Is there a way to start a game with completely fictional/generated players (sort of like Front Office Football)? I think that would hold my interest way more than with real players.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

Been slowly but surely moving along with my same Liverpool save, and got a nice session in last night.

Still in the same season as mentioned in my last post. With 8 league matches remaining, we hold a 4 point lead over Arsenal and 7 points over both the Mans in 3rd and 4th.

Won the Carling Cup for the third straight season despite not really ever trying too hard to win the thing.

Moved to the FA Cup Semis, and if we win that this year, it will be quite the run. We've faced Bristol City, Everton, Spurs, and Man U so far (all Prem teams) and drew Chelsea in the Semis. The Man U match in the 6th round was won by the now-legendary Edin Dzeko with a goal in stoppage time 1-0 to avoid an annoying replay.

Got by Spartak Moscow 6-2 on aggregate in the first of the Champions League knockout rounds. Won the first leg 2-1 in Moscow. They tied it on aggregate early in the second leg, and that's when Dzeko decided he was going to reel off a hat trick. He hasn't lost anything at 33. We drew Lyon in the quarters.

The chance of winning everything we've entered is still alive!

EDIT: Won everything except the Champions League. Was knocked out by Lyon in the quarters.

And now the board is building a new stadium and naming it Daglish Arena, lol!

I took the Roma job in my Standard Liege save. I had the final CL spot but I ran in to a slump in the last month. So I got the Europa League spot, at least I'm playing in Europe next season.

I also took the Ghana job. I started well in the Confederations Cup by beating Scotland 4-0 but I then lost to USA 1-0 and Argentina 2-1.

Just crushed Portugal in a friendly. Still haven't lost since taking over Italy.

I see Palmero is doing well in your save as well. I wonder if that's something that happens often in FM 11?

And Germany fails to qualify for the WC. Germany just offered me the manager job, but I'll stick with a team that's actually going to be playing meaningful football this summer.

Got my WC Draw. Belgium, Cameroon, and Japan is not bad at all.

Got a tough UCL draw. Going to be tough to beat Real Madrid.

Your run with QPR has inspired me to revisit my QPR save (started with Palace). Currently I'm just trying to win Championship. I have a ways to go.

And now I was just offered the Real Madrid Job....Always wanted to manage in Spain and Real Madrid.

The problem is I have such a young team at QPR, dont want to leave them.

                              What should I do?

What does the Madrid squad look like? Tons of young talent to develop in Spain too.
