I was wondering if FM14 lets you do a league with a bunch of different managers?? if yes just the direction I need to go to get it started. or if no is there another version of fm or another game that has it. thanks much.

Do you mean multiple human managers? If so, I believe you can.

At least in FM13 and previous versions you could. I remember running a save where I ran all the MLS teams and the USMNT because I had no life lol.

yes. i want to basically have ten or so friends each control a team and do the season vs each other and let the computer do whatever teams we dont run. that way we aren't always playing vs the computer. we used to do it in BM all the time.

i need to dig thru the manual a bit more.

I did this once in FM13 to play around (with just 1 friend), and the host needs to basically be online at all times and everyone needs to click to advance every day, otherwise you'll end up with either the game advancing without everyone, or people playing their own copies of the game.

I'm not an expert, since I only did it once for a few hours, but I felt the best way to do it would be to set aside X hours every week and have everyone get on and play at that time.

So I have loaned a player out, but he can be recalled. However, I don't see the option to recall him anywhere in game. Does this have to happen inside the transfer window? That would explain why I don't see the option. My 2nd, 3rd, and 4th string GKs are all out injured, which is I why I want to do the emergency recall, if possible. But the January transfer window is one month away, so hopefully I won't have to wait that long.

Sometimes it's under contract, sometimes it's under transfer, I always struggle to find it as well.

Look under Squad too. The menu where you can send players to your affiliates.

Thanks, guys. I can't find it under squad, transfer, or contract. I'm now assuming FM only lets you do it during the transfer window. I'll let you know once I get there.

I would think you could do it any time during the free transfer period.

EDIT: Found some clarification on this. If it is a long-term loan, you may only recall them in the January window. Short-term loans can be recalled at any time. I think whether they are paying you a fee also has something to do with it. If they are paying you a monthly fee, I don't believe they can be recalled.

If you can recall the player, it will be under the Transfer tab as 'Recall From Loan'

Yeah, this wasn't a fee paying loan (though it was 100% wages), but it was for the entire season so I had to wait until January. By that point, some GKs had gotten healthy and I no longer needed to recall.

Buying FM15 soon. Main gripe with FM14 is that it hangs a lot(Goes into not responding mode sometimes). What is FM15 like?

I had the same problem with 14 especially when starting up. I don't notice it as much this year

I've noticed it less with 15 compared to 14, but it still happens. It really depends on your computer and how many leagues you have loaded/database size. The bigger the database and more leagues you have, the better chance it's going to hang up when saving or advancing. Not a big deal, but if you're impatient then it will probably annoy you.

out of interest had you downloaded graphical updates to the game? The game slows down on loading depending on the amount of extra graphical updates it has to load up as well. So if it's loading up a facepack, logos kits etc, it can take a while longer. Noticed with FM15 that this seems to have optimised though - definitely quicker

ingame hangs will be down to the size of the database, and this increases the further into the game you go (you will notice your save files will get bigger the longer you play it for. again, this has been optimised on fm15 as far as i can tell as it runs a lot smoother for me)
