Good idea, and in the mean time I might send my next youth scout out looking for Defenders or Physically strong players. Hopefully have some good prospects in line by the time I decide to move on and won't have to throw money at a better CB.

Thanks for the help I think this might be the guy I'll go after.

Nope. Didn't even consider it lol that's mainly why I can't remember who it was. Bulgaria sounds right but I can't say for sure...

If they have high potential maybe you should just loan them out. A lot of youth players come in with low physical stats but it'll grow over time. You can do the loan trick to maximize growth too. Once their overall grows you can sell them for a higher price! $$$

Quick question, when you sign a player on contract expiry is it supposed to come out of your wages when you accept the deal in January? Feels like the way it should be is that it doesn't come out of your wage budget until the player arrives at your club 6 months later. I just signed a player on contract expiry and he's still playing the remainder of his contract at his current team, but I am already paying him weekly. So pretty much he's getting paid by both teams to play at one. I probably would have just paid for his transfer had I known that this is the way it worked.

Injury Crisis; Manchester United Career Mode

David de Gea and Andres Lindengrad both got injured in the same match against Leister City. De Gea is out for 3 weeks whilst Lindengrad is injured for 6 weeks.
This now means I have no goalkeeper left (Amos was sold) and have to recall the loan of Pierluigi Gollini. Unfortunately their were no goalkeepers in the youth academy. I will have to play Gollini in goal ahead of a crucial league match against Man City, I will also have to put him on against Porto in the L16 of the Champions League and against Chelsea in the Capital One Cup final.

          Injury list in full:

          David de Gea 3 weeks
          Rafael da Silva 6 months
          Andres Lindengrad 6 weeks
          Klass- Jan Huntalaar 2 weeks
          Ryan Giggs 1 month
          Maroane Fellani 2 months
          Daniel Welbeck 3 weeks
          Chris Smalling 2 weeks

Never had an injury list that big before, I always have the injury frquencey slider on 80 but never had to deal with anything like this before.

Yeah, the game makes you use the current years wage budget to sign that pre-contract. I think that they made it this way so that people don't abuse the pre-contract system and just sign every player since they won't have a budget to work against if it didn't come out of the current year.

I wish there was a way to tell how much playing time the youth players are getting while out on loan on their stats

How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

AFC Wimbledon have bowed out of the Capital One Cup after being defeated by Crystal Palace on aggregate 3-2 in semifinals. Crystal Palace will now go on to face Manchester City for the trophy. This concludes all of Wimbledon's cup runs and now only have the league to focus on where they're on a 3-game winning streak all of which ended 1-0. The Wombles are currently the league leaders with 64 points and a record of 20 wins, 4 draws, and 5 losses.

                January Transfer Activity

Some of the biggest surprises have been the departure of Sammy Moore and George Francomb as well as the arrival of Tarik Çamdal who agreed to a $4000 salary, a salary higher than all of Wimbledon's players. However, the BIGGEST surprise, and one that a lot of fans are certainly excited for, is the return of Danny Kedwell - yes, the player that put AFC Wimbledon in the Football League 2 by scoring the final penalty in the penalty shoutout against Luton Town and lifting the cup as Wimbledon's captain. The player will be joining Wimbledon at the end of his contract with Gillingham. Kedwell played with Wimbledon from 2008 to 2011 until signing with Gillingham. The 30 year old will be welcomed back with open arms as he is a club legend for many fans.

Christian Jolley from Newport County will also be joining Wimbledon upon contract expiry. The signing of the 25 year old from England and the signing of Danny Kedwell make it evident that Danny Hylton, the league's current top scorer, may be sold by Wimbledon at the end of the season and also that the option to buy Max Clayton at the end of his loan from Crewe Alexandria will not be activated.

                Other arrivals:
                - Tyler Harvey - $100k + S. Moore purchase from Plymouth Argyle
                - John Egan - $200k purchase from Southend United
                - Ryan Tafazolli - $230k + Bennett purchase from Mansfield Town

Here's a look at the lineup used by Chavez at today's practice with some of the new reinforcements:

                Any feedback welcomed!

So as you may know, I was thinking about moving on after getting Wimbledon promoted, until I watched this again.

I can't abandon the fans club now! check out the video. Promotion to League 2 versus Luton Town went to a penalty shootout and this is how it went :0 AFC Wimbledon was only 9 years old, setting a record for quickest promotion from the 9th tier of English football to League 2 the 4th tier.

I'm in year 2 with tottenham now. I'm in 3rd place at the start of the winter transfer window and also qualified 1st in my tough group (psg, basel, and zenit) for the rd of 16 for the champions league (got 4th in the prem league last year), but got knocked out of the league cup in the quarterfinals :P. I won the fa cup last year and also the europa league, made it to the league cup finals, and won the super cup at the start of this year. my lineup now is:

                            1st team

                            GK Lloris 85
                            RB Walker 80
                            CB Chiriches 80
                            CB Vertonghen 83
                            LB De Sciglio 84
                            CDM Sandro 82
                            RM Pogba 86
                            LM Eriksen 85
                            CAM Insigne 80
                            RW Lamela 83
                            LW El Shaarawy 83

                            Subs

                            GK Butland 73
                            CB Vidic 79
                            FB Shaw 75
                            CDM Capoue 79
                            CM Paulinho 81
                            CM Sigurdsson 79
                            W Bakkali 77

                            Key Reserves

                            CM Chadli 79
                            CB Aké 69
                            CM Falque 75
                            FB Naughton 75
                            W Ceballos 72

Right now, vertonghen and walker are actually injured, so shaw and vidic are starting with naughton and chadli taking spots on the bench.

Transfers in (no order I can't remember, season 2 transactions have an asterisk):
De sciglio, shaw, butland, aké*, bakkali*, vidic (free)*, el shaarawy*, insigne, pogba*, bonilla (a 69 overall gk), damião

                            Transfers out
Rose, Lennon, Dawson*, soldado*, townsend*, dembele*, livermore*, damião*, gomes, archer (released)

El shaarawy for $40mil has been the buy of the century. 16 goals in 15 league games so far (!!!!) and was in 8.3 form at one point. De sciglio has been a great buy too, and he's gone from a 77 to an 84 in just a year and change. pogba costed a lot ($60 mil), but he's been good too. bakkali, butland, and shaw are developing nicely too and all three play better than their overall ratings. i'm thinking about selling insigne soon because he's not playing well and I think it might be better if I put eriksen in his spot in the lineup which would allow paulinho to get off the bench. I kind of regret selling dawson because my center backs have all had injuries or suspensions at some point and i'm running thin. trying to also get ake out on a loan and buy some more cb depth this january. are there any young cb's i should target? also, are their any good young cf/cam players (someone who can play a false 9ish position) i can get at a reasonable price? insigne isn't cutting it, and eriksen isn't quite a false 9 type player.

Interesting formation. Is that a 4-4-2 Diamond Wide with the strikers customized to be wingers? Looks like a regular 4-3-3 False 9 but with a CAM instead of CF right?

Not sure what his price is (just shut off the console forgot to check) but Muniain from Athletic Bilbao is a great CAM/CF. Also from Bilbao, I've used Ibai Gomez as a CF false 9 in FIFA 13 and it worked out great. Carlos Vela would be a good slap in Arsenal's face but will probably be more expensive. Stuart Holden from Bolton was a beast at CF for me in FIFA 13 but I haven't used him this year. I'm not even sure what he's rated this year. He's listed as CDM but that's not his natural position. Another mistake from EA -_- hope I helped!
