Brazilian youngster Bernard is supposedly headed to London for a medical this week and will sign a five year deal with Arsenal. Check out these highlights. He's 20 and looks like Cazorla 2.0.

Saw this on the Sky ticker concerning Bernard.

After Arsenal's 3-1 win over Nagoya Grampus today, Arsene Wenger denied reports that the Gunners are set to sign Bernard from Atletico Mineiro.

Wenger denies everything until it is completely done...he always has. The Arteta thing was esp. humorous.

L'Equipe was the one who reported it...they usually don't just throw things out there, esp. with Arsenal.

I'd definitely take him...Gerv's replacement.

Arsene refused to comment as well. We need proven talent, not potential talent. Not happy with the signing.

I think the money would have been spent in other places. Holding mid, striker, and central defense to name a few.

Agreed. We have a dire need for a centre half, but also need a defensive-minded midfield player and hopefully a big-time striker.

But if Arsene is willing to splash the cash, I would certainly be ok adding more talent to the wings and in an attacking mid role.
