Gonna try a journeyman since my San Marino save has been crashing during the game lately..

Starting unemployed after loading these leagues, let's see where it takes me

First job is at Shelbourne FC in Ireland 2nd division

When your team finds a great run of form..........

We started the season 1-0-7 in the league. Including a stretch where we didn't score a goal for 4 full games. I was starting to get worried about my job status; the board did not come to me formally, but I knew I couldn't keep it going like this and keep my job.

I have a pretty young team. I'm playing 3 Academy players in my starting XI. A 17 year old RB, 19 year old CB, and 19 year old CM. So that might have been a contributing factor, it took them a little while to settle in.

I didn't do a tactical overhaul, but I did make some tweaks. Since then it's been quite a ride, we've gone 9-3-3 in the league, and have shot up from rock bottom to very solidly mid-table.

I have a feeling that some of the bigger clubs in the league will be sniffing around my Academy players, but I'm hoping I can hold on to them. I'm pretty attached to that group, and there's some more I have playing off the bench who I could slot in, phasing out some older more expensive players.

Ideally, I will get one more coaching license after the one I'm doing now (currently studying for a Continental B License) and then start looking for bigger jobs, but I'd really like to get Tubize into Europe before I leave Belgium.

FM 17 is $10 on steam, FM 18 is $38 if you have FM 17.

        FM 18 drops Nov 10th

Made quite the controversial decision this afternoon. January 2017 transfer window comes around, and Bayern inquire about Alexis Sanchez. I reply back: 120 million dollars.

They comeback with a 120 million dollar transfer offer. I of course accept. Biggest deal I've ever done in FM in 6 years.

Turned that money into Kolasanic and Lemar. Wanted Lacazette but Lyon wanted 150 million.

Thanks for the heads up. I missed the big discount last year by one day because I was stupid. Just pre ordered 18 now. I love that they continue to give discounts to loyal customers.

My team is going through a huge transition period this year, it sucks and it's affecting morale and results, but it's so much $$$$$$$$.

              For reference:
Linus Wahlqvist joined 7/7/2021 for £4m from Crystal Palace and made 31 league appearances
Oliver Urso joined 1/7/2021 for £0 from Cesena and made 2 league appearances
Fran Garcia joined 1/7/2021 for £0 from Real Madrid and made 27 league appearances
Lucas Jensen joined 4/7/2017 for £0 from Hobro IK and made 122 league appearances
Andreas Hansen joined 15/8/2019 for £24k from HB Køge and made 62 league appearances
Stefan Gartenmann joined 30/6/2018 for £100k from sc Heerenveen and made 95 league appearances
Martin Frandsen joined 1/7/2017 for £0 from FC København and made 90 league appearances
Lukas Talbro joined 16/1/2019 for £24k from Brentford and made 32 league appearances
Elliot Rosseau joined 1/7/2021 for £0 from Valenciennes and made 40 league appearances

So basically we turned £4.15m into £90m. Fans aren't happy though, some players are distraught at the departures of Fran Garcia and Elliot Rosseau(the best offensive players on the team)

In my current long term save, he ended up there and stayed for a decade. He also ended up with the Premier league most goals in a season. They won the league, FA and CL that season. Never won anything again after that.

I can't stop laughing at this, only because it's happened to me too many times.

I then got hired by U.C.D, they were promoted to Irish Premier Division.

I got fired and then somehow got a better job, Lane Kiffin would be proud of me.

Lost 1-0 to QPR in an FA Cup Semi final and looked awful as well. First loss in 3 months.

Fighting with the other North London club and City for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in the league. United looks to have the title locked up.

I also forgot to mention, I got past the round of 16 with Arsenal!! Beat them 5-1 at the Emirates and parked the bus for a 0-0 draw in Paris. Lost to Juventus 1-1 on away goals in the quarterfinal.

I have no idea how he scored 22 goals with these attributes

Is there a good way to start in the 17/18 season using FM17? I know there are updated databases and everything, but I hate that it means the dates are all wrong. Is there no way to trick the dates of the game?

I'm to the point where I want to start a few new saves, but specifically starting in the 17/18 season, and FM18 doesn't come out until November.
