As Estonia for WC2018 qualifying, I have Leichtenstein, Greece, Bosnia, and Faroe Islands. I think I might have a shot. 25% chance, but a chance.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Following my sacking in the Polish 2nd division, it was summer 2016 and I got offered the job at Dungannon Swifts, who had just been relegated from the Northern Ireland Premiership to the Championship 1.
I pretty much gutted the team and built it to the best I could for that level. The board want me to get promoted back up to the Prem, so it's do or die.
The most important player I brought in was this 17 year old on loan from Premiership side, Glenavon. He has been incredible so far this season and is a huge playmaker in the midfield. Here's his stats at just over the half-way point:
Here's how we're doing in league and cups:
As you can see by the league positions graph, the season started horribly. I made a slight adjustment to my tactics and it's paid off big time! 1st 6 league matches: 1W, 1D, 4L. Last 6 matches: 5W, 1D, 0L. Hoping this form continues to the end of the season.Huskers | Chelsea FC | Minnesota United | OmahaComment

My GK having a form of his life
So what does FM do? Break his finger!! I hate this game.
Now I lose my striker for a month, and my DM breaks his foot.
Edit: Going to play in the promotion playoffs instead of automatic promotion because I allowed 2 goals after the 85th minute in my 2nd to last match, and tied against a bottom-table team in my final match. Sad..Last edited by Kobalt; 05-16-2015, 05:11 PM.Comment

I had no choice with a few players. They wanted out because the club was relegated and I couldn't convince them to stay.Huskers | Chelsea FC | Minnesota United | OmahaComment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Losing in the final of the promotional playoff sucks, was hoping I get promoted in back to back years. Hoping I win the League Two next year, I have the squad to do it.
Also, I'm already on my third chairman in like 7 years lol.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Second leg against Porto in the Best Placed Third Qualifying Phase. Down 2-1 and we're at Porto. Doesn't look good for me. I decide to shake my tactics up and drop my two central mids to defensive mids but don't change much else. Porto really took it to my back line at Ibrox and we were lucky to only lose 2-1.
Lee Wallace opened the scoring in the 18th minute to make it 2-2 on aggregate, but Porto still held the away goal tiebreaker. Porto though answered right back a few minutes later to make it 3-2 on aggregate.
It looked like that what it was going to end like. But then magic happened. Lee Wallace sprung a counter attack on the left wing and launched a cross to Zeli Ismail, who blasted the ball off the volley and deflected right off the keeper into the net, undoing Porto's tiebreaker advantage.
We go to all the way to penalties. Luke Young hits the post, Jesse Lingard gets his shot saved. With Porto holding a 3-1 advantage after three rounds, things are looking very bleak and I'm resigned to dropping down to Europa. Then Mark Ridgers saves Danilo's shot. Ismail, the equalizing man, keeps up alive to make it 3-2. Then Ridgers saves Maleka's shot. Lee Wallace steps up and slots one past the keeper to make us level at 3-3 after five rounds.
In the sixth round, Ridgers gets another save, leaving it all up to Lewis MacLeod. And with advancement to the next qualifying round of the champions league, MacLeod calmly slots the shot home and deadens the crowd.
RANGERS ADVANCE! WATP!!!
I'm not sure how we freaking won that match....and now it's on to face Tottenham to advance to the Group Stage.Last edited by jasontoddwhitt; 05-18-2015, 09:59 PM.Comment

Btw, how is Deulofeu doing for you? He's such a beast in my Roma save. I can't believe I got him for free or that he was rotting in Barca's reserves.Comment

Leg 1 at White Hart Lane, I secured a scoreless draw, thanks to Tottenham playing a man down for most of the match. The return leg at Ibrox just left me speechless.Comment

Sturridge is on Rangers and Bendtner is on Spurs. Your save's world is weird.Comment
