Anyway, what skin do you guys prefer? I like the Andromeda, but then would need to DL the 'backgrounds' pack which is like 8 GB. Ugh. lol. Might just roll default for a while.Arsenal | New York YankeesComment

I used Wannachupbrew mostly. Although I don't think he has one out for 17 yet.University of Minnesota Golden Gopher Hockey

Re: Any FM-related questions? Ask them here
EDIT: I've found a few on fm-scouts and sortitoutsi today. Playing around with them. I like a couple of them. Going to be hard to settle on one to use. I might start playing around with combining some elements of each into one. Hmm.Last edited by Zac; 11-11-2016, 07:15 PM.

So I started a save with Oxford City, the pits of English football!...
When I go to the tactics screen, and change player positions for the upcoming match, there jersey number do not appear above the players name and position?...is my club too poor for numbers on the back of jerseys? haha!
...also is there anyway i can get my portrait in the game?...instead of the cyberfaceLast edited by Matty Aqua; 11-11-2016, 11:44 PM.Comment

And I don't think there is a way to get your pic in the game for a manger this year. Many people have been complaining about this on the SI forums.

Re: Any FM-related questions? Ask them here
Lower divisions don't have league rules about numbers. Each team just has 1-11 for the players picked for that game, and 12-16/18 for the subs depending on the league rules. I'm not sure if this is due to the majority of clubs in these leagues being amateur status or what. Maybe someone else can clarify.

Not really. I've only been playing FM for a year. Most of these guys know way more than me. I just happen to check the boards often, lol. And these were all questions I had when I started.

Re: Any FM-related questions? Ask them here
So I have a question regarding tactics. I am doing something wrong when I set them up. I envisioned these to work as the ‘team sheets’ do on FIFA—but something I am doing is resulting in that not being the case. I’ll try to articulate this the best I can…
I set up the formation I want, with the players I want, in the specific roles I want. Good to go. Then I want to create another tactic, that is completely different re: formation, players, roles, etc. But I can’t seem to go ‘back and forth’ without it messing EVERYTHING up.
Does each tactic not work as a ‘team sheet’ does in FIFA? In FIFA each sheet is independent of the rest, yet what I am doing in FM—they seem to be connected, somehow.
I hope this makes sense—and I hope that you’re able to helpArsenal | New York YankeesComment

BUT, when you make a new tactic, it sets the roles and instructions to default. And you have to change them to what you want. It wont copy them from the previous tactic. If you have an empty slot and set a new one from the menu, everything will be default. And if you change one of your current ones via the menu, everything will be reset to default. That is just how it is. So in that case, if one is setup and you want to change it to something else, its best to move the positions around on the visual tactic map to the new ones. That way roles are maintained. As are instructions.
And, its not like FIFA in the fact that you can just randomly change to a new formation/tactic any old time you want and expect it to work. Players have to be trained to use it and be used to it in order to perform well in it. Making vastly different formation changes mid season will have a bad result.
Or do you mean something else?

You can also save team selections so when you switch to a formation you could load the selection that matches the formation instead of switching the players one by one.Comment

Ha, I didn't know you could do this. I just found this now that you said that. Holy crap. That will be so much faster saving rotation selections than constantly hunting for players and moving them around. Thanks.

Re: Any FM-related questions? Ask them here
If you mean the players being moved out of position when you switch between two created tactics, it just does that. They are not connected. Each tactic is independent of the others, and can have completely different instructions. I've always had issues with it moving players to random positions when switching between them myself. But it doesn't change any instructions or player roles.

Example: 2 screens below, the first one is my 'main team'. Then I went and messed with alternate tactics. Then came back to my normal tactic, and photo 2 is what I found.

Re: Any FM-related questions? Ask them here
Yeah, some times it just moves the players back to the incorrect spot if the roles/positions they are in are different per tactic. Its not actually changing anything else however. You just have to move them back. Or as ImTellinTim said, save the selection and just load it. Where it says Quick Pick, hit the drop down arrow, save.

Nothing like taking your lunch break to play FM and get smashed by Sunderland.
lol
How much time do you guys put into tactics? I feel like I am easily overwhelmed by how in depth they are. Part of me says I'm trying to make things too complicated, and another part of me says I'm not going deep enough.
I ensure my players are in appropriate roles/positions, but outside of that--I really don't do much by way of specific instructions...Arsenal | New York YankeesComment
