Re: FIFA 22 OS Community Sliders
Pass Speed - 40/30 (Previous 40/40) *amended*
► Unfortunately, the change in increasing pass speed to the original version 4 just wasn't going to work because of the deep defensive line. The CPU loves to pass quickly and pass error can't afford to be raised much more.Comment

Re: FIFA 22 OS Community Sliders
But I'm not saying Ultimate or Legendary are more realistic than other difficulty settings. It just depends on the individual.
Sorry, just seems like there's a lot more people popping up asking for definitive recommendations specific to them. I'm getting pm'd with requests, which means I'm sure Matt10 is inundated with them. But for the most part universal recommendations just aren't possible - everyone's different and going to have different experiences. Best thing we can do IMO is encourage people to experiment rather than expect there's one set of settings that's best for all.Comment

I'm on FUMA. I use Co-op because it's the closest to PES' Blimp camera. I'm so to used playing on the furthest away camera, I've gotten used to it. I would probably do worse at finishing on closer up cameras now but not certain about that.Comment

Re: FIFA 22 OS Community Sliders
You did say that. But then the rest of your post went on to claim there's issues at Legendary and Ultimate that don't exist at WC or lower. I'm just pointing out that those issues are not universal - like I said, I see weird stuff at WC or lower that makes things too easy but Legendary and Ultimate play better for me. Issues you blame on the difficulty settings, I do not experience to be as much a problem.

Re: FIFA 22 OS Community Sliders
Played two games on v5 (WC, Slow, 8min, FUMA, Co-op Camera, edit: Xbox One) and it feels amazing (haven’t lowered player’s pass and shot error to 50 as recomended for FUMA).
Played Viktoria Berlin against 1860 Munich (both German 3rd div) and lost 0-2, then Viktoria against B. Dortmund II 1-1. I’ve seen a good variation of AI gameplay, around 10~12 shots each team per game, 85~90% of completed passes each team. In the first match after 1860 opened the scoreboard their % of completed passes reached 95%, they kept the ball on feet and slowered the pace pf the game, that was really good to see.
*english is not my first language btw, sorry (:Comment

I may have to edit my idiotic statement.
Of course he is. No idea why I said Luton.
Although.
Maybe he will switch allegiances after Watford got torn apart last night ?

Re: FIFA 22 OS Community Sliders
Finally had the chance to play some matches on Ultimate after the patch. I played a Carabao cup match as ManUtd v Liverpool, replaying it a couple times. Unfortunately Ultimate really got nerfed in this patch. Combined with what I think are some a little too extreme slider settings, the matches played out not quite right.
Main thing was passing. With speed at 30 and pass error at 75, Liverpool were certainly not Liverpool in the passing game. Way too many interceptions, too many poor pass decisions, too many passes that went straight to me. In attack they were mostly fine but couldn't play out of defense. Allison had several passes that were to no one and allowed for easy goals. They were totally screwed by my press.
Pretty sure again it's cause the CPU is basing its decision making on default settings. They don't adjust to the more difficult passing settings like we do, hence the poor decisions. I'll need to experiment with closer to default for these two.
There's also something not right with the line settings; maybe it's due to marking as well. One thing I noticed was Liverpool played too high of a line on occasions. A couple times they held a line at the top of the box and I scored several of the easiest crosses I've done this year. One time was super odd cause they just let Shaw and Ronaldo behind, as if they didn't care. It was weird. Hadn't seen that before.
Players were also getting pulled out of position too often, especially when using direction runs or player lock. Several times I passed to a teammate in a threatening position and there wasn't a defender nearby, leading to some really really easy chances. But I also noticed the CPU is far less solid now on Ultimate, even on default settings, so not sure how much of this was due to sliders. Did seem a little worse though. But it also maybe feels like they tuned down the CPU's defensive aggression?
Tackling was also a bit too easy. I think maybe due to first touch? Just seemed like I was getting in tackles too often before their second touch. I also play with manual jockey rather than assisted, so maybe there's a difference there.
Going forward I'm going to experiment with moving pass settings closer to default for the CPU and maybe play with less extreme marking and first touch settings for the CPU. I suck with the line settings but I'll probably try out a higher length and a bit lower line height.
Oh, also not sure about increased width. Too much space in that backline. Throughballs, especially lofted, were already super OP and I think this made that a little worse. I know how to watch out for these now and can handle them without issue but the CPU couldn't.
Feeling pretty disappointed with how much easier it is to create chances against the CPU since the patch. I'm almost tempted to try competitor mode for the first time this year. Hopefully they can at least figure out this backline AI.Comment

Re: FIFA 22 OS Community Sliders
Because the V5 legendary has it on 70 too. I don't always want shorter times to mean less realism, so the 70 pass error stays, but there's an increase/decrease in other spots.Comment

Re: FIFA 22 OS Community Sliders
I still really struggle with the 52 pass error in this slider set. I'm playing in the MLS, and the AI with 52 pass error just rarely makes a bad pass.
It makes a team like the Seattle Sounders extremely difficult for me to play against because they are constantly giving pressure, and yet when they take possession of the ball it's really difficult to force them into a bad pass or even see a mishandle. They ping-pong the ball down the field until one of my CBs decides it's okay to watch the striker waltz in front of my goal and shoot the ball in.Comment

Re: FIFA 22 OS Community Sliders
Can anyone confirm if these sliders/settings affect the ability to perform custom/manual runs? I'm playing on PS5 and they don't seem to be working for me.Comment

Re: FIFA 22 OS Community Sliders
On Xbox Series X it's working when passing. Did it yesterday. The other run feature I honestly didn't use it yet, need to test.
Anyway, the thing is, I'm 99,9% sure sliders settings aren't able to make any feature stop working. It's not related to game commands.Comment
