Only if you selected "can be recalled" when making the loan.

It's a little ridiculous they frequency with which players complain about a lack of first team football. I'm thinking there might be a bug. Leandro Castan just complained to me that I wasn't giving him enough first team football. Well, he started every pre-season game, due to an injury to John Stones, and I've only played one regular season game where he came on as a sub. So I don't know where that's coming from.

"Hey boss, you know how I didn't start the one game we've played, but came on as a sub?"
      "Yeah, what about it?"
"Well, I'm really ticked that you haven't given me enough first team football."
      "I gave you 45 minutes!"
"I know, right? What a crock! If you can't guarantee me the first team football I'm lacking, I'll go find a club that will!"
"I'll remind you that we've only played one game, which is hardly indicative of my plans for you over the course of the season. You're going to get plenty of first team football this year."
"That's not good enough! I'm not happy at all with how you've handled this! I'm going to go tell all my teammates and complain to the press!"

Sounds about right. I hate it too, so much so that I've put my saves on hold and gone back to fm14 for a little while to see if they fix it. If they don't fix it Soon I'll probably still come back but it does get really annoying to have them complain all the time.

In my experience, if you tell them a player ahead of them is in good form they generally back off.

Unfortunately he was on loan when I got here.

That's what I normally do, but that wasn't an option. Presumably because I had only played one match. Fortunately Castan's unrest didn't spread to anyone else. Still annoying, though.

Has the most goals in club history. He's never been called up by England's national team nor their U21 side.

I'm without Internet (besides my phone) at the moment so I won't be able to provide screenshots.

My backline of four features a FB on support duty (with a winger in the AMR position on attack). On the left I have another FB on attack (with an inside forward on attack in the AML position).

My centerbacks are both traditional central defenders one plays as a stopper while the other covers. The one covering is given special instructions to be very defensive and he plays next to my attacking fullback to cover the space left.

The backline is shielded by an anchorman on with special instruction to play ultra defensively.

In the middle I have a DLP on support and an AP on attack. The DLP mentality is normal, but just one tick above defensive. He's instructed to play through balls often and not run with ball or make forward runs.

I'm still trying to find better instruction for my AP to get him to do more.

Up top is an AF on attack, obviously.

Opponents BARELY creates clear chances against us. Most goals are conceded from set pieces, I would like to know what yall use for defending & attacking set pieces.

Teams will have a lot of shots from long range so I always instruct the anchorman to mark the AMC or second striker if the other team is playing 2 up top.

If there's anything else you need to know, let me know.

Sometimes if I have a stretch like that, I will be demotivated and let my save sit for a week or two.

Trust me, I know that feeling. I had the exact same thing with Forest, having to play the COC semi finals against City with an FA Cup tie sandwiched in between. The good thing is that I came out on top and the rest was history

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

So I posted earlier that despite making a healthy profit, the Roma board had saddled me with a 6 mil transfer budget, and I needed a starting left back. I managed to sell some past-their prime, now useless players like Thiago Neves, and scraped together enough cash to buy Jonathan Silva. So I'm now set at starting LB for the foreseeable future.

I also brought in Darijo Srna and Eugene Konoplyanka on free transfers, giving me a backup fullback and fantastic winger spark off the bench.

Youri Tielemans has developed into a world class CM in just his second season at the club, and he and Alessandro Florenzi are one hell of a midfield duo. Gervinho, Iturbe, and Kagawa have been racking up assists in front of my CMs, and Javier Hernandez is just a lethal finisher. Gervinho has Konoplyanka and Patrick Roberts nipping at his heels and playing great off the bench, but if Gervinho keeps racking up assists he'll have nothing to worry about.

So my team is great offensively, but we are still giving up too many goals. Niklas Sule and John Stones have developed a strong partnership in central defense, but Fabian Johnson has been the weak spot at RB. Johnson is strong offensively, but he gets beaten way more easily than he should when defending. I could adjust my tactics to play a more defensive game, but the board has required attacking football, and as long as the goals keep flowing I'll stick with what is keeping the board happy.

I'm at the midway point of the season, and am tied on points with Juventus in 1st. I have the higher GD. Behind us by two points and tied for 2nd are Empoli and Sampdoria, which is not the most shocking part of the standings. That would be the fact that Milan are 19th and in the relegation zone.

I also posted that I drew a CL group with Arsenal, Dortmund, and Standard. Both Arsenal and Roma advanced, and here are the results of the knockout draw:
