Sunday is a pretty big test. As of now, I feel I would be hugely elated with a win. With a draw, I would feel we're pretty much where we should be. If we lose, I'll be a bit disappointed. Maybe that is wrong, but it's how I feel as of now.

Let's hope Diaby got his fill of stupid decision making in and around our box and won't feel the need to do it against City. He had a pretty terrible game, had a ton of turnovers, and will be eaten alive by City if he plays like this.

On the other hand, he's been fantastic in every match before this, so hopefully this was an anomaly.

        Good news....

Wilshere and Frimpong are both back at full training.

I was just about to post that same article. It's says Wilshere should be back to game action by October. Hopefully it doesn't take him too long to regain the same form he had before his injury.

Can't expect that so quickly. Here's hoping he can provide quality shifts and depth behind Cazorla/Arteta.

Finally glad he is in full training, he has been out for way too long. It is a good thing he has youth on his side and maybe this long term injury may work out in his favor, also he can also finally stop filling up his arms with tattoos out of boredom.

                A fully-healthy Cazorla/Arteta/Wilshere midfield trio is a prospect I'm drooling over.

But as you said, I don't expect that to happen so quickly, as Wilshere will need time to get back into the swing of things. I just hope he can recover, even if not right away, to the point where he can get his career back on track.

Exactly. The more quality healthy midfielders the better. Especially when the other competitions begin. Players are going to need rest inbetween all the premier league, FA Cup, Carling Cup & CL games. The more rest our quality players get, the less chance they'll have of getting injured, and actually win one of those competitions.

I don't see Cazorla/Arteta/Wilshere playing together unless its due to injury. I think Diaby/Coquelin/Frimpong has to be be in there at all times. Ramsey/Rosicky can play either Cazorla or Arteta spot.

I look forward to being able to start

Coquelin/Ramsey/Wilshere in a Carling Cup match and still do work.

No reason to mess up a good thing. Arteta, Santi, and Diaby start until one gets hurt. Wilshere can sub in for Arteta in the holding midfielder role or play the Santi role.

I think if everyone on the team was healthy, it would be Wilshere, Diaby and Cazorla in midfield.

I don't think Arteta loses his spot. I don't think Wenger makes him vice captain if he didn't plan to play him when available. I think Cazorla makes a move to the wing once Jack gets fully ready to be a mainstay in the starting XI which I don't think happens to the beginning of the year, at the earliest.

Arteta's been playing the holding midfielder role, so I could see him staying there with Cazorla and Wilshere as the front two. Cazorla could, of course, move to the wing, but I don't think that will happen if Gervinho keeps playing the way he has.

If Giroud keeps playing the way he has then there will be an opening at LW as well.

it would be nice to ideally get as many of them on the field as possible. i really would like to see both giroud and podolski up front together. i doubt it would happen but i would love to see this team run some form of 3-5-2
