It's a joke, one that you apparently don't get.

I actually realize that Spanish players have names aside from Lopez, Perez & Garcia.......but unless your real familiar with La Liga the names tend to blend together, at least for me.

Is that the Jim Stevens from USL2's Real Maryland?

I'm not sure, his History doesn't show any Maryland, but he is the only Jim Stevens in my db. It does show he played for Harrisburg City in 2006.

Anyway, he had an immediate impact in his first game, scoring and playing an instrumental part in my 2-1 win over Tonbridge.

Cool. He's fitting in well, he should be useful.

              Quick update:

FM decided to knock me down, then kick me over and over again.

We lost a home game we should have won 3-1, and I lost 3 starters for 3-4 weeks.

Minor issue in my game, since acquiring Sandro in August I noticed that his ratings have been dropping, across the board, despite having him on Tug's DMF training schedule & him turning in fine performances (7.13 avg rating in 10 league matches).

Why the sudden decline? He's 20 years old, has loads of potential & is playing well as a regular in the squad....but 5 tech & 6 mental attributes have a down red arrow. What gives? How do I prevent this decline?

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

Started up a game a couple weeks back. Since I have been watching a lot of Hyundai A-League due to my crazy insomnia. I chose to manage Gold Coast United due to the fact they have Shane Smeltz. Its quite a challenge as a A-League team due to their crazy salary cap like the MLS. Makes you more fiscally responsible thats for sure.

Took some work to get a squad that I felt comfortable with especially since this is their expansion year in the A-League. But as of right now I am in second with only Melbourne in front of me. I was up 2-0 on them at my place only to see them come back and win 3-2.

Here is the squad only a couple of familiar names their like Burciaga Jr. or Culina.

Run a 4-1-3-2 since I my wingers are dreadful and that with only 4 subs I find it easier to mix and match with the Center and Def Mids easier. Plus that is where a good chunk of my talent lay.

Smeltz has been in fine form with his goals and assists he is a major force.

Next is Fonseca who is a Costa Rican great, he has the most goals in their national team history and at age 35 he is still a beast. Six goals in eight goals for a man of his age is mighty nice. Unfortunately he will be shipped out after next year or sooner since his age is catching up to him.

Burciaga Jr and Culina have been great and I will throw them up to give them a little spotlight.

Did you lose your captain for the entire season (Cannavaro), your AM (van der Vaart), attacking minded CM (Hamsik), CDM (Gargano), and ST (Quagliarella) all at the same time? Yeah, those 3 weeks sucked and included a 5-1 drubbing to the hands of Juve.

Sometimes, this happens....check and make sure he's happy and your coaches are skilled. That's really all I can think of
