Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Yeah, FM trolled me with them in my group as well, and of course they beat me in the first match to make it harder than it had to be going forward.
This year's group is much easier. CSKA Moscow, Besiktas (again), and Luzerne.
BTW, Sergio Aguero has become unstoppable. I'm not sure how I'm going to keep up with Man City this season.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I finally found a solution which was to edit the xml file myself. Not the greatest solution since it does mess up a couple tables as the text goes outside the area; looking into fixing that. But the most important thing is that I don't have to make my eyes work extra hard just to read.
Also after a month or so vacation I came back to my Chelsea team and what a rude welcome. I almost feel that my virtual players given up on me for taking a month off the game. lol 4-0 lost to "Citeh" in the FA Cup followed by a 5-1 loss to 4th place Blackburn. Wow. And this is from a team that lost only 1 game before hand moving into January. Need to get to some serious work in.Comment

Extremely early but hot damn was that a win!
Had to be scrappy and lost a lot of players in the process but it was worth it. I could probably ask from the world from the board and get it.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Second season of the Online Save is in the books.
rsnomar05's Arsenal are EPL champs.
Led Spurs to a 4th place finish and a Europa League win (I really like beating Marseille in European finals in FM12). Parlayed that into the FC Bayern job, who underachieved in 6th and missed the CL.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 04-04-2012, 01:40 AM.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I didn't notice if the Inter job opened yet. I don't think so... A couple that you might be able to apply for on Sunday are Fulham and Sporting Club Portugal.
Your Bolton squad finished strong in the last two matches after you had to leave. You finished 14th, 5 points from the drop zone.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I'm glad to see I'm not totally worthless in English footy. Is the Portugal database open on our save? Sporting have a decent team. Hopefully I have everything taken care of so I can get back to being on for the whole time and get a team rolling.Comment

Also of note, you'll be happy to hear that even though Chelsea beat you in the final match, nomar lost to Liverpool, so Chelsea finished 7th. And since Birmingham City beat Man City in the FA Cup Final, Chelsea will not be having any European football next season. Serves them right for firing you.
The team that finished 5th? West Brom. That's right, West Brom and Birmingham are in Europe, Chelsea is not.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 04-04-2012, 11:27 AM.Comment

That's a good question, I'll check tonight. We can certainly open it if you want to apply for the job.

There's still plenty of time for them to fire him. If I recall, Wenger was on the hot seat as well, but beating my B squad in the final week might have been enough to save him.Comment

That's because he's got full knowledge of that area already. Send him somewhere where he has no knowledge.Comment
