I went on a run of 9 unbeaten (including wins against Liverpool and Arsenal), only to be brought down to earth by City away where I lost 2-0.

I’m now sniffing the Europa League places, have about 50 million in the bank, and the board has granted just about every request I made. The Watford board really likes my success.

I'm getting my national c license so that's likely all I'll get out of this season, but I still have half a season to try and salvage something. I'm not confident, though, this team is allergic to scoring.

I was saved by Scotland League 2 not having automatic relegation. Finished bottom, as predicted, and went into a relegation playoff. Home leg was first and finished 1-1 which led to quite a thriller in the second leg. I was given a contract extension but that was entirely dependent on keeping the club in League 2.

          Leg 2:

The winner scored by none other than 15 year-old Colin McCann, who came through the youth intake just 2 months prior. Half that youth intake featured players of first team quality, to give you an idea of how bad Albion Rovers are.

          Spoiler

So I escape the drop and prepare for another season, can't wait to remake this squad and get rid of all the dead weight.

I was unceremoniously fired from Blackpool after starting 0-4-11 in our second year in the Championship. I tried to defend my position with our promotion and unexpected finish, as well as strong dressing room support and the board decided it was time to go in a new direction.

This obviously means I started a new save.

He has a win percentage of 76 - meet the man who now holds record for the longest single game of Football Manager and see how many trophies he's won

I think my longest is 24 years.

Does anyone use wide playmakers or wide target men in their tactics? I was rebuilding my tactics and looking at all roles and totally forgot those even existed(also if I have playmakers, I usually like to have them be more central to the attack). Just curious if anyone has used those roles and had any success.

Back in Ligue 1 and squad is now fully homegrown. Expected to go straight back down though.

I'm having entirely too much fun setting up training and getting super in to this save. I'm in the third division of Turkey and my players hated me, and I mean, hated me more than any time I've ever started a new job, after two games, there was a 10-player mutiny that I did my best to quell, now two and a half months later I've got the full support of the squad, the tactics I implemented are taking hold, and we are roundhousing every other team in the league. I think this is the most fun I've had with an FM game in so long. I don't feel like I'm even just going through the motions.

So I put down my Watford save yesterday and went back to the Arsenal one. Ended up beating PSG in the Champion League quarterfinals, and get matched up with Bayern in the semis.

I got the home tie first, but Zee Germans managed to find a way to overcome a 45 minute sending off, and also found a way to draw a game 2-2 after being 2-0 down. They were also helped by a classic FM GK howler from Pau Lopez who tried his best Neuer imitation.

I also have 2 PL matches in between the second leg, in which I am in a dogfight for the 4th place trophy.

I was seriously considering throwing A LOT of money at Jan Oblak after the GK blunder I witnessed in the CL semi...until this email came across my desk:

It only has United finances listed as “secure”, which puts them in the same category as the mid table sides. Interesting.

Edit: Sold Lucas Torreira for 60 million is to PSG. He wanted a “significant” pay raise, I wasn’t gonna stop him.
