Cesc has a 25 million pound buy back clause. They can afford to buy both. All Cesc has to say is that he is ready to come back.

What I dont get is that all of last year everyone was complaining that Wenger didn't buy a replacement for RVP and Arsenal never buy world class players. Well now that we are in serious talk to sign one, everyone is against it. What gives? 40 million is a bargain for Suarez, Without his history or ban he would easily go for the same price as Cavani

...Arsene Wenger’s desire to sign the Uruguay international has intensified after being frustrated in his attempts to sign Real Madrid forward Gonzalo Higuain...
Frustrated? Yeah, offering a bit more money was a tough deal.

        I'm pro Suarez.

But more along the lines of being pro just spend some ****ing money.

"Without his history or ban." But you can't just take away his history/ban. I want to be proud of and admire the players I'm supporting, not being disgusted with their racist/bitey tendencies. Furthermore, it's not as if it's Suarez or nothing. There were/are other world class players available that won't racially insult or bite other players. And no, I don't believe 40 mil is a bargain for a guy who is banned 'til October and isn't a guarantee to not get banned for more games later in the season.

If Suarez comes to the team and scores lots of goals, I'll cheer because Arsenal, the club I love, scored. But I won't be happy we signed Suarez, and I won't cheer the goalscorer himself.

Nothing official yet, but the commentator during the Copa match today announced that he was told by the club "Bernard will be transferred to Arsenal of England after this match."

Also, if Rodgers really does want Cavani money for Suarez, I don't think Arsenal will pay it: http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport...odgers-5316683

I am kinda mad we didn't get Jovetic. I think City got him at a steal. 40 mil for Suarez is absurd, I rather see that money spent on a midfielder and CB.

I think we all know what happens now. Real Madrid offer £55 million for Suarez, he goes there, and we just sit there with our thumbs up our ***.

Madrid could get him for less cause they could use the Higuian money.

So the three strikers we have are Giroud, Podolski, and Sanogo the mailman.

No Napoli have called off Higuain presser. Could Arsenal be making a late charge???

I don't think charges can be made that late, can they?

I heard they are still finalizing the personal contract.

I could be wrong, but wouldn't that be done before a medical? Which I read already took place.

I have no clue, but the point is that this would be quite the theft (which is highly unlikely).

So City get Jovetic, Napoli get Higuain, we get...

I wonder how much our net transfer figure is in the last 2 years?

In: Giroud, Cazorla, Podolski, Gervinho, Mertersacker, Nacho

Out: RVP, Cesc, Nasri, Song, Clichy
