Eh, I wish it wasn't domestic but £24m for someone with an injury filled past who made it clear he wanted to leave and would not sign an extension isn't the worst we could've done. It's not like he was English.

I can't tell you what's gotten into Theo Walcott, but I love it.

He says he had a conversation with Wenger who told him what kind of player he needed to be to stake a spot in the first team, that the conversation made him realize he should be doing things differently on the pitch, and that he should have been doing those things years ago.

We obviously don't know the specifics of what Wenger said (though I'll bet it had to do with effort and tracking back on defense), but it obviously worked.

Koscielny's arms look like they did the job just fine today.

Not a convincing win, but the clean sheet was nice.

These are the games, though, where we are struggling to finish and Wenger should be bringing on a striker. If he doesn't want to sub off Alexis, he can move Alexis to the left. Why Wenger brought on Ox instead of a striker is beyond me.

unless i am looking at the lineups wrong, wenger would have had to put a striker in the lineup as a sub in order to do so. Which makes you wonder where the hell is giroud?

Watched the game yesterday and was constantly screaming at Bellerin. Why does he not cross the ball into the box? He constantly cuts back inside and passes it back to Walcott or Cazorla. He finally crossed it in in like the 92nd minute. Is it because Sanchez is playing up top and he more than likely won't get on the end of it? He's not confident with his crossing ability?

Could very well be instructed not to due not having a physical presence there. The issue has been for years that when we do cross, there is nobody in the box, or just one player and four defenders.

You're right. I didn't realize Giroud wasn't on the bench. That's odd, but maybe he's hurt.

He's been dealing with a "toe injury" for a few weeks now. That's all that is known, I believe.
