Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Just a question...
What is the best mod for the MLS? I would like something that accurately does both the MLS and the CONCACAF Champions League...
I saw that one that you posted Whitesox but...I don't see anything on the Champions League.Too Old To Game Club

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
The CONCACAF Champions League is included out of the box, so as long as the qualifications are still set up in the rules of the mod, it should still work.Comment

Hmmm...You know what...I may have been thinking of FIFA not having Champions League.
If that's true...I may try that editor/mod.Too Old To Game Club

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Oh, and if it is an additional selling point, at least in the MLS, the fixtures are the same as real life.
Portland is not going so well. We're last with something like 8 points on 14 games. That might even be generous. On the plus side, we won the play-in tournament (magical underdog victory) and are through to the third round of the US open cup, which is the only thing the board wanted. I'm pleased with that.Last edited by Whitesox; 03-30-2011, 03:08 PM.Comment

I do believe it still has the CCL. All Champions League competitions are included out of the box. You just have to have an Oceanic edit file to get the O-League.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Yup. And I'm in even better in with the board now, as we (to my elation) thrashed the Revs 3-0 in the 3rd round. RSL in the quarters. At least it's at home, but the draw was not kind to us.
EDIT:
Super sub Kenny Cooper puts us through! Next round is in New York, another tough matchup. Henry slayed us in league play, but I have upgraded our defense since then.Last edited by Whitesox; 03-31-2011, 11:35 AM.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Well apparently Russian Boards have much lower expectations than English ones.
I'm currently 1-13-1 in my last 15 matches in charge yet they still have strong confidence in my management ability. I'm also second from the bottom and in the relegation zone.
I was kind of hoping they would let me go, but I'm thinking I'll just resign at the end of the season anyways. Russia just isn't for me.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Our Open Cup run has come to an end with a 1-0 loss in New York in the semis. Unfortunate, yet the overall performance was pleasing. The season is over as far as I'm concerned, time to look at some potential transfers for the offseason.Comment

Try and see if you can get Mark O'Brien. The guy has turned into a defensive star for me and I got him for cheap.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I picked this striker up off of a free, curious to read everyone's thoughts on him. He's a bit old, and he doesn't want to learn a PPM (I didn't push the issue for fear of upsetting him). I think he could be an immense power up front, something we dearly need. I've placed red marks next to attributes I consider important for the role, and he seems to be excellent in all of them. Probably should spoiler tag this.
