I got relegated to Ligue 2 after finishing 19th (I was 20th for like 35 weeks) and the worst thing isn't players wanting to leave, players having low morale, me giving good players low relegation release clause because I'm dumb, or losing the $$$.

It's going back to 5 subs and not 7.

Not what I had planned for in my first beta save. But yes, I will try and rewrite the qualifying disaster. Thank you very much FM18 for the wonderful suggestion.

My appointment has angered the fans, lol. Great start.

First match crash happened to me too, it's crashed a couple times since then, the biggest issue i've run into is when it's processing and nothing shows up, then it ends up like a week behind, it's just weird.

I love this FM so far, the massive amounts of information you're now given on player morale and how the players are reacting to you is amazing. I haven't seen much of it in action as many of my players hate me or don't respect me, but we'll see how we get along as the season continues. I took over Nottingham Forest in 24th place in the Championship, we've moved to the cusp of escaping the relegation zone, but not til we started my tenure as manager 0W 5L 1D.

As usual when starting out my tactics are horrid abominations, I attempted to use one of the new roles in the central midfield, but it went.... very poorly. We've settled nicely into a 4-3-2-1, even if none of our strikers are particularly adept at finding the back of the net.

With the total amount of information available now, I envision a harder time taking over clubs and re-making them, but I also see myself getting completely buried in piles of information and it taking me even longer to complete seasons.

Match Engine and graphical updates are nice, but your players sometimes still make some real dumb choices.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

I don't know if this is a bug, or some weird stuff with dynamics.

I signed a new player who the scouts said "would fit in well with the core group of players". When he signed, it recommend that I ask a key player to welcome him instead of the captain. I thought that was odd, but I went with it. He refused. Said he didn't want that responsibility. I said but you carry weight in the locker room, and he said no I don't want to do this. So I said okay thanks. Then I went to the captain and to ambassador duties and asked him to welcome him. He said no too. I said but you are the captain and this is your duty. He said no I don't think that is a good idea, you should do it. I said "I'm not buying that". To which he replied "Tough. See ya." End of convo.

                      What. The. Frack.

EDIT: I think I might know what it is. Because all interactions are going poorly. They don't respect me. And don't support me. In the dynamics stuff its all super negative about manager things, support, moral, backing, etc. I've only been in the job two weeks. This feels impossible to gain their trust/support.

The long road to support is very long.

Two weeks ago 20 players opposed me in the dressing room, we're down to 11!

For the people in the beta.

Is this version with so much feedback easier than past iterations?

I agree. Is it just me or does it seem when in a game now it takes longer to Sim the match?
