My favorite way to create chances is the "skiller winger" way, as you play the ball to the winger, use some skill to get past the defender, and then it opens a whole lot of doors for you. Either you go on a skill run, pass it to somebody, cross it to the back (or front) post, anything. I also like what cabee said about looking for the forward pass.

I don't know how new you are to football in general, but one of the best ways of creating chances is switchings sides of the play, so moving the ball from one end to the other is always a great way to find a new point of attack.
To you and cabee thanks for both of y'alls help. I feel like I'm starting to get a better hang of the game. I moved up to a 69 overall and the NE Revolution put me out on loan to Hamilton Academical FC. I'm a few matches into the season and we're sitting 8th in the Scottish Premiership. I am still a little confused about creating chances (sorry I know this is kind of basic stuff). In one match I passed it up to the striker who took a shot on goal and scored but it didn't go down as creating a chance. Then the next game I was out wide, crossed it into the box, and one of my other mids headed it toward goal but missed and that went down as a chance created. I'm supposed to create like 20 or 30 throughout the season so I'm just trying to set myself up so I can at least create a chance or two a match.

Again thanks for y'alls help. I appreciate it.

      No problem.

Creating a chance pretty much means a pass that leads to a shot. A pass that leads to a goal is an assist (maybe they're the same thing? I'm not too sure.). Don't worry, you'll end up smashing that '20 or 30 chances created' expectation. Just look for a foward pass and be agressive on the attack. The less you think about it, the more you'll get is what I always notice.

It happens to all of us mate no big deal. We all have matches where we just can't buy a chance to save our lives(I'll pick on moose as an example) Moose had a brutal game against Barcelona in the Champions League R16(correct me if I'm wrong) where he just could not score or get a decent chance to save his life. Or if you go back to my early Betis posts back on like pg 950-1000 you'll see that I had numerous matches where the game ended 0-0 or 1-0 defeats. Doesn't matter how good you are at the game, even the best players have games where nothing goes right.

Hell yeah, this is what I'm talking about! By the way, how will you decide the winner of the entire thing? Will it be the person with most gameweek wins?

I can swap anyone with anyone, right? If that's the case I'd like to swap Winston Reid with Martin Skrtel or Mamadou Sakho depending on who is in the starting XI (I'm too lazy to check the original post from a few days ago). If both of them are starters I'll go with Skrtel.

How do you guys do this fantasy stuff?!?! There's a reason I don't do this stuff. Because I have shotty luck with this stuff. In every fantasy league I've ever played in, I've never won a single game. I stopped playing them 3 years ago because I have terrible luck with these things.

The winner will have the most points from every gameweek added up. Next set of matches will have a 'Gameweek total' and a 'Grand total' so if you get 37 points next gameweek, you'll have 100 points overall. Whoever has the most overall points is what i'm trying to say.

Haha! You literally have to thank the real Yaya Toure for how many points he gave you this gameweek! He's up against Chelsea next so might be a little more difficult.

Well if you asked for Kozak to be swapped for Aguero then I'd probably say no. Try to keep to your budget but your request was perfectly acceptable. Both are in the starting 11 so I'll just say:

Winston Reid (WHU, 5.0) --> Martin Skrtel (LIV, 5.0)

You have one free transfer each gameweek so that's that used up for the first gameweek.

Haha! It's mostly luck. If you have bad luck naturally, you'll have a difficult time playing fantasy football! It doesn't stop me from trying to beat my mates in a little league we usually put together. You get better with practice though! I used to be awful but I finished around the 100,000 mark out of 3 and a half million people last season (that's still pretty awful though!).

11 clean sheets kept by Golden Glove winner Costel Pantilimon. Wall.

3 red cards accrued by Ashley Williams of Swansea, more than anyone else. Temper.

                      A League of Their Own

Connor Wickham: 12 goals, 9 assists in 30 appearances

Duncan Watmore: 5 goals, 1 assist in 17 appearances

                      Around the Grounds

Norwich City, Derby County and Watford have been promoted to the 2015-16 Barclays Premier League season.

PSG, Bayern Munich, Juventus, PSV, Benfica, Zenit, Barcelona and Besiktas are champions of their respective leagues.

Chelsea are Capital One Cup winners with a 3-1 win over Arsenal in the final at Wembley.

Manchester City are FA Cup winners with a 2-1 win over Arsenal in the final at Wembley.

Barcelona are Champions League winners with a 3-0 win over Bayern Munich in the final at the Olympiastadion.

Juventus are Europa League winners with a 2-1 win over Manchester City in the final at the Amsterdam ArenA.

                      In a Nutshell

Manchester United led the league for much of the season, though Chelsea almost caught up, and made the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Eden Hazard scored 27 times in all competitions as Chelsea won the Capital One Cup but lost to Bayern in the Champions League semi-final. Spurs started the season poorly, sitting just above the relegation spots in August and September before a turnaround in form during the winter. Manchester City were in mid-table for much of 2014, but the £29 million purchase of Arturo Vidal changed the course of their season.

Liverpool's campaign can be termed a let-down, if not a failure. They started 2015 as title contenders but failed to handle the run-in. Sunderland achieved far more than they bargained for, relying on organisation over talent to finish sixth and qualify for the Europa League. Arsenal flirted with relegation for most of the season until signing Edin Dzeko, whose goals in 2015 saw them win 11 of their last 13 games. Stoke City had moments in the top four but never looked like finishing there. Strong team performances earned them a best-ever finish of eighth.

Everton remained in the top half throughout the season, with a long-term injury to Romelu Lukaku hampering their chances of greater success. QPR surprised everyone by not getting relegated. Charlie Austin netted 19 times in the league, firing the R's to a top-half finish that few expected. West Brom were in the top four as late as January, but Saido Berahino's goals dried up thereafter. Six losses in their last eight cost them dearly. West Ham were certain relegation fodder until March, when Andy Carroll and Mark Noble returned from injury to help the Hammers stay up.

Swansea City were also in danger of relegation for much of the season, but shrewd signings in January saw them rocket up the table. Southampton, yet another team that were in danger of going down after so much hard work, relied on Jay Rodriguez's 14 goals to save them. Crystal Palace had a brilliant start to the season, but Yannick Bolasie was unable to maintain his early form. Mile Jedinak remains injured (ACL). Newcastle United just managed to stay afloat after foolishly selling Tim Krul on deadline day in January and failing to bring in a replacement.

Aston Villa were almost assured of a top-half finish until Christian Benteke's goals dried up, costing them many points during the final months. Hull City spent all season in the relegation zone. January was full of panic buys such as the £1 million signing of Danny Graham from Sunderland. Burnley displayed all the hallmarks of a team playing out of its depth. Danny Ings impressed with 13 goals and will surely be a target for many. Leicester City failed to impress one iota. Not a single player scored more than five goals, and Esteban Cambiasso was oddly kept to the bench.

                      Inside Sunderland

We started the season very brightly in a 4-4-2. Jermain Defoe and Connor Wickham struck up a fruitful partnership up top, Jack Rodwell and Lee Cattermole provided cover in midfield, Adam Johnson and Emanuele Giaccherini patrolled the flanks with Billy Jones and Patrick van Aanholt, and Wes Brown and John O'Shea formed a brick wall ahead of the sublime Costel Pantilimon. There was no room for squad rotation, such was the form of my first-choice team.

But by mid-November, I had started to question whether Lee Cattermole was holding us back. A four-game win streak in December that coincided with an ankle injury to Cattermole confirmed this. Our club captain, while inspiring and fearsome, was simply not up to the mark in terms of technique and ability. On top of that, his deputy Liam Bridcutt was by now superior to him in all regards except marking and aggression. I dropped Cattermole to the reserves and changed shape to 4-3-2-1, putting Rodwell in between Giaccherini and Sebastian Larsson in midfield, and asking Johnson and Defoe to play off Connor Wickham up top.

Johnson himself was out of sorts by the time 2015 came around, and though he did himself justice to win his spot back by the end of the season, he was essentially a passenger in our 5-1 drubbing of Hull City. For our trip to Morecambe in the FA Cup, I decided to rest Johnson and try out the young Duncan Watmore. Rated just 60 OVR but with searing pace and modest dribbling stats, he slotted in as a forward and tore the League Two side to bits, scoring once and assisting twice. I was so impressed that I put him in to start against Spurs a few days later, and though we lost 3-0, he performed better than anyone else in the team.

Watmore kept his spot at LF for the rest of the season. He assisted Steven Fletcher against Liverpool and was named man of the match with a 9.1 rating, and retained his good form throughout February after scoring both goals in our 2-0 win at Swansea City. Away goals against Manchester United, Everton and Chelsea earned him the 'showing great potential' tag.

We finished the season far less impressively than how we started it. Several draws cost us valuable points that forced us out of contention for a Champions League spot, and while there were positives to take from our 3-1 loss at Chelsea, I absolutely despise losing the first and last games of the season. What does please me is doing the double over Newcastle United, including that thrilling 3-2 win at home which saw Defoe kill off his 11-game scoring drought as well as a late winner from Will Buckley.

As a reward for his sensational performances and to recognise his newfound potential, Watmore has been promoted to the first team. Along with this comes a four-year contract that will net him £25,000 per week as opposed to his trainee salary of £2,250. His position in the first team is under no threat going into the 2015-16 season, though with the added workload of the Europa League and the need to manage his game time, I do plan on ensuring adequate cover for him.

In terms of transfers, we have a very clear idea of which players we want to sell and which ones we want to buy. Lee Cattermole, Steven Fletcher, Santiago Vergini, Sebastian Larsson and Emanuele Giaccherini have been listed for transfer. Cattermole is a decent player but lacks the panache to play for my team, Fletcher is rated highly but doesn't seem to fit with our style of play, Vergini has been far too clumsy when he's been given game time, Larsson has been asking for a move since April, and Giaccherini is being sold for business reasons.

Adam Johnson has not fully impressed since winning his spot back and will have until the end of August to reclaim a stake for his place in the squad, while Costel Pantilimon and Connor Wickham are not for sale at any price after their consistently stellar performances. Loan moves may be considered for Will Buckley and Jordi Gomez, both of whom have been brought up from £7,000 to £10,000 per week, but only if they express a desire to play more often.

Our targets are clearly defined, and while I'm not prepared to give out any names, I will divulge some information. Our first target is an ambitious one, a young but promising English centre half plying his trade with a club from the northwest of England, who has expressed a desire to move clubs in the summer after rejecting a new contract. Next on the list is a quick, agile forward who scored plenty of goals in the Premier League but was let down by his team failing to match his performances. Our third target is a Scandinavian midfielder with sensational vision, a fantastic range of passing, two good feet, and a free kick to match the best. He recently left a lucrative career with a Russian club to return home and deal with medical issues, and is now ready to return to elite football after treatment.

Targets numbers four and five are both British and currently play for a top Scottish club, one of them having moved recently from a domestic rival. One is a defender and the other an attack-minded midfielder. The sixth name on our list is a young English full back in the Championship, strong and quick with enough height to perform at centre back if needed. The last target, a centre half from Spain, plays for one of Italy's biggest clubs after being promoted from the academy over the summer. He's a fairly unknown quantity, so we want to act quickly before other clubs pick up on him. Additionally, we have agreed a pre-contract with an African player who is primarily an all-action midfielder. We will be his first club after leaving the side he joined as a youth player.

Any additional transfer will be subject to unplanned or unexpected departures, or a member of the first team failing to impress me by August.

                        My Thoughts:
I was really dissapointed to go out of the cup in a game in which I played so well as well. The midfield trio of Ødegaard, Hauge & Hou Saeter bossed the game and look like real stars of the future. League form has been a bit up and down at the moment which is why I am now second, 2 points off Molde who have only lost a game all season and with them coming up it looks like it is going to be a title decider with anything less than a win not good enough.
Helmersen is looking like he is going to be a top striker. Currently the leagues top goal scorer with 16 goals and still at only 17 he is going to improve greatly.

                            CD Tenerife 1-1 Sporting Gijón

                            9' Carmona

                            20' Ricardo

Man of the Match: Carlos Carmona (7.1)

Álvarez' inch perfect ball in between the Tenerife left back and centre back set Carmona away and the Spanish winger tucked the ball into the left bottom corner. 10 minutes later though Tenerife won the ball back near our box and got a little bit of luck when it broke kindly for Ifrán who played it to Ricardo on the edge of the box. His strike went in off the post to level the game. We had some excellent chances to win it, including a trio of corners which Jacobo saved confidently.

                            Match 15

                            Sporting Gijón 1-2 Girona CF

                            19' López

                            24' Jandro

                            39' Cifuentes

Man of the Match: Sergio Álvarez (6.9)

Unbelievably after 8 shots on target for Keano's team, compared to 3 for Girona, the away side still managed to beat them. 19 minutes in, a move involving all of the 3 forwards ended with Isma López striking past Isaac Becerra after a Carmona pass. 2 defensive lapses cost Gijón however. The first of which was when Hernández was miles away from Gerard in the box allowing him to pick out Jandro for a first time finish. The second was down to Hernández again. He stepped out, leaving a lot of space for Gerard to run onto a through ball and pass to Cifuentes for another first time finish. Gijón had a couple of chances to equalize but ultimately faltered to yet another loss.

                            Match 15

                            Real Zaragoza 0-2 Sporting Gijón

                            4' López

                            87' Guerrero

Man of the Match: Carlos Carmona (8.1)

Keano made a big call before the game, dropping captain and centre half Ivan Hernández and bringing in midfielder Pablo Pérez. Pérez would take Mandi's CDM position while the natural centre half took Hernández' vacant slot. Nacho Cases wore the armband. The changes seemed to work and Sporting came out the blocks fast with Isma López scoring for the second consecutive game. Sandro intercepted Rico's pass and played it to Álvarez. The midfielder passed it first time catching Mario and Cabrera unaware. López had timed his run perfectly and slotted the ball under Alcolea from a tight angle. The Sporting defence kept Zaragoza's shots to a minimum and substitute Guerrero sealed the game 3 minutes from time. Carmona was set free down the right on the counter attack. The winger sped away from Pedro and Rico before cutting into the box. He sent a low cross to where an outstretched Guerrero was sliding. The little Spaniard finished the move, which he had helped to start, and notched his 3rd goal of the season.

                            Match 16

Sporting Gijón 3-0 UD Las Palmas

                            33' Sandro

                            72' Sandro

                            77' Sandro

Man of the Match: Sandro Ramirez (9.6)

It was another dominant display as Keano's team finally looks as if it's coming together. The main man in that team today was Sandro as he gave the Las Palmas defence the run around. For his first goal he took the ball around the sliding tackle of a defender before taking a shot. Casto saved the finesse shot but the rebound fell to the Gijón man to poke over the keeper. His second goal was something similar, expect this time there was a scramble for the rebound. Sandro came out on top though to make the score 2-0. The hat trick was completed 5 minutes later when a heavy touch from the Las Palmas defender allowed Sandro to nip in and speed towards goal. This time no rebound was needed as the former Barcelona man smashed the ball across Casto and into the far corner. The win sees Gijón move up into 12th.

                            Match 17

                            CA Osasuna 0-1 Sporting Gijón

                            32' Sandro

Man of the Match: Pablo Pérez (7.3)

It's now two wins from two against Chavez' Osasuna this season. That man Sandro took his tally to 4 goals in two games and Cuéllar also kept his 3rd consecutive clean sheet. Sandro picked the ball up at the midfield centre circle from Pérez before proceeding to run at J. Flaño and Oumari. He got around them easily and made his way into the box. Flaño's sliding tackle actually took out his own teammate leaving Sandro 1v1 with M. Flaño. He did a ball roll to create some space and then smashed it past Osasuna keeper Santamaría. Sandro had another great chance on 53 minutes after using a fake shot to make room for a shot. The left footed attempt however went inches wide. The win draws Gijón level with 11th placed Deportivo Alavés and just a point behind RC Recreativo who occupy 10th.

Sporting Gijón Player of the Month

                            Carlos Carmona - RM, 69 (+2) Ovr, 27, Spain

For the second consecutive month Carmona is the POTM for Sporting Gijón. The right winger assisted 3 goals this month while also scoring once and being MOTM twice. He is playing with extreme confidence at the minute.

Pablo Vazquez - MID/DEF (Spain) (38-50, 72-94, 16) Unknown: Pablo is the 2nd addition to the Sporting Gijón academy and his best attributes at the moment are his defensive skills. At only 5'8" though, we hope he doesn't decide to be a centre half, unless he grows. He has the potential to settle at central midfield and could be an great asset going forward for Keano and his team.

Victor Manuel - ? (Spain) (44-54, 75-93, 16) Unknown: The youth staff are saying that this young Spaniard has the right qualities to be a central midfielder but with an attacking mindset. A deep lying attacking midfielder if you will. The little 5'7" left footer has great potential.

A quick note. CA Osasuna offered me their manager's job after the game against them. They were first at the start of the month but now sit 7th and outside the playoff spots. Needless to say I've declined it. There is a big fixture coming up in the Copa Del Rey. It's none other than the Catalan giants Barcelona. 2 legs in the Round of 32 is what awaits us. I didn't realize it was so soon after the Osasuna game so not everyone is at full strength. Nothing we can do about that now though so we will just have to do our best. I may switch to a more conservative formation and try to hit them on the counter attack. We won't be expecting any miracles though.

                            Thanks for Reading!

Correct me if I'm wrong but you haven't played Betis yet have you?

Press conference for Mr Campbell, the Swansea Manager ahead of the first game of the season.

Q: What are your aims for the forthcoming season?
A: The board has set us the task of qualifying for a Euro League place. I believe in the board and want to aim high this season. But I also want to establish a style of playing that can carry us forward for seasons to come. Constistency is my biggest aim for this year.

Q: Are there any players you sre expecting to be your big names this season?
A: Well, we have Michu back and are hoping he can find his form again. And with the choice of strikers we have at the moment, we hope they can work well together a be a real driving force upfront. Our new signing Ayew is a big deal for us, showing everyone that we mean business in this league. If he can get off to a good start, I believe he can have a great season. Anf with Williams as out captain at the back, we are hoping to be a tough team to break down.

Q: Final question, you are beginning the season against Manchester United. How do you feel about facing a big team so early on?
A: For my first game in charge, this is by no means an easy match. But this will allow us to begin strong and put up a fight in our first game. This will really set the standard for the season. But no matter the score, what I want to see from my team is committment and passion that can drive us forward this season.

                              Thanks for reading.

                                My Thoughts
These first few games were tough. In the first two games, I managed to score but not hold onto the lead, and then lose the match. By the third game, I decided to try and score and then play defensively and with possession of the ball, which lead me to my first victory. I was annoyed at Michu's injury, as i believed it to be a foul and a penalty, which neither was given. I still have a lot to learn about my squad and how best to utilise my players, but I have got my first win. Onwards and upwards.
