He (and the other players) were walking down the street and I happened to be on that street. I saw the team and I was like "What do I do, this is so cool?!". I then walked to Kalou and asked him if I could take a picture with him. He said "sure" and boom!

    Yes, I was there.

      Introduction - Pg 986
      Pre Season - Pg 995
      Transfer Window/August - Pg 1005

      Birmingham City

      September Update

Capital One Cup - St Andrews, 2/9/14
      Birmingham City 1-0 Shrewsbury
      (Luongo 15')

Massimo Luongo's full debut started very well when he had a one two with Thomas to thread it passed the Shrewsbury keeper. Both teams had their chances after but didn't capitalise, nice result as we drew Ipswich Town in the third round. Rantie came off the bench for his debut.

      Championship - St Andrews, 6/9/14
      Birmingham 1-4 Bolton Wanderers
      (Novak (RC) 38', Gray 81')
      (Mooney 45+3' 55', Spearing 49', Beckford 90+4')

A red card to Lee Novak after he took the legs out from behind on the Bolton player saw our CAM for the match head to the locker room early. Mooney, Bolton's new striker scored minutes before half time when a shot was deflected off the post to hit Mooney on the chest where he controlled it in to make it 1-0. Spearing doubled the lead when a shot was parried by our backup keeper in Colin Doyle for Spearing to slide in and score. Mooney doubled his tally when he found himself 3 feet outside the box to nicely shoot it into the side netting. Subsitute Gray came on and scored as he passed 3 defenders to blast it into the bottom corner. However, that was only a consolation, with Bolton sub Beckford heading it near post passed Doyle from a corner to give Bolton the big win away. The Birmingham players were boo'ed off the field by the home crowd after this very poor performance.

      Championship - Carrow Road, 13/9/14
      Norwich City 0-2 Birmingham City
      (Thomas 23' 81')

Lacking confidence we changed the formation from a 4-1-2-1-2 narrow to a 3-4-3. We looked to defend and go on the counter. Norwich attacked from the start with our defence staying solid. We went on the break with young LB Hancox who was playing in a LWB role crossed it into a free running Thomas who headered it passed Ruddy to make it 1-0. Norwich contiued to attack with 1st choice keeper Randolph saving everything. We had parked the bus as Thomas tackled Martin to have a 1 on 1 with the keeper as he doubled his tally and our lead. We played extremely well and disiplined, especally after the home loss. Randolph had 13 saves in the match.

      Championship - St Andrews, 20/9/14
      Birmingham City 0-1 Nottingham Forest
      (Fryatt 90+1')

Going into this game with that great win we had our tails high and against bottom placed and pointless Nottingham Forest, we surely fancied ourselves. However, we struggled to break down Nottingham Forest struggling to get a shot on target. This cost us as subsitute Fryatt found himself open as he smashed it passed a inform Randolph in the fianl minutes of the game to give them a much needed win. As we suffered another home loss.

Capital One Cup - Portman Road, 24/9/14
      Ipswich 2-3 Birmingham City
      (McGoldrick 38' 84')
      (Gray 20', Rantie 43' 61')

Gray opened the scoring after a shot from Thomas was parried giving the 18 year old a open net. A cross from Ipswich saw McGoldrick powerfully volley the ball passed a defender and Randolph to level it. We gained the lead 5 minutes later when a blistering run down the wing by new striker Rantie as he cut in and scored, finding the far corner to give him his debut goal after not having the best of starts at Birmingham. He scored again after being threaded through as he finessed it into the back of the net. Poor defending gave McGoldrick his second but it wasn't enough as we play Fulham in the 4th round later next month.

Championship - John Smith Stadium, 27/9/14
      Huddersfield 0-2 Birmingham City
      (Thomas 49', Green 88')

We dominated possession in the first hlaf and got our reward 4 minutes into the second half when Thomas shot it at the keeper with it hitting the keepers hand and looping into the goals. Green finished the game off using his speed to have a 1 on 1 where he finessed it passed the keeper.

      Championship - St Andrews, 30/9/14
      Birmingham City 1-1 Leeds United
      (Thomas 54')
      (Bianchi 13')

Bianchi scored against the run of play after threading it passed Randolph on his near post where he was out to tighten the gap. Bianchi had a small gap where he passed the ball through to give the away team the lead. We attacked but couldn't break down Leeds back 4 until the 54th minute where Rantie threaded through a ball to Thomas who placed it nicely to make it 1 all and thats how the game finished.

      Managers Thoughts

After a horrendous result against Botlon at home I thought we had an okay month. It has been a bit up and down, with our cup and away form being great but our home form being below par. Changing our formation I think has worked and the players have adapted well to it. We'll be in the market for players who know how to play the 3 at the back formation but for now I'm happy. We have shown charater in a month with many tricky fixtures. I'm looking forward to what the team does in October.

      Player of the Month
      Darren Randolph

Our keeper in Randolph win our player of the month award after putting in some world class displays, especally against Norwich where he kept us in the game with 13 saves! he missed the first two games of the month being on international duties but when he came back he has kept two clean sheets and only conceded 4 with those goal being unstoppable to save. He was given the capatain's armband against Huddersfield when Robinson was having a break and was very vocal organising the backline. He truely deserves the player of the month.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

@Cabee Nice couple of young signings for now and I particularly like the Grigg Pre-contract! Good business Mr. Cabee. Results wise your month was great. Some high scoring games towards the end of the month which always adds excitement. If you win that game in hand you could even go top which would be incredible in your first season. Who says the Championship is a struggle?

@BiloxiSmitty Congrats! Great results against Barca and Real. Then you won most of the rest apart from the last day but I suppose you had the league already won.

@Indi The months were fairly good and the top 3 was up and down in terms of points gap. You beat most of the teams you should have (West Brom were the exception!!) The big games were a little disappointing but you did get a point off Chelsea, 4 from United and hammered Spurs so I suppose when you look at it they weren't too bad. If you can beat Chelsea next month you can cut the gap to just 1. Then hope for Chelsea to slip up and that you don't yourself! Good luck with April and May!

@Poulka Congrats on the league and Europa league triumphs!

@Jagger An up and down month with some solid victories and disappointing losses. Although you are 11th you are only 2 points off the play off places which isn't bad and it's early in the season yet!

          FIFA 15 | PS3 | Season 3 | 2016-17

          The Swans

          March 2017

          Mar 4th
          BPL
          Match 28
          Swansea 1-0 West Brom

          Ings 42'

          MotM: Danny Ings

A strong performance that deserved more than just 1 goal. That goal came courtesy of Danny Ings 3 minutes before halftime. Shelvey took a shot which was saved by English stopper Ben Foster. Fellow Englishman Ings was the only one alert to the rebound and comfortably headed it in. We dominated possession 60%-40% and only allowed them 1 shot on target. A good win in which we defended well and dominated the ball.

          Mar 11th
          BPL
          Match 29
          Swansea 0-3 Manchester City

          Benzema 38' (Pen)
          Koulibaly 66' (OG)
          Benzema 86'

          MotM: Joe Hart

The B team played again today with the 2nd leg against Bayern in the Champions League coming up in 3 days. They did not deserve to win 3-0 at all. City only had 2 shots on target whereas we had 8! Joe Hart was unbeatable with 9 saves including a penalty from Ki after Nastasic brought Graham down. It was another penalty that opened City's account. Shelvey brought down Benzema and he dispatched it with a stuttered run up. Koulibaly had an eventful game hitting the woodwork twice and scoring an own goal. Hart brilliantly tipped his second header onto the post denying him a rare goal. The own goal was very unfortunate. Fabianski saved Benzema's shot but it hit off Koulibaly, who was on the ground after trying to block the initial shot. Fabianski was unable, despite his best efforts in scrambling back, to prevent it crossing the line. The last goal was a delicate chip over Fabianski and there was nothing he could've done about it. I was very disappointed seeing as the team had so many more chances than City.

          Mar 14th
          Champions League
          Last 16, 2nd Leg

          Bayern Munich (2) 0-1 (4) Swansea

          Caulker 84' (Sigurdsson)

          MotM: Steven Caulker

Holding a 3-2 lead we headed to Germany hoping to keep a clean sheet and grab a goal if possible. We defended very well for the entire game. Bayern were reduced to a lot of long range efforts which either went wide or Scuffet saved comfortably. The only real save Scuffet had to make was from Lewandowski which he got down well to. Steven Caulker had a great game martialing the defence and he even scored his first goal for the club off a Sigurdsson delivery from the corner spot. He rose above Boateng, who didn't even get off the ground. The corner came off a decent Delph effort from the edge of the box. Both sides actually ended up with the same amount of shots on target (5) although most of ours came from counter attacks. I'm really happy that we have advanced to the quarter finals and knocked out Bayern, one of the favourites.

          Mar 25th
          BPL
          Match 30
          Newcastle 1-1 Swansea

          Graham 30' (Anderson)
          Chadli 75'

          MotM: Davide Santon

We went in at the break 1 up thanks to an Anderson corner that was headed in by Graham on the half hour mark. The Magpies had several good chances on their home turf but were unable to convert them into goals. The equalizer then came in the 75th minute. Santon picked up a cleared corner and played it back into Chadli who had drifted between Zouma and Koulibaly. He turned and struck it strongly past Fabianski. Ings missed a great chance to grab the points with the last kick of the game when he shot wide.

          Mar 28th
          Champions League
          Quarter Final, 1st Leg

          Roma 0-2 Swansea

          Benteke 24' (Sigurdsson)
          Benteke 87' (Sigurdsson)

          MotM: Simone Scuffet

We came away from the Stadio Olimpico with 2 away goals thanks to the combination of Benteke and Sigurdsson. The first goal came from a ball over the top that Benteke out muscled Castan for before sliding it past Lloris. The second came on the counter after we defended well for the entire match. This time Sigurdsson slid Benteke in along the ground and he took it to the side to make a better angle to shoot and score. Gervinho hit the post in the last minute with a header off a corner.

Adrian Centurion is out for 2 weeks with a Bruised Leg.

Swansea City Player of the Month

          Steven Caulker - CB, 78 (+1) Ovr, 25, England

The English central defender kept 2 clean sheets and got 1 goal in the 2 games the first team played. He provided solidarity in 2 big European games against giants in their respective countries, Bayern and Roma. Bayern are even giants in Europe but that didn't bother the 25 year old in the slightest and he proved that by climbing higher than a World Cup winner in Jerome Boateng to head home a corner kick. That was his first goal for the club and it was on the biggest stage in club football against one of the biggest teams in club football.

          Steven McManus - CB - 71 Ovr - 88-94 Pot - 17
The Scot can play as a CB or also a RB. The management also believe he could be played at CDM since his technical ability is very good while he has the mentality of a defender. The future looks bright for the 17 year old.

          MotM: Aiden McGeady

I lost the writeup and scorers for these so I'll try and do it from memory. Both of the goals against Norway were from corners swung in by McGeady. Finne got their goal after breaking the defensive line and finishing to the left hand side of the goal. 2 solid victories left us in 2nd place behind Belgium by 2 points and ahead of Turkey by 1 point. Italy have no chance of qualifying anymore with only 8 points and there is only 2 games remaining. It is effectively a 4 horse race with Norway only having a slight chance of getting through. If we were to draw 1 game their World Cup hopes would be over. Our 2 games are tough ones against Italy and Belgium.

          Next Month's Matches
          1/4 - Derby
          5/4 - Roma (Champions League)
          8/4 - West Ham
          15/4 - Aston Villa
          23/4 - Chelsea
          29/4 - Blackburn Rovers

Hopefully we can get 13 points out of these games and beat Roma.

          Thanks for reading!

            Esqueda 90'

            MotM: Jonjo Shelvey

The B team confidently dispatched a woeful Derby side who only have 5 points from 30 games. Shelvey showed his great dribbling skills and composure in his goal and then Keogh showed a lack of discipline getting himself sent off and giving us a penalty after diving in on Anderson. Ki cooly converted. Berahino impressed off the bench hitting the post with a volley and then immediately afterwards, when we kept the ball alive, Ki's blocked shot rolled to him and he rolled it past Petric. Esqueda took away our clean sheet in the last minute. Bertrand left Ward 10 yards behind him to receive a long free kick. He brought it into the box and Esqueda touched it round a motionless Zouma before tapping it past Fabianski.

            MotM: Christian Benteke

We held a 2 goal lead with them both being away goals so things looked good going into this game. But the match started badly with Roma clawing back the 2 away goals by the end of the first half. Redmond's easily saved close range shot was our only real chance of the 45 minutes. We started better in the second half with Stambouli having an early chance. Then Benteke struck the post on 63 minutes. Only 10 minutes later Sigurdsson had got us a goal and put us through on aggregate. He skipped past Manolas' challenge and Castan was unable to catch him before he had it in the net. Sigurdsson then won a penalty off Nainggolan that seemed fairly harsh. It followed a rapid counter attack from Bernat who had one-two'd his way up the left hand side of the field before taking a shot. Sigurdsson retrieved it ahead of Nainggolan and then brought it into the area where he was fouled. Benteke cleared the uncertainty of the last few seconds by converting the penalty and securing our semi final place.

            Morrison 69'

            MotM: Ki Sung-Yeung

A good victory but again we left in a soft goal when we should have ended the game with a clean sheet. Benteke continued his form with 2 goals. The first came after a pull back from Richards and he struck it in off the post with a first time finish. The second was a penalty after he himself was brought down by Cresswell. He came off then for Berahino, his job was done. Ki made it 3-0 again from the spot after Graham was tackled late by Rossi. We let Morrison through straight from kick off however and lost our clean sheet. AGAIN.

            Ings 28' (Ki)
            Kozak 73'

            MotM: Danny Ings

Youth product Steven McManus was given his first start with the B team. He was put into Central Defensive Midfield even though he is a CB/RB. He has really good ball skills to go with his defensive abilities. (Also he has a Finishing stat of 70!) We dominated the ball for the game and scored 2 good goals through Ings. We threw away another clean sheet when we allowed Sylla to pass it across for Kozak to tap in. McManus had a good game and was involved in the second goal.

            Sigurdsson 42' (Benteke)

            Romulo 90'
            Sigurdsson 90' (Benteke)

            MotM: Christian Benteke

What a thriller. 8 goals, a hat trick for Sigurdsson, 4 assists for Benteke, a stunning free kick from Tevez and 2 90th minute goals. Redmond got his first goal of the season poking in a perfect through ball from Benteke that took Bonucci out of the game. Tevez equalized putting away a ball that broke inside the area. Sigurdsson had us back in front shooting across Courtois to end the half with us in the lead. Marchisio headed in at the front post before Tevez stuck a 30+ yard free kick into the top corner. Scuffet got hands to it but was unable to prevent the Argentine's effort. Sigurdsson notched up a second before Romulo looked to have sealed the victory for Juventus with a last minute winner. We went straight up the field from kick off and unbelievably we managed to score. We have now got 4 away goals going into the 2nd leg in Wales.

            MotM: Christian Benteke

Wilfried Bony faced us again and despite our best efforts got on the score sheet. Benteke headed a bullet past Cech from an Anderson corner to equalize but then a Schürrle free kick flew into the top corner from 25 yards to give Chelsea the win.

            Tevez 21'
            Marchisio 53'

            Berardi 90'

            MotM: Llorente

We went crashing out of the Champions with this home 4-1 defeat and an 8-5 scoreline on aggregate. Things looked good when Sigurdsson was put through to score his 4th goal of the tie by a Benteke chip over the top. Tevez responded with his 10th goal of the competition when he was given too much space to shoot from the edge of the box. The half ended 1-1 with Centurion missing a great chance to make it 2-1 in our favour. Pogba had his shot turned onto the post by Scuffet just before Juventus struck again. Marchisio gave them the lead in both this game and on aggregate. He managed to squeeze the ball under Scuffet after getting played in behind the defence. Llorente then headed in a cross after jumping higher than Amat. Berardi added insult to the defeat being played through as we pushed men forward. He had the composure and cheek to chip it over the out rushing Scuffet and end a terrible night along with our Champions League glory hopes. It has been a good run however in our first season in the competition.

Ings went off early with a sprained knee so he was replaced by Berahino. The Englishman missed 2 glorious chances in the first half that he really should have slotted away. He did win the penalty however stealing the ball from Robinson who then took him out while diving for the ball. Ki put the spot kick away confidently and secured the 3 points as we finished the game strongly.

Danny Ings is out for 3 weeks while recovering from a Sprained Knee.

Swansea City Player of the Month

            Christian Benteke - ST, 82 (+1) Ovr, 26, Belgium

The Belgian international was outstanding this month in his link up play with Sigurdsson. He was involved in 10 goals scoring 4 and assisting 6, including all 5 against Juventus. He has finally started to show why he was bought and is forming a deadly understanding with Gylfi Sigurdsson behind him.

              Hertha Berlin 1-1 VfB Stuttgart

              43' Baumjohann (Hegeler)
              58' Drmic (Böetius)

We started March against Hertha Berlin at home. Last time we faced them, they were top of the league, quite different from their current place. First half was rather tense, yet neither team had no good chances. However, when Berlin got on attack, their good passing play opened us up and Hegeler found Baumjohann open in the box, who smashed it in.

Second half, I told the boys to be more agressive, and it paid off. The substitute player, Böetius, got the ball to Drmic, who took a good step past the center backs and put it in the bottom corner. We were back in it, and we tried scoring, yet it didn't happen.

Then, we got on a great counter, where Leitner got taken down in the box by Beerens. Maxim went up to take it, but it got saved by Kraft. They got a counter from that and Beerens managed to hit the post. That was the end of the game - a 1-1 draw for us.

              Matchday 25
              Bayer 04 1-2 VfB Stuttgart

              23' Herrmann (Leitner)
              30' Kiessling (PEN)
              89' Gentner (Leitner)

So after the poor game against Berlin, we went against Bayer 04, the team right ahead of us in the league. The second versus third, a game that was bound to be intense.

And it was, with both teams going wild and making moves. Both goalkeepers were doing terrific, yet when Herrmann got the ball, he showed some great skill to get into the box and put it right in the net. Yet a few minutes later, Leverkusen earned a penalty, as Ulreich went to clear the ball, but hit Bellarabi right in the face. Kiessling stepped up and tied the game up - a strong shot straight down the middle.

Second half was rather dull, as we tried to attack and Bayer was staying back, trying to not make mistakes and catch us on the counter, which luckily did not happen. Then, in the final minutes, we earned a corner. Leno cleared the ball from the box, which fell to Leitner. Leitner then passed it to Gentner, who took a quick turn past the defender and smashed it in! We had taken the win in the final minutes, a 2-1 victory, which obviously makes our life in the league a lot easier.

              Bundesliga
              Matchday 26
              VfB Stuttgart 0-0 Eintracht Frankfurt

I thought long and hard on what to write, but to be honest, I don't think there is anything to write. The game was quite dull, our only chance came when Maxim hit a volley that Kraft saved well. Other then that, the game was a disappointment. I was hoping to get another 3 points to not fall too behind from Bayern, but it didn't happen.

I guess the only positive to take from the game was that the youngsters Böetius, Werner and Stark played well, that is about it.

              MOTM: Jean-Paul Böetius

              Man of the month

              Jean-Paul Böetius

So, I was wondering who to pick, but then I realised that I might aswell take the player who looked good in all three games, even if he came off the bench on two of those. I hope Böetius will be big for us next season, yet when I look at our wings and considering that we have 2 wingers on loan, it is going to be a fight for it.

              League Table

              My Thoughts

Well, I think it is safe to say that the league is done and dusted. Five points ahead and two games less played, I think Bayern are going to win it, unless there is a miracle and we can perform well in all of our remaining games. Still, finishing even in the top 6 is fantastic for me, since the whole idea for this season was to establish the team and be successful. I was aiming for the top half finish, but not top of the top half.

The win against Bayer was crucial though, as it gives us a bit of breathing room, yet they still have a game in hand. I guess we will have to see how April and May go.

I hope you enjoyed it, take care!

Nice couple of young signings for now and I particularly like the Grigg Pre-contract! Good business Mr. Cabee. Results wise your month was great. Some high scoring games towards the end of the month which always adds excitement. If you win that game in hand you could even go top which would be incredible in your first season. Who says the Championship is a struggle?
Thank you! I always try and squeeze my budget dry but also get good deals for a cut price and I certainly did this time!

I'm really looking forward to seeing how Grigg plays due to the fact that mostly all of my strikers have become forces to be reckoned with throughout this CM!

I seriously thought that I would be having difficulties throughout the Championship but the squad's been amazing and have been playing really well as a unit. Premier League dreams are getting closer!

                    The Wednesday

                    April 2017

Liverpool held us to a 1-1 draw at home, but we came back by thumping Hull City 3-0 away. The away game at QPR was a boring 0-0, and Chelsea beat us 2-0 at home to more or less secure the title. Aston Villa added to our misery by beating us 1-0, the only goal coming in the seventh minute of the match before they shut shop.

                    May 2017

Despite a comfortable 1-0 win at home against Newcastle, Chelsea had already secured the title. We lost 2-0 to Southampton and Everton to finish the season on a bad not, though not as poorly as we did last campaign. Chelsea won the title with 95 points, matching the record they set back in the 2004/05 season. We just barely got into Champions League with 75 points, the three points against Newcastle ultimately proving so crucial.

                    Press Conference

What's your reaction to the last few results? You were lucky to just get across the line.

I think 'lucky' is quite a strong word that implies an absence of effort and skill, which we certainly had throughout the season. There's no doubt that we have to work on ending seasons well, but I think we did alright. That said, the win against Newcastle did prove to be absolutely vital in securing our top-four finish. It's more than we expected at the start of the season, and despite considering ourselves title contenders for parts of the campaign, we can say that it's a fine finish. My players and staff deserve all the credit.

How about the season as a whole? Can you call it a success?

How can we not? A club of our relatively limited resources has no business challenging the status quo, or so they would have you believe. I think the project at this club speaks for itself. We've developed players instead of spending large sums on the final product, and it's paid off. Credit has to go to the previous chairman for laying down a strong foundation and to Mr. Chansiri for ensuring that continuity while bringing his own ideas to the table.

You were in the running for the title until April. What happened?

Look at the strength of this Chelsea team. They earned 95 points in the league, picked up the FA Cup a week after their final game, and secured the club's first treble with a 3-0 win over Bayern in the Champions League final. That's three straight European titles for them, which is unprecedented in the modern era. We fell back while they picked up 24 points from their last eight games. That says it all.

The league's top scorer and best playmaker are both from your side. Is this a big moment?

It's a nice feeling for me to see my players rewarded for their hard work, and I'm sure Stevie and Gary will be pleased to pick up these awards. But at the end of the day, everyone at this club is primarily interested in collective success. For us, qualifying for European competition is a much bigger reward than any sort of individual honour.

Where does Wednesday go from here?

We get to test ourselves in European football's finest competition, and though the added fixtures might worry some teams, we have already made plans to deal with the increased workload. In the league, we recognise that both Chelsea and Spurs are in the midst of teams hitting their peaks at the same time. We'd like another top-four finish, but we'll be looking to end the season strongly this time.

Any plans for the transfer market?

Yes, of course. We're going to try and strengthen our team. There's no doubt that some of Europe's biggest clubs are going to be after some of our players, so should we have any departures, we will bring in adequate replacements. Playing in the Champions League means that we can entice a new level of player to our club, and we'll also have the financial means to sign them.

                    2017 Summer Preview

                    Transfers: £24,000,000
                    Wages: £120,000

Sam Hutchinson has been listed for transfer and Eric Riera Canadell for loan. Targets include a replacement at CAM for Gary Mackay-Steven, a physically gifted impact winger, and a midfield partner for Delph. We will not look to make Weiser or Rabiot's loan moves permanent, nor will we sell any of our best players to domestic clubs outside the traditional big four (Chelsea, Manchester Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal). Other needs will be filled as they present themselves.

@keanu thanks it means a lot. A lot of effort has been put into this team. We are building through the academy only and it has been a process. We have only six original players left. But now the REAL work begins, in our first BPL match West Ham completely dominated us 5-3 with our top team. So we have to get our act together. My main problem has been trying to keep players in the academy for one or two May updates. I would like to get players to stay in through two updates if they sign as 15 year olds, but sometimes it is hard to get them to stay through just one.

Quick update to what I'll call my American Super League. I put all North and South American teams into the English Leagues and am playing as Seattle in League 1.

Through 9 games in the League, I'm currently in 3rd with 18 points. After we won the opener 3-1 over New England, I hit a rough patch. Three draws followed by a 1-0 loss to Toronto FC. The board expects me to gain automatic promotion and I'd hate to get fired from my favorite team, so I was nervous. Since then, though I've won 4 straight over Tijuana, Chicago, Sarandi, and NYCFC. The crazy thing is, every one of those games have been decided by stoppage time winners. Obafemi Martins scored the winners in the first two and assisted on the winners in the other 2. Dempsey's second in the Golden Boot race with 7 goals, behind Giovinco of Toronto with 8. Martin is tied John Kennedy Hurtado of Vancouver for the lead in assists with 4. I also won my first two Capital One Cup games and have a tough game against Santa Fe in the third round. I drew Real Salt Lake in round 2 of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

Colo-Colo currently leads the Premier League through 5 rounds, with Boca Juniors in 2nd, and America in 3rd. UNAM and Deportivo Cali are tied atop the Championship with Pachuca in 3rd through 6 games. Sporting KC are the highest ranked MLS team at 6th in the Championship. Real Salt Lake lead League 1, followed by Atlas, and my Sounders in 3rd. And Deportes Tolima lead League 2, with La Plata in 2nd, and Envigado in 3rd.

This has been a blast. One, it's fun to play with a team that I'm familiar with. Two, every game's been close. The gap between the best teams and the worst teams across all 4 leagues isn't nearly what it would be with the English teams in. So I'm excited to progress in this thing and see what happens.
