Keep Diaby fit lads, he tore us a new one today. I thought Jenkinson looked very solid as well. Well done lads, you deserved it.

It looked like he took a nock from the Gerrard Challenge and then the clearance in the 6 yard box in the 82 minute.

Do you think perhaps keeping Carroll may have been beneficial today?

To be fair Liverpool played well, just lacked polish in the final third. Joe Allen is really good and things can only getter better with him. Steven Gerrard did not play his well though. I am impressed with the defence but I still have to see how they do against Chelsea and Man City.

Definitely! Especially when Downing came on for the poor Borini. Downing won several corners which would have been Andy Carroll's cue. We need someone other than Gerrard taking them though as his delivery in all apsects so far this season have been abysmal.

I agree. I thought Liverpool was a little better in the midfield sans Diaby in the first half while Arsenal were great in the back and in the final third. They had more possession, quality challenges and bossed it a little more. The game was much closer than the 2-0 scoreline shows. I'm just glad the boys finally decided to shoot to the damn ball instead of waiting for the the perfect play.

Diaby proved me soooooooooooooo wrong today. Now can he stay fit and can he handle the EPL week in and week out and hold the ball up against the West Ham, West Brom and Newcastle. Cue my wishing for M'Vila.......

Apparently the Gooners in attendance were chanting "you're the Spurs of Merseyside."

great game all around. I was really impressed with Giroud, he missed shots granted but he looked great as a target man and I know his goal scoring talent will show soon enough.

Agreed. He looks to be almost there, and he's always in the spots we need him to. Much better of an option than say, Chamakh.

As for Diaby, I'm hoping we see the same from him as we did from RVP last year. Anyone who follows the team knows that if he can stay healthy, he'd be a massive asset to the club. He's been fantastic so far.

Really? He is energetic but he's gaffed every chance he's had so far this year, including 2 today.

He had some fantastic shots that were stopped by crazy saves in the Koln game in preseason. While I would love to see him have one by now, it's far too early to give up on him. He can score, as he proved in Ligue 1 last year. I think it's just a matter of him getting comfortable and settling down.

I could do without the missed shots, obviously, but he is taking shots and I like that, the shots will fall and I think he is going to be very important to us this season.

After a good start to the season I fully expect a devastating injury to happen during the International break.
