        Player of the Month

        Daniel Sturridge With 2 Goals out of 4 Scored, He was the most outstanding player.

        Standings
        11. Manchester City – 3 Played / 5 Points

        13. Swansea City – 4 Played / 5 Points

        Youth Squad
        There is no one in the Youth Squad

        Press Conference
        Griffin, In your first month as a Coach, How did u find managing this squad?
        Training wise im basicly doing the same thing as I did as an Assistant Coach, But now its very different in the Games, I got to get used to the Progress but I believe I will get there, Its just a matter of time before I figure out the Managership

        What is the plan for this season, Aiming for championship or what?
        We have decided to prioritize Youth this season, Liverpool is still a progress and Youth is defenitly the best thing to focus at, We have our Youth squad that is being scouted at the moment along with the great talent we have in the team, With the great leadership of veterans, I think we will get there, that’s our goal.

        Who has been the most surprising player for you so far?
        I must say that Emre (Can) has surprised me the most, He has just come from Bayer in the Summer and has already made an impact on that Spot that he covered from our Captain. Lazar (Markovic) has impressed me aswell, He was very important going forward. I am just proud of the entire squad at the moment, everyone is trying to do their best, and even though we haven’t had the best of starts, im proud of them.

        What do you think is the problem? I assume it’s the defense?
        Yes I admit, There are some problems in the defense that we have to sort out, But you have to remember that 3 out of 4 Defenders are new signings, we have to grow together, The biggest problem we have at the moment is clearing the ball, But that will be solved soon enough, This was the last question, Thank you for coming.

          Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

          Right, the 4-3-3 started becoming tough to play with because of the distance between the midfield and the forwards. A change to 4-2-3-1 wide made things much better. Milner is a man reborn out wide, a move necessitated by the fact that Sessegnon no longer has the pace to play there.

          Having a massive problem with settling on a first-choice LM. Sako bagged 16 goals last season to be our top scorer, but Redmond is just insane. He single-handedly broke Sevilla in the final preseason match, drifting all over the pitch like a little English Ronaldo who tracks back. I could play one on the right, but Milner has been superb there, especially with set piece deliveries. Gah!

          Need to pick up a striker who can compete with Ideye, who's due for a pay rise and extension with just one year left on his contract, and a CAM who can take over from Sessegnon in a season or two. Foster has been excellent, so there's no need for a new keeper, but Kapino is starting to behave like a Billy Bigtime with his contract. Let's see how that goes.

            I would recommend Halilovic and Ravel Morrison for the CAM Spot, Morrison is a little better at scoring, But halilovic is pretty much Messi junior, he can dribble past 4 or 5 man. For striker i would say Gayle or Adebayor, especially when ur crossing alot, Adebayor is actually really good at holding the ball and dribbling aswell, Super-sub.

              How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

              March 2019 - Season 6
              FIFA '14

              Capital One Cup Final
              AFC Wimbledon - Chelsea
              Spoiler

              They've done it! AFC Wimbledon have won their first ever Capital One Cup in the team's history! Chelsea came out to defend today, as they mostly sat back to hold off Wimbledon who finished the match with 61% possession. We all thought the match would go to extra time since in the final minutes Wimbledon also slowed down and began killing time by passing the ball around in midfield, but suddenly Max Clayton found himself open for a through pass to cross it into the box and who other than Wimbledon star Terry Gornell to head in the decisive goal. "Mourinho is a smart man and though he won't admit it, I'm pretty sure he knew that they struggle playing away against us. The match was here at Wembley but we were the 'home' team. Must be their white uniform. They played a smart game though and since it's Chelsea we were always on our toes. I'm glad that we have been able to give the fans both of the domestic cups. We owed this one to them after losing the final to Manchester United in 2015." - Chavez, Wimbledon manager. The MOTM was awarded to Wimbledon's recent acquisition Jack Robinson, who played a perfect game tonight. Robinson had several successful statistics such as 22 out of 22 passes, 19 out of 20 dribbles, 2 out of 2 crosses and 5 out of 5 tackles.

              Tottenham 1 - 2 AFC Wimbledon
              WIM: Gornell (pen) 31' James 37'
              TOT: Martial 71'
              A very difficult match for the Dons as they continue to fight at the top of the table. Tottenham gave Wimbledon a tough game and were very close to equalizing before the end with several long shots, but fortunately Wimbledon's keeper Adam Cowie was there to save his team.

              Watford 0 - 1 AFC Wimbledon
              WIM: Clayton 79'
              Bottom of the table Watford didn't give away the victory to the Wimbledon B team without making them work for it. Watford played great defensively, only a surprise long shot from Max Clayton was able to defeat the Watford goalkeeper. "They're a tough team to beat you can't judge them too much off of what the paper says. Their manager knows how to set them up but in the end we were finally able to break through." - Richard Odhlambo, midfielder.

              FA Cup - Quarter Final
              AFC Wimbledon 2 - 1 Chelsea
              WIM: Gornell 32' James 61'
              CHE: David Luiz 81'
              Chelsea weren't able to get their revenge from losing the Capital One Cup to Wimbledon earlier this month, but were still very close to. Mourinho changed his game plan from the last match and this time Chelsea came out with the intent to push forward rather than wait for the counter attack. It proved effective and after David Luiz's goal it really looked like they would equalize the match, but Wimbledon were able to hold them off in the final minutes and knock them out of the cup.

              Champions League - Round of 16 2nd Leg
              Bayern Munich 1(2) - 1(4) AFC Wimbledon
              BAY: Suarez 24'
              WIM: Clayton 71'
              Bayern Munich were so close to eliminating Wimbledon on away goals rule, but Max Clayton was just barely able to score in the 71st minute after which Bayern would have to score two more goals in order to take the match to extra time. Wimbledon played well defensively though and kept that from happening. Clayton's goal in the 71st minute was actually Wimbledon's first shot of the match, since Bayern were completely dominating the match and kept the ball mostly in Wimbledon's half. A couple changes from Bayern's play tonight, for one Manuel Neuer hardly ever left his box this time, and also the Germans went full on attack without easing off like they did in the 1st leg. Unfortunately for the Bundesliga champions, the Dons toughed it out and go ahead on aggregate.

              AFC Wimbledon 2 - 2 Liverpool
              LIV: Robinson (OG) 25' Lucas Leiva 45'
              WIM: Gornell 59' Clayton 75'
              Since the formation change, Wimbledon hasn't been able to defeat the Reds. In fact, they were barely able to escape with a point tonight. The Wombles looked clumsy on the field, with poor passing, several late reactions, and even an own goal from the new signing Jack Robinson. Max Clayton came into the match in the second half and saved the day for the second consecutive match.

              Notable Youth Academy Players
              * = New Addition

              Charlie Hopper - LB (48-50, 85-91): The English born 16 year old has been developing really well with the U-17, known for being a playmaker.

              Chris McGinn - CDM (61-65, 87-93): The 17 year old from Northern Ireland has finally chosen CDM as his position of choice. He's considered to be physically strong, but may not be promoted until next year.

              Curtis Burgess - CM (44-46, 80-86): The English midfielder surprised us in his latest showings with the U-17. The staff saw him as an average player, but after a few months of being with the youth team he has shown that he has a bright footballing career ahead of him. Known for his attacking style of play from midfield.

              Jamie Mannus - CDM (60-64, 82-88): This 16 year old from Northern Ireland has a bright future ahead of him. He stands at 6'5" and prefers playing as a defensive midfielder. Competition between him and Sean Archer in the U-17 is very close, with Mannus being more defensive minded. We expect great things from these two players.

              *Kyle Clarkson* - LW (52-64, 76-94): Recently added to the academy so still being analyzed. The English winger is only 5'8" at age 15.

              Mal Osborn - RB (40-42, 80-86): One of the only two fullbacks in the U-17 that isn't defensive minded. The English winger is only 15 years old and can't be registered with the senior team until next season, but he's already one of the fastest players in the academy.

              *Ryan Yeoman* - RM (54-68, 78-94): Standing at 5'8", the 16 year old English winger is expected to receive a call up next season.

              Scott McGabe - CDM (65-69, 85-91): The 16 year old from Scotland has been compared his compatriot Sean Archer as they both have similar playing styles. Both are defensive, playmaking, midfielders. McGabe's only flaw is his height: 5'7"

              Sean Archer - CDM (61-65, 85-91): The 16 year old from Scotland is an incredible playmaker who prefers to stay in the defensive half and analyze the game from there. He's one of the most exciting players in the U-17 but he will not be registered with the senior squad until next season.

              Steven Ross - CDM (58-62, 80-86): Defensive minded midfielder from Scotland. Recently turned 16 but won't be considered for promotion until next season.

              Todd Zebroski - CDM (58-62, 80-86): 15 year old playmaker from England. Definitely one to keep an eye on but can't be promoted until next season.

              Euro Cup Qualifiers

              Finland 0 - 5 Scotland
              SCO: Mackay-Steven 4' 11' 70' Wilson 53' 64'
              After struggling to get his team in a qualifying position after 6 games, Chavez changed the Scot's formation to a 3-5-2 and it immediately paid off with a huge win over Finland. Scotland star Gary Mackay-Steven earned himself a hat-trick while Wimbledon defender Danny Wilson scored two goals from corner kicks. Wimbledon youth graduate Adam Cowie has recently taken the starting goalkeeper spot at Wimbledon an has also earned himself his first ever call up to the Scotland national team, becoming the starting goalkeeper there as well. The 19 year old has a bright future and has already proven to be the current best Scottish goalkeeper.

              Scotland 3 - 0 Belgium
              SCO: Paterson 6' 50' Mackay-Steven 48'
              Scotland have ended Belgium's 7 game winning streak and have become the first to defeat them in this year's qualifiers. The win was a surprise on it's own, but the way the Scots took the win was an even bigger surprise as nobody expected Belgium to lose the match the way they did.

              Euro Cup Qualifiers
              1. Belgium - 17 points (+5)
              2. Scotland - 14 points (+8)
              3. France - 14 points (+8)
              4. Portugal - 11 points (+2)
              5. Sweden - 8 points (-7)
              6. Finland - 2 points (-16)

              ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
              Big news from Wimbledon: James Tarkowski has become the first ever AFC Wimbledon to be called up to the England national team! The 26 year old centre back has made 35 appearances for the Wombles since joining from League 1 club Brentford and has netted 3 goals all in Champions League matches. "He's the happiest man on Earth right now and we are proud to have him called up to play for England. When we signed him this summer I said that I saw potential in this player and he could be an international player in the future. Well there you have it. He's been developing really well with us and I'm sure he'll be a key player for the national team as well." - Chavez, Wimbledon manager.
              Some less than good news: 16 year old Charlie Hopper (49 OVR) requested to be called up to the senior team and Chavez fulfilled his request. The young left back from England was a key player in the U-17 and was said to be a future star for Wimbledon, but unfortunately he has made a poor career decision and will most likely not make any appearances with the senior team.
              AFC Wimbledon's first match of April will be against FC Porto in the Champions League Quarter Final and will then visit Manchester United in the league. The Dons are still going for their second consecutive FA Cup title, and will face Southampton in the semifinal while Aston Villa takes on Manchester United.
              That's all for this month.
              Thanks for reading!
                Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
                Just started playing the Wimbledon career again and right away I was reminded why I had to take a break. It is so stressful now! So this happened:
                The story behind it is that the ball was crossed into the box very close to goal by Manchester United. My goalkeeper Adam Cowie jumps up and catches it. While he's still in the air, Nani jumps to head the ball but ends up literally pushing my goalkeeper into the net with the ball in his hands. I was sure that the ref would call a foul against Nani, but no the goal was allowed! United had zero shots on goal, I had 4 at this time. I had 69% possession, United had 31%. Needless to say, I quit the match. I have no problem with losing trust me, but when it's because of a goal like this? If the match is scripted then at least let me lose to a good goal don't slap me in the face like this, EA.
                Okay, vent over. Back to FIFA.
                  And I thought I have seen everything....until now lol I know ea wants the flow of the game to be fast pace but you can still have it fast pace but still call fouls like real soccer. If there is contact and the opponent clearly takes you down or bumps you off the ball and you go flying like im sure alot of you have witness that is a foul. Props to you I would have snapped my disc in half and sent it to ea after that
                    Press Conference
                    Welcome Mr Griffin, This month has been giving way better results, how do you think that happened?
                    Everyone individually stepped up, but aswell as a team, we got our act together, got into the game with a better gameplan and we are trying to fix our flaws bit by bit, and I think its working for us at the moment
                    The Cups aren’t going so well though, How do you think that happened?
                    Basel was just some bad defending on our part, We had no idea that this was there attacking plan and they surprised us, We fought back but it was to late, we have to strike back at home. For the Chelsea game I would rather not talk to much about, I don’t think that the Skrtel send of was rightful and that totally changed the game, we had no chance after that, trying to beat the good squad that Chelsea has.
                    The injuries are piling up, With lovren and Gerrard out already, Sturridge joins, that must be a blow.
                    It was yes, we lost key player in every line in the team, Lovren is a great defender, Steven is our captain ofcourse and also a key part of our midfield, we are trying to give as much youngsters playing time and its important for them that they have a key figure as steven in the team, And Daniel ofcourse is one of our best strikers at the moment, im not happy that we have to miss him, But Raheem and Mario filled in for him, and Rickie(Lambert) made some quality minutes from the bench. This was it, Thanks for coming.
                      Stocker 16', Calhanoglu 38'
                      Hertha BSC continued to strengthen their position as the best German team with a big victory against their biggest title challengers Bayern München. The home team didn't manage to get a single shot off at the Allianz Arena and they had only 32% of the possession. Hertha on the other hand had eleven shots of which eight were on target. The Berliners started the game offensively and they scored the first goal in the 16th minute after Valentin Stocker headed the ball in from a corner. Dante and Jerome Boateng failed in marking the shorter player in the box. Twenty minutes later Hakan Calhanoglu finalised the results with a curling free kick from the left side of the box.
                      In their next Champions League game Hertha played against Atletico Madrid who had gotten only a point from two games. This game was much more even than the two others the Berliners had player but they still came out on top with a good performance. Hakan Calhanoglu netted the first goal from Aguero's rebounded shot just ten minutes in the game. The next goal came from the away side right before half time after some nice passing which lead to Mandzukic going one-on-one. The tall striker then shot the ball to the bottom left corner with his left foot. The ex-Bayern striker then scored his second when Arda Turan crossed the ball from the left wing. The Croatian striker volleyed the ball to the top left corner to take the lead. Hertha answered only two minutes later with Sergio Aguero dribbling through the whole pitch before curling the ball in the net. About ten minutes later he scored the winner after a counter attack which ended in the superstar shooting the ball in the right corner.
                      Player of the Month
                      Hakan Calhanoglu
                      The young and really talented midfielder becomes the second player of the month of the season. He contributed to the team with goals and assists once again. He is really consistent and his lowest form is really high. Calhanoglu keeps improving and he is one of the most important players of the team.
                      Player of the Month
                      You continued your terrific form this month and you are now leading the league by eleven points. Does this mean Germany has gotten a new giant?
                      To be honest, in my opinion we became German giants last season when we won the double. Now we have just been better offensively and we have gotten more points. I'm really glad about the way we have improved from last season.
                      Sadly your win streak ended in the goalless draw against Köln. Did that annoy you?
                      Yes, a little bit. But I'm more proud than anything about our fifteen game win streak. Sadly it ended against a really weak team but we weren't on our best at all. We are still dominating the league and there is nothing to fear about. The fans will get the second Bundesliga title in May.
                      Was the game against Bayern the best game of the month?
                      Yes, I think so. We completely controlled the game and they weren't able to get a single shot with their star-filled squad. On top of that we had a lot more possession which is always good. They were really disappointing and they are seventh in the league. I think their manager will get fired soon.
                      You have received two international management offers from Colombia and Spain but you didn't accept them. Were you tempted?
                      I would lie if I said I wasn't. Both of those countries have really good national teams with a lot of great players and I was thinking about accepting an offer but at the end I decided that Hertha is more important. They are my love and I want to focus completely on them.
                      Thank you for reading this post! I hope you have enjoyed it! Any feedback or suggestions will be appreciated!
                        Lavery 4
                        Zayatte 8
                        Lavery 42
                        An absolutely awful result for us today. Lavery opened the scoring for Wednesday, curling into the top corner while on the turn. Zayatte then headed in from a corner after a bad judgement by the keeper. After Allsop saved May's penalty to keep us in the game, it was put to bed when a good passing move found Lavery to tuck away his second.
                        Match 25
                        Coventry 1-0 Charlton
                        Lukaku 23
                        Baines 84 (PEN)
                        Thomas 90
                        An incredible cup tie to begin the defence of our title began with Tudgay firing into the top corner from the edge of the box, one of the best goals of our season so far. Lukaku equalised for the Premier League side after a good passing move to fire into the bottom corner. The match then became an end to end affair, each side getting good chances and both trying to control the game. Everton took the lead late on when Baines slotted a penalty straight down the middle after McCarthy was bundled to the ground by Webster. It seemed as though we were going to be knocked out of the competition but Thomas, with a touch of class beat Baines and round Tim Howard to smash in beyond the defender positioned on the line to take the match to a replay.
                        League Cup Semi Final Leg 1
                        Stoke 0-1 Coventry
                        O'Brien 55
                        An incredible first result for us in the semi finals against the side we beat in the FA Cup final last season. We dominated the entire game, keeping them at bay and controlling possession. In fact, we finished the match with 61% of the possession and Stoke had had 0 shots to our 11, 8 on target. O'Brien got the only goal of the match, stroking the ball into the bottom corner across goal after a defence splitting pass.
                        Match 26
                        Burnley 1-1 Coventry
                        Ings 28
                        Agard 45
                        I wasn't expecting miracles in this match due to our relatively tired team, and it showed when Kightly raced away from Garbutt to whip in a cross that Ings headed in off the bar with tremendous power. Agard managed to grab us an equaliser, knocking the ball between 2 defenders and racing clear before curling into the top corner off the angle between post and bar. The rest of the match was spent defending, trying to keep the dominant Burnley at bay.
                        FA Cup Round 3 Replay
                        Coventry 3-2 Everton
                        Agard 19
                        Gibson 66
                        Nouble 69
                        Mirallas 72
                        Nouble 77
                        A brilliant result for us in this FA Cup replay. Agard gave us the lead after a good passing move ended up with him through on goal to curl pass the retiring Tim Howard in goal. Gibson equalised just after the hour mark with an incredible net busting volley into the top corner but straight from kick-off, Nouble raced clear to curl into the bottom corner. Mirallas equalised for Everton, hitting the bar with his original effort but heading in on the rebound. Nouble won the match, flicking the ball beyond the defender before absolutely battering the ball beyond the keeper.
                        Match 27
                        Coventry 2-0 Birmingham
                        Tudgay 45 (PEN)
                        Maddison 83
                        In this West Midlands derby, we took the lead on the stoke of half time when Miller was brought down with an awful challenge. Tudgay stepped up to take it, despite our best penalty taker being on the pitch, and smashed it into the top corner. Maddison made it 2 late on, curling into the bottom corner after a pass somehow found its way through the defence.
                        League Cup Semi Final Leg 2
                        Coventry 1-1 Stoke (2-1 agg)
                        Daniels 59
                        Sidwell 62
                        Through to the final. We took the lead just before the hour mark with a relatively scrappy goal. Agard hit the ball, it was saved and came out towards Daniels who hit it towards the empty net. Bouncing of the heel of the man on the line it found the goal just about. Sidwell grabbed an equaliser when a corner was only half cleared. The ball was whipped back into the box and Sidwell was there to stroke in, all alone at the far post. However, it wasn't enough for Stoke and we advance to the final to face Manchester United.
                        FA Cup Round 4
                        Gillingham 1-2 Coventry
                        Miller 28
                        McDonald 69 (PEN)
                        Miller 89
                        Miller gave us the lead in this match, cutting inside and smashing into the bottom corner. From then on it became a dull affair until the Gillingham attacker was brought down by Phillips for his second yellow card and a penalty. McDonald stepped up and converted. Fortunately, we found a winner late on after a ball in found Miller at the far post who squeezed it in from an incredibly tight angle.
                        24. Sheffield United 10
                        Can you explain your signings?
                        Yes of course. Firstly we brought in Gary Gardner for next season. He played for us on loan previously, but he was only around for a month. Obviously, I was not here at the time, however it was plain to see he had quality during his 4 game spell at the club. He also has Premier League experience, albeit limited and was a star in the youth Champions League tournament a few years ago. As an England U21 international, it shows that this kid will be big for us. We brought in 2 back up centre backs in Danny Gabbidon and Christophe Berra. They both have experience at Premier League level and have the football brain to help the current defenders in a way of tutoring. Danny was a bargain, yes at 36 he is getting on a bit but he still has the quality to play at this level. We decided to sign Chuba Akpom on loan as cover for our attackers and he was quality for us last season. This is his 3rd spell at the club and his second under me, so he knows the team well and can fit right in. Finally there was Diego Poyet on loan as cover for our midfield. He has plenty of experience at this level and possesses a football brain similar to his dad.
                        Why did you leave it so late? All of these players were signed on deadline day, some in the last hour.
                        I was very busy trying to sign my number one target, however money was an issue and the alternatives were to valuable to their teams.
                            November 2016
                            Champions League
                            Hertha BSC 0 - 1 Ajax
                            Viergever 32'
                            The first defeat Hertha suffered this season was surprisingly in the hands of Ajax in the Champions League. The Dutch side showed talent and they defended really well against the opposition. The only goal was scored by Nick Viergever in the 32nd minute when a cross was played in the box. The defensive midfielder then headed the ball at the near post past Kraft to secure to victory.
                            Hertha BSC 4 - 0 FC Augsburg
                            Stocker 21', Berardi 43', Wanyama 63', Teichgräber 76'
                            Bayer Leverkusen 0 - 0 Hertha BSC
                            A dull game which no one deserved to win. Both teams were bad as Hertha continued their inconsistent form.
                            Champions League
                            AC Milan 0 - 1 Hertha BSC
                            Gaya 43'
                            In the game between first and second of the group the leaders Hertha were victorious. Their strikers continued playing poorly but the left back Jose Gaya managed to score a winner. Few minutes before half time he sprinted in the box and then finished the ball in the bottom right corner.
                            Hertha BSC 4 - 3 Borussia Mönchengladbach
                            Aguero 23', 33', Calhanoglu 63', Ben Yedder 77'
                            Mlapa 47', 61', Kruse 75' pen
                            You don't see exciting seven-goal thrillers like this game too often. The two teams have formed a rivalry in Ganchev's era in Hertha's command and Mönchengladbach wanted to win the game. Hertha got a good start, though, with Sergio Aguero scoring twice in ten minutes. The first goal, which ended his five match long goalless streak, was scored when he run in the box and shot the ball to the near post. In the second goal he cut in from the right wing before curling the ball in the bottom left corner with the outside of his right foot. Borussia woke up in the second half and Peniel Mlapa pulled one back after the second half began. Andre Hahn played a low cross to the box and Mlapa finished it first time. About fifteen minutes later he equalised after he was left unmarked in the box and the ball was passed to him.Then Hakan Calhanoglu got the lead after scoring right from kickoff. The lead lasted about ten minutes because Max Kruse equalised the game with a penalty. The scoreline didn't stay like that for long again as Wissam Ben Yedder ran in the box from kickoff and he scored with a curled shot.
                            Player of the Month
                            Victor Wanyama
                            Hertha BSC had a poor month which didn't make it easy to pick someone who shined. After a lot of thinking it was decided that Wanyama was the player who had the best month. He defended and passed well.
                            Press Conference
                            You are leading now by 13 points. Do you think you have secured the title so early?
                            Yes, I do. We have such a big lead this early to the season and we aren't showing signs of slowing down. It's a shame that we didn't have any real competition.
                            There are still six months left in the season and everything can happen.
                            I know that really well but let's be honest with each other. Do you really think a team like Bayern will be able to climb to the top and win the title? The answer is no.
                            What do you think about your form this month?
                            I'm disappointed and angry about it. I don't know what happened but I think it's behind us now. The remaining season we will play well.
                            There have been a lot of new about Fabian Schär wanting to leave. Can you confirm them?
                            Yes, they are true. The whole club is sad about the situation and we have tried everything to keep him. It would be a real shame to lose such a great player but we will not beg him to stay. Like Indi Blue of West Brom, who I talk a lot with, I will not take sh*t from the players.
                              Alright, alright, alright! Third place, my boy! Well done to win some silverware and get two major wins over Chelsea (begrudging respect). Nice to see you beating the likes of Bayern as well, keep it up!
                                ...
                                22. Burnley - 14pts
                                23. Doncaster - 9pts
                                24. Bournemouth - 9pts
                                Sorry it took me so long to get back to posting on here but the World Series kept me really busy (GO GIANTS!). Anyways, as you can see it has been a rough going in the Championship this season for me even though I'm supposed to be contending for direct promotion. The good thing is I'm in a good position to make a move up the table with a playoff spot within 6 points and direct promotion within 9. I HAVE TO START WINNING THE EASY GAMES though. Getting only 2 points against Burnley and Doncaster, for example, is inexcusable. I also lost to the 20th placed team, again NOT GOOD. I have 10 games between now and the next update (end of JAN/transfer window) so we'll see how I'm doing then.
                                Speaking of the transfer window ... I'm broke yet again. After bringing in Sarr in the summer I used the rest of the funds towards the youth squad (see below) and I'm working with less than $200K in transfer budget when I split my budgets (transfer/wage) evenly. Colombian ST Luis Valencia (62 OVR) has not taken his demotion very well and the news started to report that he was unhappy. I offered him an extension and his agent communicated Valencia won't sign it so moving him may be the best way to go. His value is just over $400K though so that's not gonna make much of a difference. I am thinking of transfer listing one of my youngsters, Fabian Torres (CAM, 69 OVR) who is valued at $1.1 million and has really low stamina that prevents him from being more than a sub. I have a lot of midfielders getting ready in the academy so moving him wouldn't hurt too much.
                                As far as the academy is concerned our scouts came back from Greece, Sweden and Argentina and some additions have been made to our youth squad. Check it out:
                                • Memnos Zindilis (RW, 55-65 OVR, 79-93 POT)*: 16-year old from Greece who brings speed to the table. Coaches are still trying to determine whether he's a better fit as a wing midfielder or as a striker in our 4-4-2 diamond wide.
                                • Laurenco Vilna (CM, 61-65, 83-89): 16-year old from Brazil who projects as a CAM in our diamond midfield. He has a chance to crack our starting lineup if he stays in the academy all season.
                                • Raffaele Molinaro (CM, 59-63, 79-85): 16-year old from Italy described as technically gifted. If promoted right now he wouldn't be more than a role player but he could be a solid contributor next season if he stays in the academy this season.
                                • Jomar Sadami (RW, 58-62, 75-81): 16-year old from Ghana is starting to settle into his development. He projects as a wing midfielder in our scheme.
                                • Jorge Gavilan (DEF/MID, 32-40, 67-87)*: 16-year old from Argentina who we hope will become a LB since we don't have a true replacement for Ilesanmi at this time. We're also starting to develop a surplus in our midfield.
                                • Orester Senteildis (LW, 42-50, 69-81)*: 16-year old from Greece who isn't as advanced in his skill set as our other Greek prospect. He's still being evaluated.
                                • Magnus Gerndt (???, 42-50, 69-81)*: 15-year old prospect from Sweden who will probably be a LM or LW. Youngest player in the academy.
                                • David Antonio (CM, 54-58, 73-79): 16-year old from England who doesn't project as much more than a role player for us down the line.
                                • Brian Donaldson (CAM, 53-57, 73-79): 16-year old from England who is attack minded and could be utilized as a striker. Best suited to stay in the academy for now.
                                • Francisco Anibal (LM, 58-62, 72-76): 16-year old from Portugal who has spent a good amount of time in our academy, he could be a candidate to be called up sometime this season.
                                • Enric Tinlea (CM, 51-55, 71-75): 16-year old from Romania described as a playmaker even though he projects more as a bench player for us.
                                * Denotes recent addition to the academy.
                                6. Colombia - 14pts
                                10. Bolivia - 8pts
                                Losing back-to-back games against Ecuador and Colombia really hurt, especially against Ecuador because it seemed I was in control of that game. Shockingly I dominated Argentina out of all teams to remain in a good position in the standings but I can't take the food of the gas now with 8 games left. Argentina is the only team I've already played twice. For the friendlies I actually left the A-team off the roster and ran out the C-team vs Paraguay and the B-team in Athens ... that was an impressive victory to say the least. A guy I've been hesitant to call up for qualifiers because of his size (5'5"), Josmar (RW, 69 OVR), played very well in both games and may have earned himself a shot to be on the roster for future qualifiers.
                                And well, that's all for now
