He actually did quite well for me when I put him in there, and his ratings are really nice for age 21. However, he was already griping about his playing time. The fact that de Bruyne has hit the ground running in a big way means this actually ended up great. I have 4 big-time versatile wingers for my 4-2-4 Nomar tactic now (de Bruyne, Sterling, Coutinho, Lallana).

Next year I need to sign a star midfielder to complement Hendo and Can. Gerrard has fallen off a cliff and is retiring after this season.

It's catching on! Pretty soon a real team will start using it.

Reporter: And why did you start using that tactic?
New Manager of Hereford: Well, it worked for some football manager players at Operation Sports. Of course, they had world class players at their disposal and I had Hereford. But still, it was worth a shot.

Haha, that formation concedes so many more goals compared to past versions. But my board expects attacking football, so whatever. They get what they ask for.

Yeah, I've been leading the league in goals scored by a mile, but I am conceding more than I would like. Still, my goal differential is off the charts. Not that it matters in Italy, since head-to-head is the tie-braker. But, like you, my board wants attacking football, so I am providing it.

Had to post the table going into the final 3 match days because this has to be the most insane ending to a season I've seen. 2-team title race. 3-team race for the other 2 CL spots. And the relegation battle is...yeah.

OK, so maybe the title race isn't as close as it looks. Man U has a couple in hand and a relatively easy schedule. We were on a 13-match unbeaten streak to get here ended at Chelsea in the last match.

                Season 2 Recap.

We finished 3rd, which is about as good as we could have done after a weak start and disastrous December. We have still not lost a league match at home under my watch. 14-5-0 at Anfield this season.

                Moyes back!

Jordan Henderson broke his leg late in the season and is out until probably October.

Gerrard hurt his back in training and had to miss his farewell game at Anfield on the last day.

Tim, if I were you I would scout Youri Tielemans as a potential Emre Can replacement if Henderson's going to be out 'til October. He's been beasting it for me in that 4-2-4 formation, and with the talented wingers you have he'll be spraying pinpoint through-balls with aplomb.

I tried signing him as his contract actually was expiring. PSG signed him. I got James Ward-Prowse and Lars Bender.

Just about done with deadline day. If the first few matches are any indication, Lars Bender might be the key piece to a title. He is a ridiculously good holding mid.

Ugh. That's a rough group. Watch out for Pogba when you play Juventus. He killed me both times I faced them last season. He likes to put that 19 in long shots to good use. The only things he isn't good at are goalkeeping, corner taking, and long throws, so he may be the best CM in the game.

I laugh every time I see "Villas-Boas chooses England Squad" come across my news feed.

He took the Arsenal job, stayed there for a season then took the England job.

LVG retired, and Klopp is managing Utd. The man that took the Dortmund job? Brendan Rodgers...

Needed a win at Anfield in the last match against Juve and it finished 1-1. Heartbreaking. We will be pushing hard to win the Europa League.

Lost by a goal at Barca to an Alex Song header in stoppage time. Had a lead against Barca at home but allowed an equalizer by Suarez in the 78th. Ouch.

The CL heartbreak is soothed by the fact that this is happening.

Uh oh, we figured out how to defend.
