We beat them 6-3 at home (It was 6-1 until they got a couple consolation goals late), it was pleasing.

Our blemishes are 1-1 to Man U at home and 1-4 at Arsenal...nothing went right in that match, and we will be looking to punish them harshly at Anfield.

well, here's my first year in charge of the US:

The Argentina loss in the QF was so heartbreaking, a 90(+2) goal to send it into extra time, then a tired Omar Gonzalez conceded a penalty in the 111th minute. The Colombia win was fantastic though, a near last second goal sent me in to wake everyone up jubilation(not a good thing, i guess)

Finally decided this weekend to give my life back to FM and give 15 a try. Started off with Sevilla, thinking I would enjoy it, but instead all of the frustrations the one encounters playing this beautiful game have hit all at once and I find myself wanting to throw my laptop around on numerous occasions.

I spent 57 mil to bring in Calum Chambers in. Srna is still a quality RB, but he's 35 and likely to significantly decline, so I needed to bring an RB in. I also was able to sign Gerard Deulofeu, Jeronimo Rulli, and Humam Tariq on free tranfers. Rulli is a fantastic GK and is now my starter, while Deulofeu and Tariq have massive potential. I'll never understand how those three could be let go on frees.

Well, Gervinho, Nainggolan, Perisic, and Castan were the only players on the senior squad that I sold. And of those four, Gervinho was the only starter. Nainggolan, Perisic, and Castan were B teamers who sometimes came on as substitutes.

Wonderkid Patrick Roberts, who I signed two seasons ago, had developed enough to replace Gervinho. They are both 4 star players, according to my assman, and with Gervinho turning 30 and starting to decline, I figured now was the best time to sell. Roberts was going to be the starter this year anyway.

Wonderkid Kristoffer Ajer, who was at the club when I arrived and spent the past two seasons out on loan, had developed into a suitable Nainggolan replacement. Aside from B Team duties, I was only using Nainggolan as a late game DM entry to protect a lead. Ajer is much better defensively, as he has a 15 heading and 18 jumping reach, compared to 8 and 8 for Nainggolan. So it was a no brainer to sell Nainggolan, who was out of contract at the end of the season and demanding a large pay raise.

Gerard Deulofeu, who I posted above came in on a free, plays the same positions as Perisic. AMR/AML. They both have 2.5 star ability, but Perisic had reached his potential, where as Deulofeu has 4 star potential. Perisic whined and whined about wanting more first team football, so I was more than happy to let him leave.

And Tin Jedvaj, a wonderkid who, like Ajer was at Roma when I arrived, is now better than Castan. I initially had no desire to sell Castan, and was going to loan out Jedvaj for the season, but Caston got injured for 6 months and fell from 3 star ability to 2 star. That's one thing that annoys me about FM: player ratings falling too far during long injury spells. Castan wasn't good enough for my squad anymore, and Jedvaj has gobs of potential, so I removed Jedvaj from the loan list and sold Castan.

The rest of the outgoings were youth squad players who had 1 year left on their contract and had low potential. Since they were never going to be good enough for the senior squad, I wanted to get whatever money for them I could.

Next off-season is going to be interesting in terms of potentially clearing house. De Rossi is 34 and on the decline. Srna is 35 and, while he hasn't declined yet (shocking, I know), that's bound to change. Javier Hernandez is a goal-scoring machine, but he's about to turn 30, so his ratings might start to fall. Fabian Johnson is also about to turn 30. And in addition, I have several youth players with 2 star potential who will be entering the final year of their contracts. I'm betting there will be several Serie B teams interested in those youths (pronounced "utes", My Cousin Vinny style).

The most frustrating run of games I think I've ever had playing this damn game. I've led in every game except the 2nd game against Zurich. In the first game against them I had 3 defenders complain about playing time, so I gave them a chance and they repaid the favor by all have ratings of 6.0. I then returned the favor by cutting all 3 because I was so pissed. Feels good to be back.

If you cut them, I hope they weren't very good.

Anyway, I qualified for the WC with England with a game in hand after an easy qualifying run.

Stumbled across this today. A Minnesota league that replaces Faroe Islands. A lot of great work here - I will definitely be taking over the Duluth team whenever I get bored with my Liverpool save.

I thought I had a good off-season, brought in some solid talent and had a good set of tactics prepared. It all went to hell almost immediately.
First up was a pre-season tournament featuring all 24 teams from the top 2 leagues. 7th place out of 8 in the group stage. OK, no big deal, it's not a high priority competition anyway.
Lost in the 4th round of the cup, which was the first round we appeared in.

And finally, the disaster that was league play. 15 matches without a win to start the season. 15 FREAKING matches...
