      Congrats!!

I took a break for a while, still on Real Madrid and USA national team save in 2018. Got 2018 WC up next.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

I have a sick feeling that I'm about to get sacked. I started off well in my first handful of games in the Championship, but have quite rapidly fallen into relegation territory. I was leaking goals during away games left and right (I was scoring, but I was losing far too many games 4-2). So, stupidly, I decided to make some pretty big changes to tactics and am now suffering the consequences. Morale is down because we lose and we lose because our morale is low. Oh well. I have Jan Koller coming in on Jan 1, but I don't think I'll make it that far; a Brandy-Koller pairing up top would be fun to see, but I just I won't get that far. I may just start a new save once the inevitable firing takes place because I forgot to delete the fake.inc files. Ugh. Thoughts on who I should start with? I'm thinking I could go with a low-level international team and working my way up. Maybe I'll go for China or Canada or some country from a continent I don't normally manage.

I desperately want to try AS Roma as they are my favorite Italian side, but it is really intimidating with the debt and 0 transfer funds...

So my question is, has anyone tried, and won with Roma in this game?

I actually just started a Roma game. I'll report back as I go.

Screw it, I'm going to start it too. Villa is pissing me off too much with their under performance.

Well I got sacked from my AS St-Etienne job. I was expected to challenge for the Ligue 1 title, but through October I was in the regulation zone. I also think me turning in my application for the Borussia Dourtmund Job didn't help my chances. I took a offer managing Derby County. I also took the South Africa job, i almost got them through the round of 16 in the World Cup.

Not a bad go of it with South Africa, what was your loss?

I managed to make it to the Round of 16 with South Africa in a group that had Spain and Denmark, but then I lost to Tunisia in the Round of 16 of all Countries.

South Africa is a good country to manage because I always did well with them at the ACN, and that helped me get jobs with high ranking clubs.

I beat Saudi Arabia, drew with Uruguay and lost to Sweden. The Sweden loss was heartbreaking because it was 1-1 until Ibra scored in injury time.

AS Roma is a nightmare. Any sale you make goes immediately into paying the debt and the team is old and decrepit. Not to mention you literally start at 0 for your transfer budget and also having some real heavyweights in the Series A...yikes.

Yeah, I'm in 2018 in my save right now (started at Paris FC in the French 3rd division but have worked my way up to Die Bayern), and Roma went all the way down to Series C. Ouch.

Started a Dortmund save last night as they are the team I support in Germany. Going to try and make them more German. With my main transfer target being Ozil. Hopefully by next season I can come up with enough funds to make a serious run at him.

Just started a Celtic save. I'm 1-0 in league play Robbie Keane had the game winner for me bhoys with a penalty kick in the 85th minute against Aberdeen. I play Aresnal tonight in the UEFA Champions league. Wish me luck lol. I hope to not lose by more than 3. I have a couple of key injuries Daren O'dea my favorite defender is out, Scott Brown is out. I just hope to play defensive and get an away goal tonight.
