Lost a match to Queen of the South 4-3. Their four goals came on three first half penalties and a scorching free kick from 30 yards out.

    Official was freaking ridiculous.

I hope you went off in the post-match presser and risked a fine.

It was fun for 75 minutes, and by fun I mean not very.

And the ref was card happy, 10 of them between the clubs

Wasn't even brought up in the post-match presser.

I guess they were penalties, but every single one of them were on crosses into the box off of set pieces. Such a frustrating loss. Thankfully, Hibernian defeated Hearts so I kept my six point lead.

On the plus side, I'm finding a groove with my tactics and I'm really seeing some beautiful football. I've not had the urge to go back to my FM13 save yet.

Going into the January transfer period, there were two positions I wanted to shore up....right wing back and defensive midfield.

I do have to say I love the feature where you can ask your director of football to suggest players based on position and role you are looking for. And he's a smart cookie.

Welcome to Rangers DeAndre Yedlin...even if it is only for 3 months.

Defensive midfield was a little tougher as my transfer targets and loan targets all fell through. So I went the free transfer route and snapped up Benoit Patin on a two year deal.

Also decided to shore up my depth in midfield (and get younger, damn this club is old) and brought in 20 year old Sam Stanton from Hibernian. Thank you guys for selling him to me.

I'm currently 8 points up on Hearts. They threw a 4x value bid on right winger Calum Gallagher, who started getting playing time early in the season because of injuries and he's basically forced himself into the squad.

Come on guys, do you really expect me to throw you a bone? Any other club, I'd probably have taken it (this club is bleeding cash, offseason needs to get here so I can shed off a lot of these bloated contracts to aging vets. No wonder real world Rangers struggled this season).

Also trying to figure out how I'm going to replace the Newcastle 5, as four of them have played major roles in my season.

Just make sure you win the league. There's a major bug with the promotion playoffs if you have to play the 11th place team from the SPL for promotion. The season resets before the final round, and your team suddenly goes on vacation and drops down to off-season levels of condition and fitness.

EDIT: Never mind, just realized you aren't in your first season on 15. For some reason I thought you had just recently started 15.

Anyway, I'll just leave this warning here in case someone wants to start a save with one of the "big 3" that start in the Championship.

No you're right, I had just recently started on 15. That's a good bit of info.

I'm up 9 points on Hearts with 9 to play.

Ah, alright. I learned the hard way with Hearts. Made it through Rangers to get to that last round (Hibs won the league). Then had to play the final two legs with guys that were down in the 30s-40s for condition by the end of the match. The other team had the same problem, but it really put a damper on the whole thing.

It's too bad because starting out in that league with those 3 there is really interesting - would make a fun 3-man network save.

My issue right now is a string of injuries late in the year and Hearts are wittling my lead down. Really missing Cammy Bell as my defense is now leaking goals that never happened before.

WOW that's a crazy finish to the season, so tight on the final day.

Reading couldn't hold onto that draw for a few more minutes? Damn them, cost you the title.

Scottish Championship comes down to the final day...that's right I coughed up a 9 point lead thanks to injuries to key players. But they are healthy, and I've won my last 3 matches in dominating fashion. Hearts though haven't lost a match since January 3rd.

I'm one point back....and as luck would have, #1 vs #2 on the final match day.

                                EDIT: What a nervy affair.
