I guess I'm playing without a ST for a while...

This is who's gonna be filling in. He's competent at ST which is fine enough for 2-3 games I guess...

Enough with the ****ing torn calf muscle's SI. Geez. This is making it absolutely impossible to make a run at the league (currently in 5th). I'm missing 2-3 key players every game due to injury.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Just spent the highest transfer fee on a player, got this Striker for 28M.
Spoiler
After 26 games, I'm 2nd in the league with 60 points tied with Leverkusen for the first spot. However, I lost my starting goalie for a month.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
That's a great signing. Well worth that money.
Part way through Season 4 at Sampdoria, I was approached by Bayern as they're underachieving once again. Do I have to save them in this save too? I saved, accepted, then reloaded. Perhaps I'll pick up that branch in the future, but I'm enjoying my time at Sampdoria. We've advanced to the knockout round of the Europa League with 2 games in hand and are lurking in the 5-7 range in the league only 6 out of 1st.Comment

Meanwhile in the online save, we just finished up another season. Nomar won the double (EPL and CL) and new days are ahead maybe. Tim managed to stop the bleeding and won Bundesliga while Bezzey finished 2nd. I finished in 8th, and thanks to Rafa being Rafa, Liverpool fired him and now I'm there with Europa League football. This next year should be fun.Lions, Tigers, Pistons, Michigan

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
After losing all my old saves and starting to hit that end of the version boredom I decided to try out a World Super League database save. I have no real clue how this works and picked the Orlando Pirates from South Africa as my team. Looks pretty intense with 2 matches every week.
Seems like it'll be pretty fun once I figure everything outComment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I would suggest waiting for next year unless this game goes on sale.
Finally I won the DFB-Pokal. It was a bitch to get to the finals as I got a terrible draw every round. Drew Stuttgart, Bayern Munich, Leverkusen, Dortmund in that order before facing Aue in the finals.
Spoiler
I also won Bundesliga on my 9th year with the team, finally get to compete in the Champions League. I won quite a bit of 1-0,2-1 games this year. Robert Lewandowski scored the most goals in the league for 5th straight year, he had 31 this past year and the next best had 18.
Spoiler
Excited for next year, and see how much money I get to work with.
Spoiler
Now onto Euro 2020 for me.Last edited by Kobalt; 08-06-2012, 07:01 AM.Comment

Same here but as Kobalt said its best to wait for 13 since the game will probably come out in 2-3 months.Mets/Giants/Knicks/Rangers/Manchester United/Notre Dame Football

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Yeah, FM's scheduling can be so mind-bogglingly stupid at times. Their end-of-year scheduling for the England is also horrible, where one year I had like two days between the last EPL match and the FA Cup final. You'd figure they'd get this right, since they're, you know, FROM ENGLAND.Comment

Bezzey (with Gladbach) won the Pokal. I won't point out personal end-of-season awards for everyone, but in this case it's notable that Bezzey won Manager of the Year. Gladbach had no business finishing anywhere near 2nd or qualifying for the CL, so it was quite a remarkable season for Bezzey.Comment

The real question is what took you so long! I would say buy but it is different for me because I buy on opening day every year.Comment
