Re: FIFA 22 OS Community Sliders
Played the v5 set as it's posted for my created League 2 team, Legendary/Slow/Mixture of Semi & Manual controls, and I'm finding it really well balanced right now. RF @ 50 has actually made it easier to defend as the defenders actually have runners to follow (which they actually do) rather than all standing in a line waiting for the CPU to play a killer ball between the CBs.
I have not yet seen the CB jogging issue when using Legendary/Slow, I have obviously seen it on WC as others here have and as Matt says it will be one of those 'live with it' things unless it's fixed in a patch. But I wouldn't count on it, as actually this bug as been around since at least FIFA 20 on World Class/Slow to a certain extent.
And before everyone jumps, I know it can happen on Legendary too, but it's definitely a lot less. For my money at the moment the most realistic experiences can either be found on Legendary/Slow or on WC/Normal with v5.
Anyway, I will test it again to check how it behaves on slow speed, which I prefer.
Reading this, plus my preference to play on slow speed in CM v. normal got me to try the legendary sliders instead of the WC harder sliders for v5.
I now agree with this. There seems to be a lot more realism in what's happening on Legendary slow v. WC slow/normal. More variety, more animations. I even saw my RB actually track someone on a forward run into my penalty area.
It's almost as if, on legendary, there's more active defending logic working with the AI players v. world class, which is making a difference. Played a 1-1 draw where each team had chances to win late.
One thing to note...if you change your slider settings and difficulty on the main screen, those slider settings will pass through to your career mode, but the difficulty switch WILL NOT. You have to go in there within your career and change the difficulty mode to Legendary even if you changed it within the regular settings.
Maybe because that's what we had to use last year and I'm used, but I'm finding slow speed with V5 sliders excessively slow.
Now I'm curious if on Legendary the slow speed will be a bit faster than World Class.
I've increased the difficulty from professional to world class expecting to get hammered, but... Wow! The game feels a lot, easier? No. That's not the right word... More, real? I don't know how, but these sliders, and slow speed, with world class do make a very interesting game!
I don't suppose anyone is playing on XBOX and suffering from this bug? Just thought I'd ask...

Re: FIFA 22 OS Community Sliders
Ok, played three Manchester United x Sydney FC matches from pre-season Champions Trophy.
1) World Class - V5 - Slow - Full Manual - 10 minutes
Don't know if it's due to pre-season, but I had a real "slow motion" feeling. Can't be sure if it's because of a whole year using normal speed on FIFA 21 or if it's because of the 15 sprint value. Even though knowing it's an inferior team, I became extremely frustrated about the CB jockey constant issues. It's the kind of thing that it's breaking my immersion.
2) World Class - V5 - Normal - Full Manual - 10 minutes
May seem a contradiction, but now I felt a bit too fast for my taste. Still seeing CB jockey, of course, but now it's like at least wingers can run to dispute the ball, so it's not so frustrating. Also, faster game, more goals. Don't like this so much.
3) Legendary - V5 - Slow - Full Manual - 10 minutes
Can't believe I was missing this! I though it was bad as FIFA 21, where CPU decided to almost always do funny things in instead of playing objectively, but I was wrong. Also, maybe because of the 20 sprint value, I really didn't feel any kind of "slow motion" feeling. The pace became absolutely fine and they play objectively, with a lot of variations and kinds of different plays.Comment

Re: FIFA 22 OS Community Sliders
This may have been brought up already, I’m on V5, Slow, Professional, 8 min, PS5. Started my Man Utd career.
In the preseason friendly matches I played, the game felt weird with 10/10 Sprint and 55 Width. The players felt like they were in slow motion, almost as if they were too fast for the game/sprint speed that was set. Wingers when sprinting didn’t feel like they were sprinting at times and the game countered with some odd clumsy animations. Best way I can describe it. Is this something that needs to be adjusted that I am missing or is this a case of I just need to get used to using Man Utd 85+ rated players rather than a Championship side in my other Created Club career mode?

Re: FIFA 22 OS Community Sliders
I don't think the preseason games are the best matches to get a good feel for sliders. Those games always play wildly different compared to the league or cup matches.

Re: FIFA 22 OS Community Sliders
Made the step up to Legendary last night, and to my surprise, it really isn't much of a step up. Game feels good on this setting though with v5.
One thing I'd started to notice of WC was that CPU defenders would too often misplace a pass into midfield, and my attackers would gain possession and be able to immediately attack the back 4.
The step up to Legendary, and increase of pass error to 70 seems to make this happen even more actually.
This setting seems to scale with the passing stat of the player on field. This makes sense of course, but the result is that by having pass error high, the most likely and most frequent missed passes will be from defenders.
The high setting therefore doesn't create too many more misplaced passes in attack, but a lot more in defence, which is not where you want to have this.
Don't get me wrong, it feels like this setting needs to be above 50, otherwise the CPU just plays tiki taka, but maybe it needs a bit of balancing.Comment

Re: FIFA 22 OS Community Sliders
Please find below my feelings (only my point of view not the ultimate truth ) if it could help:
- Both on WC and Legendary, center defenders do not track properly strikers we saw it a quite a few times in the stream with this "shuffleling effect" (see at 2:15 min, see at 7:15 min) . More present in the WC mode than in the Legendary one. Probably difficult to tackle this issue through sliders changes only a patch could change that (I do not know if normal speed with your new sliders set could tackle it a little). Sometimes we have very great tracking (such as at 11:30 min)
- In my opinion (only mine) the discrepency between speed for user and CPU is translated in weird sequence with high speed players such as Sancho / Ronaldo who struggle too much in my opinion to make a difference vs. the defender (see example at 2:11 min, at 6:00 min). Even if I admit that game pace seems very good.
- Regarding attack animation from CPU, in my opinion WC is more realistic, with more direct sequences and as you said because in Legendary the CPU is overplaying a lot (see at 3:00 min, 6:26 min, see at 10:40 min how more direct plays the CPU is doing in WC)
Thank you for all your workComment

Re: FIFA 22 OS Community Sliders
Played a couple of games using the adjustments Matt tested on stream: v5 with height at 0/0 and length at 40/40 (hope I got those right).
WC, Slow, 9min halves (I figured coming down from 10 might mean less goals), semi-assisted.
Coming off multiple 5-3 wins and a 7-0 demolishing of Liverpool (their press is so easy to work through sometimes) with v5, I was hoping for some for some more defensive resistance, and these changes have hit the spot.
Match 1: A tough 1-1 slog against a determined Villa side who made me work til the 85th minute to earn an equalizer.
Match 2 (pictured): my only other clean sheet of F22. Big win already in my books. Very even contest. I wasn't able to exploit the defence wide, and balls over the top were blocked with body contact for the most part.Attached FilesLast edited by JHG90; 10-20-2021, 06:30 AM.Comment

Re: FIFA 22 OS Community Sliders
Reading through the patch notes, there isn´t any mention of the defenders not tracking back (or shuffling, or whatever we want to call it) problem.
It must be a "design" thing and not really a bug in their minds, so we may be screwed regarding this issue...Comment

Re: FIFA 22 OS Community Sliders
100 marking is doing the job great for me about the shuffling and physical battle. (PS5, V5, WC, FUMA)
The only shuffles I have now are like this one, CB stops his run and tries to shuffle in case I make the pass to the other runners, once he realises I'm going to shoot he tries to reach my player again.
Every other defending player is either running back or marking a possible runner.Last edited by Serchenko9; 10-20-2021, 08:33 AM.Comment
