My scouts are not too high on any of them for some reason.

I know in the 08 version, Mattock becomes an English international.

Well after one game it looks my tactics from last version are gonna transfer over nicely, winning my first league game in charge against Wednesday.
In the transfer market, I'm taking the Roy Keane approach, and getting anyone with Man United ties.

Depends on the scout, but they're all -9 potential on the editor. I checked.

I second that.

And the scout I used is 20 in judging player potential and 19 in judging player ability, so he's normally pretty accurate. Although the editor doesn't lie.

However, since some of us would prefer not to know what the editor says, I think maybe editor ratings should be put in spoiler tags.

Well, after losing the first leg of the CL quarterfinals to Chelsea 2-1 (but netting a vital away goal, I rested my starters for the Sunday game against West Brom to rest them (several players, like Fabregas, had just come back from injury and were exhausted), and I tied 1-1, which puts me only two points clear of Man Utd. But the sacrifice was worth it, as I crushed Chelsea in the home leg, winning 2-0 and dominating possession. Pirlo scored both goals, one from a FK and the other from about 40 out and netted man of the match.

In the semis I'm pitted against Barca, with a likely matchup against Man Utd. in the finals if I can make it that far (why do I always face them in finals?!).

Man Utd. plays Inter, but Inter is riddled with injuries and should prove to be a rather weak challenge. I wish I had drawn them.

Wow. I guess my U-18 team has been pretty good. I can't wait to see what these players look like on my 1st team in a few years...

I just got offered Vukcevic for $13 mil. Chelsea, Inter, Man Utd., Liverpool, Barca, Bayern, and many more high profile teams have all put in bids, but I'm apparently the favorite to get him.

He is a very good player. I had him on Roma for a while in one of my saves. He is dynamite in a free role position in the middle (either AMC or MC), bagging some goals, but mostly setting up teammates for loads of their own. What grade did your scouts give him? If I remember correctly, my scouts only gave him 5*, even though he played like a 7* player game in and game out.

With eleven games left to play in my first season with derby, I'm in 5th, six points out of first. Made it to the quarters of the Carling Cup, and lost in the 3rd round of FA Cup.
Haven't really had a stand out player all year, GK Roy Carroll has been a welcome surprise, and Rob Hulse has chipped in with 10 league goals.

Lost 2-0 to Iceland in my first match with San Marino. Eggert Jónsson had both goals.

Overall, not a bad result. Iceland is 100-something places higher than me in the rankings, so it could have been worse. We managed to keep Eiður Guðjohnsen off the scoresheet, so that's a victory in itself.

Obviously looking toward the NI games for a victory(ies), and hoping we might be able to squeek out a draw or two from the others.

Hah, I remember on my soccer trip to Italy last year we went to San Marino, and how it was like the smallest "country" if you could call it that, in the world. Have fun with scouting talent :P
