Great work turning things around! Hopefully this can end with at the very least UCL football for you next year. Love the signing of my boy Lacazette, he is an absolute tank and will give you another strong (but very different) option up top from Bendtner.

Bendtner may not be around next season.

I am going to run two careers but am not sure who the second one should be. I either want to be a Bundesliga or Serie A team that I can pronounce that is mid-table most years. I am going to decide soon so be quick

Good thing you were able to get out of your bad run of form! That match against Chelsea though, wow. A fight to the death! How late did you receive that penalty? To think that if you would have missed it chelsea would go through on away goals.

Bendtner is a eternal at Brighton after that bicycle kick goal though! lol still hasn't adapted to your new system?

In the Bundesliga I like Hamburg because of the fact that they've never been relegated in the entire Bundesliga history but this past season they just barely survived. They have nice kits too so that's a plus.

I'm not very familiar with the Serie A, but Torino is among the most successful clubs in Italy but they haven't been favorites in a long time. I think they were barely able to qualify to the Europa League this past season. I would consider them a higher mid table and it would be a challenging career mode as you have solid competition all across the league, not the mention the giants AC Milan, Inter, Juve, and Roma.

Deep into 4 minutes of injury time. I scored, Chelsea kicked off, two passes and the whistle blew.

That goal will live forever but Bendtner needs to go. Lacks the pace to be part of this team.

Hamburg sounds like a team I might choose, I'll look at their kits real quick

They're known for the red shorts. It's actually their nickname as well as "the dinosaur lol I really enjoyed my career with them in FIFA 13 but I had to quit it when I purchased FIFA 14. Might start it up again later. So many teams I want to do a career with I don't think I'll be able to do them all before FIFA 15! I might just buy the new game late and milk FIFA 14 as much as I can haha

Game will be next gen only, right? I'm still on 360 so I may play '14 for a long while.

That's what I thought too but Jamie here said it's been confirmed for PS3 and 360. I'm enjoying '14 so far though so I might even wait until '16 comes out to buy a new game. I used to do it that way, every two years so the changes would be more noticeable, but there were so many things I disliked about '13 that were fixed/added on '14 so I broke my every two years rule

                          Press Conference

Q: Great results in the Champions League this month. You have moved into the top 2 with one match left to play. Do you feel like you can take the 3 points in this match and advance into the round of 16?

A: Our destiny is in our own hands at this point. We still have to go on the road and beat a good team in PAOK. Every game in this league is tough, and we are going to go into this game 100% mentally prepared and ready for anything.

Q: You are sitting in a Europa league spot right now after fighting the past few months to get into the top 6. Where do you see Deportivo being at the end of this season?

A: Europa League is great, but our sights are higher. Anything short of a return to the Champions League will be a disappointment. We were up to 3 before the last match against Barcelona, and we are only 2 points out of 2nd as the table stands. I think you will still see us rising through this table as the season goes on.

Q: Through the first leg of the Copa Del Rey match up against Villarreal you won 3-2 at home. What are your thoughts going into the second leg?

A: Getting the win was great, but it definitely hurt to give up 2 away goals to Villarreal. We need focus on going into their stadium now and coming away with either a win or a draw. I am still optimistic that we will be advancing in this match up, but Villarreal are a great team and can certainly take down anyone if they come to play.

Nice 2 month unbeaten streak going on! Glad to see you decided to stick with Brighton. I didn't get a chance to post when you were thinking about giving up, but I was really hoping you wouldn't. Love it when your players get called up to for their first senior international caps. I was really proud when Suso started getting consistent call ups, then I sold him

                              Aston Villa Career Mode Update

                              October Results

Aston Villa 1-0 FK Austria (Europa League)

                              West Ham 0-2 Aston Villa

                              Norway 2-1 Wales (European Qualifiers)

                              England 1-1 Norway

                              Aston Villa 1-0 Swansea

Aston Villa 1-0 Inter Milan (Europa League)

                              Tottenham 0-1 Aston Villa

Aston Villa 5-3 Arsenal (Capital One Cup Round of 16)

                              An excellent, undefeated month.
We're now causing a huge shock by leading the pack by a point, about one third of the way through the season.
No worries of second season syndrome. Let's keep it up.

                              November Results

                              Aston Villa 2-0 Norwich

                              F.K Austria 0-3 Aston Villa

                              Stoke 0-3 Aston Villa

                              Aston Villa 4-1 Sunderland

                              Norway 1-3 Germany (International Friendly)

                              Peru 0-2 Norway (International Friendly)

                              Aston Villa 1-1 Chelsea

                              Arsenal 4-0 Aston Villa

A good month that saw us keep first place in the table. An excellent showing against Chelsea where we were unlucky not to win. I really don't know what happened against Arsenal, I'm hoping it's just a lacpe, not the start of a bad run. We'll find out in December.

                              December Results

Aston Villa 1-1 Norwich (Capital One Cup) (Villa go through 5-3 on penalties)

Aston Villa 2-0 Malmo (Europa League)

                              Aston Villa 3-0 Crystal Palace

                              Southampton 2-2 Aston Villa

                              Inter Milan 1-1 Aston Villa

                              West Brom 1-1 Aston Villa

                              Aston Villa 2-0 Hull City

We carried some of the bad form from the Arsenal game into the new month.
Surprisingly we didn't drop down the table too much, we sit 2nd at the half way stage. The table is shown below: (after 19 games)

                              1st: Chelsea 44 (points)
                              2nd: ASTON VILLA 43 (13-4-2)
                              3rd: Man City 42
                              4th: Liverpool 41
                              5th: Tottenham 39

Wow, I never would have thought we would be in this position at the start of the season. We can't afford to go on another run like December if we are to lift the title. At the start of the season the board's objective for me was to qualify for the Champions League, or Champions Cup as it is known in the game. We are certainly in line for that. As always Sturridge has been on fire as has the rest of the team. On a different note Carrdif, Norwich and Crystal Palace occupy the relegation zone.

Thanks for reading, any feedback appreciated.
