Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***
I still believe we have a MUCH better chance at winning the league, so to me, it's more of a priority than Tuesday.Comment

You're welcome. Now quit dropping points at home against the likes of Sunderland and you might have a chance. Get United out of there.Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***
Yeah - I'm even more mad about yesterday because had we been better finishers, we'd be a point back instead of 3! Such as life. I'd like a trophy this year in any event, but the league is going to be the one I want most tooComment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***
That point is still huge, though. If we win our game in hand, we're level on points so it could come down to our match against United. Three points would've been massive yesterday, but the point was still much bigger than none given the circumstances.Comment

Mascherano thinks we'll play a little more defensively.
Javier Mascherano said Barcelona would be making a mistake if they believed Arsenal can play only attacking football
I think if anything, we may try and hit them on the counter, but we're certainly not going to come out and say, let's just protect our one goal lead. Wenger has always rightly stated that a one goal lead is never enough (we know a four goal lead isn't enough) and I think we'll attempt to play our style no matter what. If that means setting up for more counters, okay, but we will not sit back and let Barca attack us.Comment

You know United would've if the shoe was on the other foot."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. Even if you're giving minimal effort there is no way you can fail."

Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***
My point exactly - we have to start taking advantage of dropped points more. When United lost to Wolves, we blew the 4-goal lead at Newcastle. When United lost this weekend, we again drew with a team we should beat. Imagine if we had beaten Newcastle, we'd be tied with United.
Tuesday is going to be a tough tough game. Keeping my fingers crossedComment

Sky is reporting that Alex Song will miss tomorrow's CL match with a knee problem but Fabregas is likely to travel and be fit.Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***
So who does everyone think should replace Song in starting 11? I think that's a choice that might make or break the game.Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***
That's a pleasant surprise - I wonder if Wenger's gambling on his fitness. I certainly hope he's fully fit or close to it because I'd rather save him for the Premier League matches we have coming up. Wenger said it himself that the league is his priority. I would assume he'd only use RVP if he was truly fit or is this a Wenger mind trick?Comment
