Blackburn is sent straight from hell. I can never, EVER beat them.

They can go Formica themselves with their Goodwille.

Thank God FM doesn't reflect real life.

I cannot live through the Bruce Arena era again.

So in my journeyman save that started way back in the 3. Bundesliga, I worked all the way up to Schalke. I bought Pastore for 60 mil and but could only sign him to a highest earner clause 3 year deal because his agent was acting like a long string of expletives. I finished 3rd and qualified for the CL in year one, and last night I finished year two, winning the league and Pokal but going out in the CL first knockout stages to Lyon in humiliating fashion, 7-0 aggregate. Lyon were my kryptonite in FM 11, and they are still my kryptonite in FM 12. I think I'm going to start rooting against them in real life too.

Anyway, Real Madrid came calling and I accepted (SOOO MUCH MONEY). The second I leave Schalke, they resign Pastore to a contract with a 30 mil release clause. So I buy him at Madrid for half what I paid for him at Schalke!!!!! On top of that, Schalke sold off Hazard and Sakho, so they're going to absolutely suck next year. It's always fun (and yet disheartening at the same time) to see a team you just left completely implode.

Anyone else have fun implosion stories?

Yeah, it's this one of this Arsenal team that plays amazing in the Champions league but blows chunks in the PL.

LOL. Although last season it was exactly the opposite (won the EPL, went out in the first knockout stages). And we're not even midway through November, so just for that I'm going to score 10 goals against you on Sunday.

I always get pissed when they do that. I'm sure I've posted stories in here before about that.

                Idiots they are.

If I recall correctly, it happened in FM 11 when you left QPR.

Woot woot, second straight year my striker had the most goals in the league. However, my team still finished in the middle of the pack, 10th I believe. Hopefully the 4th year is the year I get promoted.

Just got hit with the Football Manager Depression Hammer at the end of my first season with Athletic Bilbao. Heading into the final day all I need was 3 points in my last match away at Levante. We ended up losing 2-1 and with Barcelona beating Betis 1-0 we finished 2nd, 1 point behind.

After that horrific and depressing crash, I'm starting over with Gloucester City down in the sixth tier (Blue Square Bet North/South) of English football.

We just completed the preseason going 3-2-1:
                          H v Gloucester Reserves W 3-0
                          H v Alfreton (fellow sixth tierers, :notsureifword D 1-1
                          A v Oxford City (7th tier) W 1-0
                          A v Weston super-Mare (same level as us) L 1-2
                          A v Bedford (7th tier) L 4-5... 100 people got to see this cracker of a match
H v Dag & Red (League Two) W 3-1... we dominated a professional side which can only mean we are good enough to run through these semi-pro teams.

At the start of season 2, Millwall, the board agreed to upgrade my youth facilities. With one month left in the season, I get a message that they've cancelled the upgrade due to lack of funds. Thru out the season my finance status was okay. Once the board agreed wouldn't the money have all ready been allocated? When season 2 ended, due to transfers out and contracts not renewed my wage bill went from 145K down to 130K p/w.

Question, why didn't something pop up stating we were running into money issues or what caused the youth facility to be cancelled?

Is it possible to create fictional leagues with real players? I.E MLS with players from the top clubs in the world? Or just EPL with players in different leagues available? I've been thinking about this game for a couple of years, but I know my my laptop couldn't handle the game. Thinking that it might work if I just run one league.

So I got fired from Millwall in 5th(I think) year because of a horrible start to the season. Don't really want to continue that one. I might start a new one as mediocre team in the EPL or try it again in the Npower championship and try for a promotion.
