They didn't sign TV5 long term for him to nurse injuries...he'll be back with a clutch header soon.

Am I the only one that think Kos, at this point, is better than Mertesacker? There were at least 3 times yesterday where Per basically fell down and looked uncoordinated and slow. Kos makes mistakes too but he's always a lot better with TV5 next to him. Per also has done absolutely nothing on our set pieces.

I think we need to give him time to adjust, but I'm thrilled that we actually have different choices back there.

Man was that a boring game of football. Glad we got the points but man was that a snooze fest. I'm just amazed Gervinho wasn't out there from the start, he hasn't been great this year but he at least looks dangerous when he's out there and that more than you can say for Walcott or Arshavin.

I didn't see the full game, but read Arshavin was rather poor even by his low standards. We're going to lose so much money when we get rid of him.

I think Gervinho was being rested for Sundays game, and Wenger hoped not to have to use him. But the score was tied, a win was within our grasp, so Gervinho was subbed on.

Like Wenger said recently, Mertesacker had literally no time to prepare for the season. We sign him, then less than a week later he's playing. As you give him time, he will adjust and make some plays. Wenger actually called him out and said he wants to see him score a goal against Stoke.

Speaking of Stoke, does anyone know the broadcast situation for this weekend?

Forget scoring, we need him to nullify Crouchy and his nachos.

Also, looks like Djourou will be in at RB as Jenkinson is out for a a few weeks.

In terms of TV, looks like Foxsoccer.tv and FoxSoccerPLUS.

Only got to see the highlights, but from what I read it was a very slow game that wasn't even highlighted by the few chances each team created. The goal however was great to get and hopefully will help our guys learn exactly what can happen if we have multiple players making runs to get on the end of a cross. You may not get on the end of it, but you can pull away defenders from the guy who will get the ball.

For the type of team we are, a committed attack from multiple players could turn out to be some of our best defense.

Still might be a full two weeks away from returning, but it's definitely a great sign. If he returns before Jenkinson, I'm sure we'll slide Kos out to the right.

                            I heart RVP.

edit: Good grief. RVP again. Wenger you cannot let him leave.

RVP gets subbed in, instant difference. The man is pure class.

Brace by him, he comes on and humps Stoke.
