EDIT: Ok just read into it, so Melbourne Heart changed name to Melbourne City this year. Makes a lot more sense now
Lol, you should use Melbourne Heart as they just got David Villa, Damien Duff and they will get Lampard. Just put those players in manually. The team I used was Wellington Phoenix.

AD Alcorcon - '16-'17 Season Update

We are now at the halfway through the season doing considerably well, I would even say meeting expectations with the improved squad.

      Standings (after 21 games)

      1. RCD Mallorca - 50pts
      2. AD Alcorcon - 48pts
      3. Granada CF - 44pts
      4. RM Castilla - 39pts
      5. UD Almeria - 38pts
      6. UD Las Palmas - 37pts

One of my issues last season was that even though I was battling for the top spots my GD was much lower than those around me (I finished +31). I'm off to a much better start this season already at +23 and only Mallorca (+32) and Granada (+25) have better GD. My starting strikers are both tied for the team lead in goals with 5. Paredes hasn't scored since the last update but he does continue to lead the league in assists now with 7. D'Angelo leads the league in clean sheets with 11, or 5 more than the second best.

Unfortunately we were bounced off Copa Del Rey by the bastards from Osasuna, who after taking a 0-1 defeat at home came to our turf and took home a 3-2 win (advancing thanks to away goals). Quite possibly the most frustrating game I've ever played. They jumped to a 1-0 lead and I evened the score a few minutes later only to watch them go ahead 2-1 midway through the first half. I then score another equalizer on the 45th minute. The second half was a battle back and forth but Osasuna scored in the 88th minute to break our hearts yet again. After beating us in the playoff for the 3rd promotion spot last season and now this I have to say they are now my rivals. I can't decide if I wish they get demoted back to Liga Adelante or if I just wanna play them at least twice next season in La Liga (they are dead last in La Liga with 6 points, 10 behind 19th place Getafe). Our attention is now solely focused on the league and we'd like to win it. We are 15-3-3 with the 3 losses being against Granada (0-1), RM Castilla (0-1), and Tenerife (1-3)

For the first time in my career I was awarded Manager of the Month for November 2016. Omar Gonzalez also took home Player of the Month that same month. The amount of talent I was able to put together sort of back fired when Demichelis, Soares Martins, and Rubio all complained of not getting enough PT and demanded to be moved. I only transfer listed Demichelis and placed the other two for loan. Of course, Demichelis has gathered no interest for anyone. Yes, that means we're in the winter transfer window and yes there have been some moves:

TRANSFERS IN: Euller (LB, 60 OVR), purchased from Vitoria for depth behind Traore; Janoi Donacien (CB, 63 OVR), short loan from Aston Villa for depth; Jean Zimmer (RB, 60 OVR), short loan from Kaiserslautern for depth behind Navarro who has suffered two separate injuries this season.
TRANSFERS OUT: Sergio Prendes (LM, 62O OVR), sold to Recreativo for $240K - he was aging away in my reserves since I've gone with a youth movement so I was really excited someone paid his actual value; Francisco Moya (CF, 60 OVR), short loan to Recreativo - my 5th rated striker hopefully will get the PT that he wasn't going to get this season here; Soares Martins (CB, 68 OVR), short loan to Sabadell - complained about not getting PT and he'll sure get to play there; Franco Gomez (CM, 64 OVR), short loan to Granada - I was actually rotating this 16-year old prospect as part of my subs and hope the league contenders will give him ample PT; Alex Rubio (ST, 66 OVR), short loan to Espanyol - another one unhappy about PT, we'll see if he gets more action for La Liga's 14th place team.

On a final note, Germany is THE place to go scout y'all. I ended up signing 8 kids from there to my youth squad and I'm looking forward to May 1st to get a better idea of what kind of talent they have. The other 7 kids from youth squad are from England (2), Japan (2), Venezuela (1, my top prospect), Peru (1), and Spain (1). I used to have a second, very promising, prospect from Venezuela but the ******* demanded to be signed so now he's there not gathering loan interest from other teams. I'm gonna have to find a way to give him minutes to develop him.

There have been no qualifiers with Venezuela since the last update. We did have friendlies against Switzerland (1-1) and Sweden (0-0).

I'm really considering moving clubs at the end of the 2015-16 season. I've been getting at least one offer from a major club every six months, and it's starting to get really tempting.

Come on people, motivate me to stick by Brighton and finish what I started!

Wimbledon manager Chavez has favored a Custom 4-1-4-1 formation this season, while occasionally using a 4-2-3-1 Wide when fielding an alternative lineup. Here is the usual starting 11:

Indi if you want your Career Mode to be realistic it would be realistic to move to a bigger club, it's what real managers do. E.g. Rodgers Swansea to Liverpool, Martinez Wigan to Everton. However, if you like continue with Brighton until the end of the season and then 2 to 3 weeks before you end the season browse your jobs and apply for one of the teams (if you like a team) they should accept if you have succeeded you goals.

Don't do it Indi. Be Brighton's Fergie and be there for at least 10 years! Or at least set yourself a goal like winning every trophy at least once before leaving.

Yeah, I figured. But I don't want to leave with just one measly League Cup or FA Cup trophy, you know? I suppose a stacked squad is one legacy.

Tempting. Tempting. I will have to consider all options, but at the end of the season. For now, the Capital One Cup and finishing top 4 (title?) are priorities. Oh, and semifinal is Man United, not Sunderland.

I do like not having money, but when you have £50,000 to try and stay in the Championship, and a squad of just 22 players, with a couple being loan reserves from League 2 clubs, I just need a takeover. I would have bought one myself, but the one career I used a takeover on glitched and I had to buy both that I had unlocked

I checked and I'm only at level 58 sorry man. Have you used any of the scout future star? Maybe one of those could help you with squad depth and he'll have max potential as well

                            ROAD TO RECOVERY
                            SEASON 2

                            Match 6

                            Coventry 0-0 Leeds
Such a dull game, bogged down in midfield.

                            Match 7

                            Bolton 2-1 Coventry
                            Trotter 28
                            Pedersen 37
                            Azogue 43

Trotter opened the scoring on the rebound before Pedersen headed in. Azogue headed one back but we couldn't get back in it.

                            Match 8

                            Coventry 0-1 Leyton Orient
                            Batt 51
Batt smashed in from close range to give Orient an undeserved win.

                            Match 9

                            Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 Coventry
                            Best 61
Former Coventry striker Leon Best smashed in the only goal of the game on the volley, into the top corner.

                            Match 10

                            Coventry 0-2 Stoke
                            Ireland 15
                            Ireland 86

Ireland headed in the opener before jinking inbetween the defence to chip over McCarthy.

                            Thoughts

An absolutely awful month. What else can I say. I decided to give this career a chance, but in FIFA 15 I will do a takeover. Will there be a FIFA 15 Career Mode thread like this?

Against Granada I won 2-0 with Christian Rodriguez and Koke (the sub I brought in for David Villa) scored. Granada has the least amount of points in the league. I am 10th currently in La Liga but the team above me is Espanyol, who is 3 points above me, and I face them next.

Against Espanyol I won 3-2 with David Villa scoring his 11th and 12th goal and Diego also scoring. One of their goals was a penalty kick when I made a stupid pass from the goalie to one of their players that ran into the box whom I tried to steal the ball from with a slide tackle from the front but ended up knocking him down. David Villa is one of the top scorers in the league. I am now 9th in La Liga tied with Espanyol but above them in goal difference I'm pretty sure. They've played 29 games and I've played 30.

Against Real Betis I tied 2-2. I gave up two early goals, but one was an own goal. Both of my goals were in the last ten minutes, one in stoppage time. I know Mario Suarez scored the first but I'm not sure who scored the second. I am still ninth tied with RCD Espanyol. We both have 44 points but they have played one less game.

Against Australia as Switzerland I tied 2-2. In the first half they went up 1-0 early, so at half time I switched the formation to 4-3-2-1 Attack and scored twice. Then I gave up a goal around the 70th minute. Then I simmed the Czech game and tied 0-0.

Come on people, motivate me to stick by Brighton and finish what I started!
I meant to include this in my Alcorcon update. I always check jobs available just for fun to see what's out there, sort of as to judge how well I'm doing. My wages are $7K so also look to see whether any jobs offer more (not that it matters in the game). Recently I saw Feyenord (sp?) had a vacancy. The offered $23K in wages and are of the top teams in Holland. I applied for the hell of it as while at Boca Juniors I must have been rejected 10 different times before Alcorcon replied postively. To my surprise they offered me a contract. I stalled. I froze. I didnt expect it. Suddenly I had a chance to go to an European contender. It was tempting. Yet I never accepted because I couldnt give up trying to bring Alcorcon to Liga BBVA for the first time in club history. Probably a similar reason why you continue to stay. I'd say to see that through for as long as you can.

Then again I did do a financial takeover in a situation similar to you so I'm probably a hypocrite. I'm not on PS3 nor do I have level 78 so yeah.
