Re: Any FM-related questions? Ask them here
What is his current badge? Pro is the highest. And if he is already studying for one it will also not be there. It tells you this just to the right of the contract at the top. Under reputation. I assume he is already Pro or is currently on one.
Also if you've already asked to send someone on one and it was turned down. You have to wait six months to be able to ask for that person again.Last edited by Zac; 01-20-2018, 03:23 PM.

Here's another though, not sure what gives...?
I don't have to request to send a coach via the board page first do I? You were just suggesting I go to the coach's page to send...?Arsenal | New York YankeesComment

Depending on what nation you're in they have to meet a set of requirements. Check your league rules pageSupport Local Sports

Remind me, guys. If I'm trying to raise a player's determination through tutoring, which option do you select? The second one, about taking them under your wing off the field?

Tutored players change to the same level of determination (up or down) as the player doing the tutoring no matter what option you select there. The only difference is with Option 2, the player will not learn preferred moves, which is good if you don't want negative things like "Argues with Officials" to transfer over.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 01-25-2018, 03:32 PM.Comment

Re: Any FM-related questions? Ask them here
In FM18 they don't actually change to their determination anymore. It only increases up to a set amount. So someone with 5 determination wont just jump to 18 if their tutor has 18. At least I've never seen it in this years. It usually caps out at a only a couple points. I think maybe 5.

That's good to know. All mine did change to the tutor's but they were pretty close to begin with in all my cases in 18 so far.

Re: Any FM-related questions? Ask them here
You still can. I was only half correct apparently. It must depend on the player being tutored personality in some way.
I've seen it only come up a few points, and not reach the tutors number. But I just did one where a youngster went from 6 to 17, the tutors determination. His personality also changed from balanced to resolute, same as the tutors. But the another two kids he tutored only went from 1 to 6, and 3 to 9. But their personalities were unambitious. And they are now balanced. So maybe that is what caused that.
Long story short, I was wrong and your player will more than likely match his tutors determination. Unless they are unambitious.

Re: Any FM-related questions? Ask them here
Is there any rhyme or reason to your coaching attributes going up?
Here is my profile showing my attributes:
Like, is it something I'm doing that is making that Fitness rating stay at 1? Working with youngsters confuses me too. Over the course of my career, I've played quite a bit of youth players, I would think that would make that rating go up.University of Minnesota Golden Gopher Hockey

Re: Any FM-related questions? Ask them here
Working with youngsters and level of discipline will never, ever increase. No matter what you do. Not even badges increase them. Its been that way for a couple years now. Same with adaptability. These three will never go up. On the SI forums they say that adaptability should be working if you get lots of international jobs, but its not. And they have claimed a fix for discipline is in the works for the last two years. They ignore the youngster complaints.
The rest is based on how well you perform I believe, based on your badge level and the rep of the team/league. And of course getting badges gives you a boost to everything when you complete each course. Except the aforementioned three. I think you naturally get a point a year in most attributes as long as you are doing well and meeting exceptions. And you get more if you surpass them. At least that is how it seems. I'm not sure anyone but SI knows for sure. I've never been able to find any solid info or guide explaining the math behind how it works.
