have been so good here. We already have some incredible players, and the club is in a very healthy financial position. I'm hoping to bring in one or two more lad for depth and development, but we will look increasingly towards our academy in the years to come. The new training complex for the first team and academy will be ready by next year. It's the board's job to figure out ways of paying for these investments, and it's mine to make sure we don't fall behind as we do that.
You seem very confident. What is the plan for this season?
We have to be realistic when we look at the immediate future. A new coach means a new way of playing, though I plan on adhering to this club's fantastic philosophy of jeu à la Nantaise, the Nantes way of playing attacking football. It's a brilliant thing that can connect us to the past without losing sight of the future, so it's the perfect foundation stone for what I want to achieve here. At the same time, we have to make sure that we are in a position to take advantage of everything the board is preparing for us, so the very first goal is to avoid relegation. Following that, we would like to improve on last season's performance, and perhaps qualify for the Europa League.
How has life in the city been so far?
It's been fantastic. Until I was approached for this job, I didn't know Nantes was such a vibrant place, but I fell in love with the place on my first trip here. It's not what you expect from a city of 600,000 people in the conventional sense. There's plenty of greenery and water in the urban centre, and you have so much natural beauty in and around the city limits. The quality of life here is incredible, with such an extensive and well-run public transportation system. You also have a vibrant nightlife and entertainment culture, so there's no reason I won't enjoy life away from football.

Wilson used his pace to beat the back line and go through on goal for the easy finish and gain the lead back. Wilson then converted from the penalty spot once again to extend the lead. Yeovil Town 0 - Exeter City 2
EXE - Hesketh 61', Jamieson 90'
Hesketh showed off some nice skill with the ball to work his way into the box and strike the ball from the right side of the goal to the far post.

Road to Glory - My Story
Season 1
Part 3 - August is the month of penaltiesSpoiler
Take care!

Hoilett 11'
Reyna 64'
Akpom 86'
Elito 89'

THAT is all for now!
Great job in the league! It's amazing that you're already competing for the league title. Some of those results were spectacular but I still don't understand how you drew with Nottingham after beating Chelsea and Arsenal.
Big teams always buy good players, even from rivals. At least I hope so.
* Simp - you damn communist, I get busy for a bit and you already dumped Verona AND already are in your 2nd season with Man U. You just can't stay away from those big-time teams can ya? **Alcorcon spoiler alert: one of your new acquisitions has also joined the team in the southwest of the Madrid metropolitan area, and this happened before I read your latest updates**. I have to admit part of me enjoyed that you didn't win any trophies last season, it's a nice break from all the winning that you do. I'm sure that won't last long.
I'm interested in seeing who you bought. I don't think it was Benzema, Ramos or Silva but we will see.

Damn it, again. I'm enjoying these updates a lot, keep them up. It's good that you have done well but I can't believe how many penalties you have been getting. Penomas! Penazerr! This time I will go big and say that you'll stay unbeaten.
Jeu à la Nantaise: Season 1 (2014-15)
Spoiler
Nantes put their faith in young blood
You also have a vibrant nightlife and entertainment culture, so there's no reason I won't enjoy life away from football.-Simppu12-

Fulham Sack Magath
Sky Sports, 28th of December
After there 3-0 loss and their 17th loss of the season yesterday to the Wolves and with the Cottagers dead last with only 6 points and no wins. Fulham have sacked Felix Magath. What a lot have said has come far too late. The annoucement came on the clubs website earlier this morning. Fulham who where relegated from the Premier League just last season are on course to do what Wolverhamption did and manage a double relegation! The club stated that Felix Magath wasn't the right man for the job and that the club felt he bought the wrong players in order to get promoted. They also stated that there search for a new manager is worldwide. SkyBet have surprisingly made Perth Glory manager Jake Gaspar who has got the A-League club to second on the table and are currently undfeated. Other candidates include ex-West Brom Steve Clarke and ex-Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis. For the short future though Kit Symons will be caretaker manager.

Then I bought up the keeper and the ball was cleared to Juric who ran into a open goal to give us our first defeat of the season.

Q: Firstly, 2 wins, 3 draws and a loss, how do you feel?
A: Content. Like last month. We won more but lost a game. I feel we are at the same stage as we were last month.
Q: You have a better home record this month. Was that a focus?
[/B]A:[/B] I knew that would happen. We where always going to start to win at home. I'm happy we have an undefeated record at home.
Q: Was the Melbourne City game at home the team's best game of the season so far.
A: No, we let in two goals that we should of not conceded, sure we scored four but I thought we could of defended better. Honestly, The Victory game has been the teams best game of the season. but that's my opinion.
Q: Many of your team players have been performing very well, including Vukovic who has 4 clean sheets a league best and Keogh who is leading the golden boot with 8 goals. Thoughts?
A: Like I said last month it's a team effort and I'm leaving it with that.
Q: Tranfer Window is open. Who and what are you looking too buy?
A; I honestly don't know. We have had scouts out looking at players but I don't have any names. And Position wise same response.
Q: Okay, the question that everyone want's to ask. The Fulham job is available and a lot of English media is saying that your the favourite. Can you tell us what you know.
A: Okay. Look you know I can't say anything. What I can say is I've got a call from a club in England. And that's it all I'm focusing on is the next game against Sydney.
Thankyou.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
@indiblue- Good to see that you went to France and Nantes is a good pick. Not gonna lie though, I did really want to see Bordeaux, but Nantes is good as well.
Sorry about that, I do remember those personal issues.
@Simppu12- I'd like to enjoy your career, but it is United. Just kidding. However I do agree with Indi in that I see it going the same way as Hertha. The only thing I don't like (other than the team) is that you are signing players directly from Liverpool. A transfer directly between the 2 teams has not happened since 1964. It just doesn't happen.
@Keano16- Still enjoying your Swansea career and those are some nice transfer prospects.
@Kenny77- Welcome to the forum. I hate Everton, however I am enjoying your career. I really like the visuals, same for your brother.
@texasbum06- Good job with Exeter. You will make it to the Premier League and then, here's something you might not know. No team from the south western peninsula of the UK has ever been in the Premier League. Can you make history?
@vrabbit- Good job with Dagenham. Looking at the squad it shows how well you are playing. However, I want an Alcorcon update please.
@Cruzerr- Good job. It's a very unique career for this forum. We don't see Pro careers often.
@JAGGER6223- You've got a challenge now. It's an interesting turn. Hope you stay upLast edited by jamiec47; 12-31-2014, 09:38 AM.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Glory Glory Man United
October 2016
Manchester United 1 - 1 Manchester City
Benzema 62'
Toure 9'
The first Manchester derby of the season was nothing special and it ended in a dull draw. The Citizens got the lead under ten minutes into the game when Yaya Toure shot a weak shot at Samir Handanovic. The United keeper didn't manage to save the ball and he let it go through his legs. Luckily Man United equalised at the hour mark when Karim Benzema dribbled past a few defenders before shooting the ball into the top net. Raheem Sterling and Thiago Silva got injured in the game and both suffered an ankle injury. Sterling broke his and he will miss three months of football and Silva only sprained his ankle and he will be out for a month. A week later during international matches Roberto Firmino got injured, too. He will be out for two months.
Liverpool 1 - 0 Manchester United
Sturridge 44'
The Liverpool versus Manchester United derby ended in a Liverpool victory after a few years of Manchester United domination. Daniel Sturridge scored the only goal right before half time with a long shot which flew into the top left corner. Samir Handanovic should've saved it but he didn't. United tried to equalise the game but Simon Mignolet and his defenders were playing well.
Champions League
Manchester United 2 - 0 Valencia CF
Benzema 24', Chicharito 41' pen
After two disappointing games in the league Manchester United were going to face the Spanish team Valencia who were the best team on paper of the group after the English side. ManU played a good game once again and only Diego Alves' saves kept the scoreline like it is. Twenty-five minutes into the game Karim Benzema headed the ball into the net and fifteen minutes later Javier Hernandez scored the second from the penalty spot.
Manchester United 2 - 1 Aston Villa
Powell 29', Benzema 71'
Benteke 66'
Capital One Cup Round of 16
Manchester United 2 - 1 Tottenham Hotspur
Rooney 8' pen, Benzema 47'
Doumbia 90' pen
Manchester United managed to beat Tottenham in the Capital One Cup to advance to the quarter finals. The game was controlled by the home team and they scored their first goal from the penalty spot. Only two minutes into the second half Karim Benzema scored the second goal with a low near post shot. At the end of the game Spurs were awarded a really controversial penalty which wasn't even a penalty. The replays show clearly how Sergio Ramos gets the ball a second before he even touches the opponent. The following penalty was scored by Seydou Doumbia but it wasn't enough to help Spurs.
Newcastle United 0 - 1 Manchester United
Benzema 78'
Karim Benzema Award
Karim Benzema
Like the name suggests the player of the month award goes this month once again to the striker Karim Benzema. The French man has been a real danger up top and he scored five goals in October. He is the leading top scorer of the Premier League and the Champions League and he has shown to be worth every penny Man United payed for him.
Champions League Group
1. Manchester United, 9 pts
2. Bayer Leverkusen, 6 pts
3. Valencia CF, 3 pts
4. RSC Anderlecht, 0 pts
League Table
1. Manchester United, 23 pts
2. Manchester City, 22 pts
3. Arsenal FC, 19 pts
4. Southampton, 19 pts
5. Chelsea FC, 18 pts
6. Aston Villa, 18 pts

20. Cardiff City, 6 pts
Press Conference
This month didn't go that well in the league. Or did it?
You're right, it didn't go well. We didn't score enough goals and we won only two of our four games. Yes, two of them were against big teams but that is not an excuse. We will do everything to get in a very good form again.
How did the injuries affect your game?
I would lie if I said they don't have an effect but we are Manchester United and a few injured players aren't a good enough reason for playing badly. Thiago (Silva) missed only one game because of the international break but Raheem's (Sterling) injury is a terrible one. He is a very important player and he plays well every time. Firmino's injury is a bad one, too. All and all the only player we are missing is Sterling but that shouldn't be a big problem.
You decided to bench Samir Handanovic and play Alphonse Areola who I forgot to tell you about in the transfers. Why did you do so?
Samir has been in very bad form lately like we saw against Liverpool and City and I decided to see how Al would do. He played well in the games he played and I decided to use him as a starter for a while.
You are first in your Champions League group and you are unbeaten in it. Do you think you will win the Champions League?
It is way too early to say anything. We could lose all of our remaining games and play in the Europa League or all of our players could get injured before the knock out stages. Realistically I think we have a good chance of winning it.
Thank you for reading this post! I hope you have enjoyed it! Any feedback or suggestions will be appreciated!

How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Road to Glory - My Story
Season 1
Part 2 - Pre-season
Page 828 - Part 1 - Introduction
It has been a hard pre-season. See, when you are in the youth squad, kids takes things lightly. Yet, the kind of training I have seen in the first team - honestly, it scares me. Everybody is proving himself just like before, yet this isn't that you get another chance. If you don't step up, they will get rid of you. Luckily, coach Bentley and the rest of the staff have been really supportive.
I read the news before the season started. I felt pretty good about myself after I read what it wrote:
"Thomas Cruzerr is the newest and most promising addition to the Morecambe line up this year. With all eyes on him it's easy to wonder if the 19 year old forward can live up to expectations. "I have no doubt Thomas has the skills to compete in the team", began Morecambe's manager. "It will really be about his ability to get on with the rest of the lads."
See, I told you that the coach has my back.
Me in the Morecambe jersey. Not too bad, eh?
We started the pre-season with 3 games: two at home, one away. First game was against Valanciennes FC. Coach let me play from the starting line-up. He told me it wasn't really a official debut, yet I should still take it seriously. I played poorly, we all did. Coach was screaming on the side of the pitch.
Half-time, things were going back. The locker room was quiet - nobody wanted to say a word, except for Bentley. He was yelling: "You are not focusing, you are not fighting, you are not keeping the ball." Everything.
Things did not get better, they were on us. They had plenty of chances, yet luckily, they were not putting them away. Then, late at the game, they had too many people up front - we won the ball, got on a counter. I got past the defender and they tripped me in the box - penalty! I also was given the chance to take it - and I scored! It felt great!
We did not play too well, yet we did get away with it. Sometimes, all you need is one chance to win it. The coach was not too happy with it, yet I felt pretty good. Roche, the goalkeeper, told me that we were poor, and if we play like that during the season, we are going to have problems.
Goodall and me celebrating his goal!
Second game against Latina and I got to start again. We looked a bit better. The ball moved a bit quicker and we were creating more chances. Our first goal came from a corner. Goodall got open in the box and put it past the keeper. It was a really weird shot, a high-arching one, yet it was in.
The second one was some good passing play. I gave a pass to Bondswell who managed to give a cross in to Mullin, who put it past the keeper. I got subbed off at 76' minute mark, yet I felt that my game was not too bad. The coach however did not look too happy.
Me getting past the defence and scoring!
Last pre-season game was against Nublense. Right from the start, I wanted to prove the coach wrong. I got past one of the defenders and slotted the ball in, a great strike! We had only played for five minutes, yet I got the early goal.
After that, the game went pretty passive. I got subbed out during half-time. Coach told me that I played well, yet he wants me to rest, because he wants me to start in our first league game. I feel pretty great, I don't know why he wants me to rest.
Anyway, thanks for reading this post, you Shrimp fans! I hope this season will go well!

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Poor wilson. I hope this doesn't cause him to rebel against you now! I had something similar happen to me once. My first job was at McDonald's when I was 16, I was awarded the Customer Service Employee of The Month award 7 times in a row. The winner was chosen solely from the paperwork, for example how many times your register cash has been perfect, customer comments, how many times you've had to delete items from the transaction, etc etc. I was really trying to go for a year straight, until my manager told me that for my 8th month he would have to choose someone else because me winning every month was damaging morale and the rest of the employees weren't even trying to win it anymore. So, regardless of how good my number was I wouldn't be taken into account for the award. Later on my manager ended up saying my performance had gone down and I was transferred to a different McDonald's. That jerk! Some say my picture is still in the break room. I'm not sure how I feel about that. Haha ANYWAY I hope the same doesn't happen to Wilson!Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
I was also thinking about changing the kit number. Maybe something like 99 because Cruzerr is better than any #9 in the league right now!
Cruzerr: I'm still not sure what to change. I liked Simppu's idea. Penazerr would be awesome, but the immature self in me finds that that also sounds very close to something a little inappropriate.... But still funny. Maybe Penomas. We still need to give you an Afro though. Do you have have Afros unlocked?Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Nice job neutralizing Max Clayton. Haters will say that it was his lesser team holding him back not you. Hahaha jk did he give you any problems at all? I always found his style of play limited. Then again I'm not good with short, speedy strikers. Some people just know how to use them, not me. Regardless he was an important player for me especially coming off the bench. He also scored the deciding penalty against Madrid :') now that you are in need of natural strikers for the bench, perhaps he could be an option? I can't remember how much I paid to get him though. All I remember is that Crewe Alexandria were being dicks during the negotiations.Comment
