If Wenger had money to spend, I think he'd spend it. His philosophy on youth was/is a product of the club's finances.

I'm convinced he's just damn good at toeing the company line. I'm sure years after he leaves Arsenal, he'll talk about how his hands were tired for all those years.

After watching the recent ManU game on ESPN, Ian Darke named his All-time Fergie team. I wonder which Gunners would make the All-Time Wenger team. Here's mine:

      GK - David Seaman
      RB - Lee Dixon
      CB - Sol Campbell
      CB - Tony Adams
LB - Ashley Cole (makes my eyes hurt seeing that)
CM - Patrick Vieira (Still hasn't been replaced)
      RM - Fredrik Ljungberg
      LM - Robert Pires
      CAM - Cesc Fabergas
      ST - Dennis Bergkamp
      ST - Thierry Henry

Would love to what my fellow Gunners come up with.
My teams: Cowboys, Knicks, Braves, Arsenal FC, Nittany Lions

I think it's time to sell Ramsey. Nine of ten bad giveaways are his fault.

        Edit: Sagna too...

Ummmm, no. Ramsey has been out most consistent player this year, has been improving from game to game, and I believe will be an important asset to our midfield.

I agree with Danny, Ramsey has been one of our most consistent players, and he's also our most versatile. We've put him all over the field, even at right back(!), and the team needs a player like him who they can slot in at any position, especially given our lack of depth.

Furthermore, I think the last thing this team needs is to be selling who are of starting or rotation quality. We need to add to our depth, not subtract from it. Arshavin? Sure, sell him. He's not good enough to even sub off the bench. But if you get rid of Ramsey, and you have a midfield trio of Arteta, Cazorla, and Wilshere, you're left with Diaby, Fimpong, and Coquelin as subs/rotation players. Diaby can't stay healthy, and Frimpong and Coquelin haven't yet shown they have the quality to feature regularly. The top clubs in Europe all have guys who can step in and provide quality minutes in case of fatigue/injury. Having a player like Ramsey who can be slotted all over the pitch is an extremely valuable commodity.

Spurs need to slip up, damnit. If they win out, we finish 5th.

I'm assuming Chelsea will take care of business.

So, lets just hope Chelsea beat Spurs in their next match. That could end up being what decides the top four.

If Chelsea lose or draw against Man Utd. tomorrow, then the loser of the Chelsea/Spurs match is two or three points behind Arsenal. And if Chelsea/Spurs draw their match, then Spurs are one point behind Arsenal. So we also have to hope Chelsea lose tomorrow.

Good point. Didn't realize that if Chelsea lose tomorrow, they'll be in the same spot as Spurs.

Still the potential for dropped points. But looking at the schedules...

I think Chelsea win out and Arsenal pick up 4/6. Even if Tottenham also won the last two, we'd get 4th on goal difference.

If Chelsea win on Wednesday against Spurs, then I'll be able to sleep a bit easier at night.

I think we'll win our last two, which hopefully is enough to grab our "trophy".

I think we gotta win our next two. I think Spurs drop points to Chelsea and that's it.

Arsenal agree £170m kit deal with Puma

The deal worth more than Liverpool’s new £25m-a-year contract with Warrior and brings to an end Arsenal’s 20-year tie-up with Nike.

The deal, which will not be announced officially for some time, will give Arsenal major additional financial clout on top of the £150m five year shirt sponsorship deal with Emirates.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has already been promised £70m to spend on transfer targets this summer as the club looks to rebuild and strengthen the squad.

Fiorentina’s striker Stevan Jovetic tops the list of targets but his price could go above £20m and that would be new territory for Arsenal.

Kop that! Arsenal deal exceeds Warrior's £25m-per-year promotion of Liverpool
However, the new kit deal will give them confidence that they can spend big.

It will also be a major coup for Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis on top of the Emirates deal and will strengthen his belief that the club are making major strides forward off the pitch which will enable them to compete for the biggest signings.

The new agreement dwarfs the current kit deal with Nike, which is worth £55m over seven years and expires at the end of NEXT season.

I was JUST about to post this, lol.

I can't believe they spend that much on a uniform deal, Puma isn't known for making the best kits, either.

The Mirror? Eh, not very reliable at all.

Well, this morning Arseblog is buying it, which is good enough for me.

                                Announcement everybody

I came across the Arsenal youth club academy currently recruiting young talented and creative players globally into their soccer academy training through an official partnership with Arsenal club.

Individualized training is combined with soccer workshops and activities and i believe it's a unique opportunity for interested Youth to improve their game at the legendary home of Arsenal.
