      Base Tactic
      Strategy: Counter, Flexible
      GK: Goalkeeper (D)
      DL: Wing Back (S)
      DC: Central Defender (D)
      DC: Central Defender (D)
      DR: Full Back (S)
      DM: Anchor Man (D)
      ML: Wide Midfielder (A)
      MC: Box-to-Box (S)
      MC: Advanced Playmaker (S)
      MR: Winger (S)
      ST: Advanced Forward (A)

      Attacking Tactic
      Strategy: Control, Flexible
      GK: Goalkeeper (D)
      DL: Wing Back (A)
      DC: Central Defender (D)
      DC: Central Defender (D)
      DR: Full Back (S)
      DM: Anchor Man (D)
      MC: Box-to-Box (S)
      MC: Advanced Playmaker (A)
      AML: Inside Forward (S)
      AMR: Winger (A)
      ST: Advanced Forward (A)

      Bunker Tactic
      Strategy: Counter, Structured
      GK: Goalkeeper (D)
      DL: Full Back (S)
      DC: Central Defender (D)
      DC: Central Defender (D)
      DR: Limited Full Back (S)
      DM: Anchor Man (D)
      ML: Wide Midfielder (S)
      MC: Box-to-Box (S)
      MC: Deep Lying Playmaker (S)
      MR: Winger (S)
      ST: Advanced Forward (A)

As you can see, not a ton of changes between the three, so depending on game flow I can flip between them and the team doesn't have to adjust too much.

I actually do a lot of these things. I play the Champions league anthem on youtube when I'm playing a CL match, I talk to myself pretending to talk to the media, write hundreds of pages in my notebook with tactics and silly ideas.... I know I have a problem.

That's fantastic. I loved that video. I'm still undecided about a club other than Arsenal, but will have a decision by the weekend.

Damn, that must have been frustrating. If just one of your 5 draws had been a win, you're league champions.

Both my losses were to PSG. I had red card and they had a penalty in both games. Insane.

somehow in a roundabout way, I got one of my players to drop his request for a new contract, by dropping him to the U19s to 'improve on a specific area'.

I'll take it, I can't afford to pay him anyway.

How is that being handled with the new dynamic rivalries? I would hope by now the game considers you fierce rivals.

We've been rivals from the start because Paris FC used to be PSG before they separated. But I have dynamic rivalries with Nantes and Bordeaux which is really nice since Bordeaux beat me in the last game of the season twice which cost me the title and Nantes beat me in three cup finals.

I knew Paris FC and PSG were rivals. I was wondering if they had reached the level of fierce rivals yet, because Paris FC starts in the "other rivals" category.

Ugh got the "The Save Game could not be loaded" issue. I only have a single file saved, so my Real Union save is gone.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

Thank you for the advice, guys. I had a new save going with FC Porto (going with a rich team in one of Europe's better leagues, though not to the par of the German, English, or Spanish leagues), but the save corrupted evidently somehow and I cannot load it. I could restore a save from a month back, but I might just start with another team. My season was going decently. We had advanced to the knockout round of Champion's League (or Cup in the game), which surpassed expectations, though we had dropped to third in Portugal following our first loss of the season to Sporting (POR), which was disappointing. Though I had not lost to that point, we had racked up a considerable amount of draws, though.

Tactically, I was going with a 4-2-3-1, which was a tactic I had seen in one of the Let's Play videos on Youtube for FM. It was working pretty well, though I think it might have left a little to be desired defensively. I think maybe a third midfielder would have helped.

What formations do you all favor (EDIT: I see some were posted on the prior page )? I had tried a basic 4-4-2 in my Stalybridge season and it was okay, I guess, but it's hard for me to judge.

Also, how do you all choose between flexible, fluid, structured, etc. tactics? I am unsure what is best to use when. I'd kind of think it's best to be structured when you're trying to hold onto a lead or a draw late in the game, but I'm not too sure.

I need to download actual logos and such (I know the game does not have the real Champions League logo, name, etc.... same goes for the EPL and such). Do those come with one of the skins you can download or what?

Also, I guess I need to enable weekly auto-saves in the future so that corrupted saves aren't a big deal.
