I'm hoping to piss off the FM Gods with this post, but I'm getting tired of things I do, working, I started a new save in the Greek second division, team with no manager to start, major financial trouble, and decided it's best to shut up shop, park the bus, and win as many 1-0 games and draw 0-0 as much as possible. It's working, too well. 5 wins, 2 draws, 0 losses in league play, including a smash and grab 3-1 victory over AEK Athens.Support Local Sports

I qualified out of the group stages of the WC. And yes, I tied Canada.Attached FilesComment

Ugh. Guess what my prize was for winning my group? A date with Germany in the next round. Well, I knocked Bayern out of the CL with Roma, so maybe I can knock Germany out of the WC with England. They would definitely hate me in Germany after that.Attached FilesComment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Got to love ungrateful players. Pick a player off the scrap heap of a big club. Give him some run for one season, and now he's ready to move to a bigger club.
The joys of managing in Scotland. What failed ManU youth prospect should I poach next? lol
I will say, I did good. Bought Petrucci for $190k...sold him to Almeria for $3.8M. Even the fans liked the transfer (hate to see him go, but we did a good job getting what we got for him).Last edited by jasontoddwhitt; 03-04-2015, 09:46 PM.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
After a thrilling 2-1 extra time win, we are through to the World Cup Final! We play either Portugal or Brazil.
By the way, 7 of my players by the end of extra time were in the 40's in stamina. I don't think I've ever had a squad that low in a match. It means the players will exhausted for the final, but they'll just have to grit it out.
Edit: And Portugal beat Brazil on penalties, so now I get to try and contain CR7.Attached FilesLast edited by rsnomar05; 03-05-2015, 09:16 PM.Comment

And England have won the World Cup for the first time since 1966! This was my dream season of FM, winning the league, Champions League, and World Cup back-to-back-to-back.Attached FilesComment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
**** my save got corrupted along with it's backup. Hate that. RIP my awesome regens Robert Fleming and Derek Hughes. You could've been legends...in Wales, anyway. Maybe Scotland if you were lucky.
I've really been enjoying FM this year, though. I'll probably boot up a new career tonight, maybe start unemployed and see where I land.Huskers | Chelsea FC | Minnesota United | OmahaComment

If you have Windows, sometimes you can fix a corrupted save file by right clicking on the file and selecting "restore previous version."Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Yeah, I already tried that, but sadly there weren't any previous versions of the file to restore. Oh well. I'll just be sure to have a backup on another hard drive, just in case it happens again.Last edited by NoDakHusker; 03-14-2015, 01:01 PM.Huskers | Chelsea FC | Minnesota United | OmahaComment
