I played some games yesterday (slow, WC, Newcastle CM, 8 min) V5 with 25 RF and 100 marking, 95 width, and it looked pretty good. I'll show you a couple of videos.

In this one all Spurs' defenders tracked back and specially the LB followed my striker all the way from the left wing. I rewinded the whole play too see where the hell did he came from ��

Another example, even Liverpool with their full court high press manage to keep working on defence and track me down to their box.

This Liverpool cup game was the one I've enjoyed more till now. Liverpool really pushing on me and leaving gaps to counters but it was really hard to make it work. I managed to make 2 goals to them and take the game to the penalty shootout where I got the W.
I don't know, but 100 marking is really a sweet spot for me, it feels like the players are a bit more aware in general.
Can anybody give it a try?

Played the v5 set as it's posted for my created League 2 team, Legendary/Slow/Mixture of Semi & Manual controls, and I'm finding it really well balanced right now. RF @ 50 has actually made it easier to defend as the defenders actually have runners to follow (which they actually do) rather than all standing in a line waiting for the CPU to play a killer ball between the CBs.

I have not yet seen the CB jogging issue when using Legendary/Slow, I have obviously seen it on WC as others here have and as Matt says it will be one of those 'live with it' things unless it's fixed in a patch. But I wouldn't count on it, as actually this bug as been around since at least FIFA 20 on World Class/Slow to a certain extent.

And before everyone jumps, I know it can happen on Legendary too, but it's definitely a lot less. For my money at the moment the most realistic experiences can either be found on Legendary/Slow or on WC/Normal with v5.

I am playing on Assisted Settings CM 7 minute per half WC as I am also into online seasons and would not want to change settings back and forth every time. Any recommended alterations on the slider set that Matt had posted? Thanks!

I think this is the most fun and rewarding gameplay I've played on FIFA. I'm playing as Spurs and thrashed a struggling Barcelona 4-1 in the Champions league so I was afraid that world class may be too easy. After that I played a game against SK Rapid Wien in the CL and struggled but still pulled it out 2-0. Lot's of variety here.

Off topic question, Does player form still play a role after morale was implemented?

Completely agree. I am in January of my Southampton CM. Made improvements but also I have been playing Tino at RB even with him being grossly underrated by EA. I’ve beaten a couple big teams, but also been thrashed 5-1 by Chelsea and 3-1 a few times. Have had some great last minute wins and heartbreaking losses at the death. Seeing some injuries, but a reasonable amount. Have had great variety in outcomes and flow of games. Loving v5.

As to your question, I do believe form, morale both play a role? I’m not entirely sure.

Quick questions guys! I’m playing V5 sliders on Xbox X WC normal 10 min. On fast build up tactics notice the game when to fast back and forward. Barcelona vs Sevilla score 5-3. Second game change it to balance score was 2-1. Fast build up make that much impact on gameplay ? Also in both game almost all the CPU possessions end up in a goal attempt or in the box almost to score. Is the game against CPU is design like that or I’m doing something wrong? Kind of worry because is almost impossible for me to press at midfield just have to quickly go back to goal line and a use my CB. Please reply thank you guys

Its getting to the point that tactics should just all be changed to default. The press once again for the 400th time is overpowered and your players just stay with their defenders like they are stuck to them so you cant get an opening, so what happens ? turnover after turnover. I mean why do we have individual ratings when every player can defend at same level ?? I am so over this freaking game

I just tested V5 and it's just SPECTACULAR. Tested discrepancy 15/20 (legendary, slow, 10 min, full manual)
Two games - Reading 0-0 Shef United (me), West Brom 1-0 Cardiff (me). Two games were played, a lot of fighting in midfield, the two teams together, CPU exchanging passes with intelligence, GK making saves and in both matches the defenders behaved very well. I just loved it.

Hi there what exactly do you mean by the press is overpowered? For user or AI?

It's best explained with these two clips:

In this clip you can see how the defence should be behaving when you get behind the defence on the wings.

And in this clip you can clearly see that instead of sprinting back like they should, two of the defenders just shuffles back sideways, paying no attention to the attackers at all. You can see that 3 of the attackers are open in the box when they should have been tracked by the defenders.

Unfortunately, the defence more often than not behaves like they do in the latter clip..

So is this caused by SLOW or? Has current set of sliders resolved the issue? Thanks.

The issue remains in both Slow and Normal speed. But it is more prominent on Slow. The sliders have not solved the issue, and it might not be solvable by sliders alone. But the sliders really help making the shuffeling occur less frequently.

I guess that's the easy and lazy solution, have you tried to modify your formation/tactic so you can beat the press?
Tips: wide open the field, 352 is a great tactic to beat press, make triangles with your player positions at defence and midfield. Tell your 2 forwards to make runs once you surpass the press if you want to punish them, or just make all the team to move the ball around to tire your opponent.

Is annoying sometimes like no matter which player you are using a lower rated CPU defender will press you like high rated guy

Played some tonight with V5, I don't like power at 70, it seems so easy to pass overpowerly? And some reason the CPU always crowd at the middle and is so easy to pass across the field, left to right, right to left, and also I seem to dominate posession every game for some reason?

Sorry just some quick notes first, busy with work lately, will do more testing later this week.
